SouthSouth1914:We have only 2 “recycled” presidents... On the average, Nigeria’s heads of state have been considerably YOUNGER than US presidents. Sans the two “re-cycled” presidents, who are effectively OUTLIERS... Elected NIGERIAN presidents Shagari, Yar’Adua and Jonathan were in their 50s. > |
SouthSouth1914:I don’t care about age... Give me COMPETENT leadership. A clueless Yahaya Bello is running Kogi back into the 18th century... While our youngest Senator is assaulting young women in sex shops. SMH > |
martowskin1:Abegi, Trump moves (actually more like shuffles) like a lard arse and speaks like a dotard... ![]() > |
SouthSouth1914:Which was why I had written the following earlier in the thread... 9jaRealist:Nonetheless, emotive discourse like hers misses a more crucial point... I would rather elect the likes of Wole Soyinka than Mompha or Hushpuppi! The saying that “age ain’t but a number” works BOTH ways... We should be looking for capable/competent leaders not younger THIEVES! > |
SouthSouth1914:Same age as Jonathan and barely four years younger than Shagari when each became president... Competence has no nexus with age. Gowon was 32 and IBB was 44 (albeit both were military presidents). > |
SamuelAnyawu:Love is a relative term... A xenophobic Trump is using the Presidency to feather his family’s nest... Meanwhile, Joe Biden’s son gets a board position in an industry he’s clueless about at $50k per month. The US politics is substantively an organized corrupt superstructure... Those with money buy politicians to give them tax breaks and favorable legislation. > |
LAZAREY: ![]() Told dem...lmao *Although, it’s true and we should be turning to a new generation of politicians... But not just younger (we don’t want the Yahoo Yahoo crowd), but SMARTER and INTEGROUS! > |

ijustdey:Useless Minister... Instead of wasting everyone's time issuing "directives" build (or facilitate) backbone infrastructure, and thereby LOWER costs of operators. > |
IjebuWarrior:Whenever you start... Abi you are not Nigerian?! > |
Nothing to see here folks... Just one fraudster supporting another! ![]() > |
The wind has blown and exposed the fowl's nyash... ![]() > |
IF YOU DO THE CRIME, GET READY TO DO THE TIME. We pray that many of these fraudsters will be arrested. Criminals that live on other people's sweat. They have caused many people to commit suicide after emptying everything they have worked for in life! Bastards!! If you are into fraud, your end is coming soon. You guys can't escape it lailai. No be curse, Na FACT! End of DISCUSSION!
BLESS YOU!! > |

AmazingELixir:Open defecation is a NATIONWIDE problem in Nigeria (albeit worse in the North)... It is truly disgusting to witness in 21st century Nigeria, and should be addressed holistically. > |
AutoReportNG:No problem. > |
Correctgist:Which one is “corporate attire”? Ordinary shirt and trousers?! SMH > |
sapele914: Abegi quit the obtuse justification of CRIMINALITY... They are robbing people who had NOTHING to do with slavery. Reparations ko, preparations ni! SMH > |
seanjy4konji:We can walk and chew gum at the same time... Condemning thieving politicians and criminals is NOT mutually-exclusive! > |

AutoReportNG:Beginning to notice that AutoReportNG might be part of the Bourdillon Bullion Gang... Nothing against Sanwo-Olu, but like a few other AutoReport posts credit is never given to the Ambode administration that acquired these ferries. Even the bit about online purchase of tickets is all part of the Ambode administration’s Intelligent Transport System (ITS), which would not only allow for online ticket purchases but also for commute planning and intermodal transfer between ferries and buses (and ultimately the light rail trains as well) without having to buy multiple tickets. Finally, in respect of route development, it was also a carryover from the Ambode administration which was dredging and developing 9 major ferry routes in Lagos (the marine equivalent of road highways), following years of fighting with the National Inland Waterways Authority (which by law under Nigeria’s bizarre “federal” system controlled inland waterways) for control of Lagos’ inland waters (litigation that was in fairness carried over from the Fashola administration). PLEASE GIVE CREDIT WHERE DUE! https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DN4Kt4wW4AA1hHh.jpg https://i2.wp.com/cdn.vanguardngr.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Ferries.jpg?w=1024&ssl=1 > |
DisGuy:Because the Tinubu thugs at the State Assembly wouldn’t pass the budget to make these things operational until Ambode left office... > |
PapaBaby:Abegi, which “canoe” did Sanwo-Olu even buy? The same ferries that was launched a while back by Ambode? https://www.thepledge.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/PIX-6250.jpg > |
acenazt:Enough of our own xenophobia! MTN Nigeria is a Nigerian company (a subsidiary of South Africa’s MTN Group) incorporated in Nigeria under the Corporate Affairs Commission with many Nigerian shareholders, and is now listed and publicly-traded on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. > |
Jaqenhghar:Getting paid in Pounds Sterling is better than in Naira... Furthermore, they are expanding their fanbase and brand. There’s nothing that they would have done in Naija (even Headies) that they cannot do some other time. > |
Jaqenhghar:Or perhaps it's because they get paid in hard currency in London, and it broadens their fan base and market... What exactly would they be doing at Headies that they haven't done before? Or perhaps you don't get that music is their source of livelihood! > |
KingAzubuike: oforjide: Draught: tobby20:Their POUNDS STERLING is still the SAME... ![]() Meanwhile, even though I think the original statement is obviously ignorant of reality, so what is it is only Nigerians/Africans (a potential fanbase of 1.2 billion) that love Wizkid's music or attend his concerts. HE SOLD OUT ALBERT HALL, something that many British artistes cannot do. So why do you need the validation of "white people" (or even black Brits) to validate his music or craft? Low self-esteem?! > |
QuickStandard:Of course he's holding a bible... He's learned from all those Con Artistes in Nigeria. As the saying goes "Everyone wants to get to heaven... But no-one wants to die." He can plead his case there! > |
KingAzubuike:FORBID BAD THING!! I am normally against capital punishment.... But will gladly make an exception for this ANIMAL! > |
rahztafari:The archives section contains documents and books... Many Nigerian professors go there to conduct research. > |
iReddington:Building maintenance is not rocket science, and most private entities simply hire property managers.... But Nigerian ministries/MDAs will employ scores of maintenance people but cannot maintain even a toilet. > |
Juicyjuice: ursullalinda:The money was raised PUBLICLY from donors... It was all over the news when they were fund-raising. > |
