The Catholic Church obeys every word and tradition preached by the apostles. Christ being the head of the Church means it can never go wrong in its teachings, else Jesus Himself would be lying. There's no where the scripture disregards the unwritten teachings or traditions. It's unbiblical to disregard the oral teachings of the Apostles because most of their teachings were oral based.

When you understand 2 Thessalonians 2:15, you can conclude that the Thessalonians (if they still exist today) will know and understand the scripture more than anyone whose knowledge is limited to the scripture (bible) only.
