Luckysbab: Sometimes you have to look at cost-benefit. Fighting corruption in Nigeria has proven to be costly, time consuming and counter-productive in several cases. 4 years will soon be up, it isn't that far away. NOT fighting corruption is the COSTLIEST thing Nigeria can do, with NO benefits whatsoever…Real “cost” is not the nominal price you pay for something, but the DAMAGE you suffer for not doing so. > |

Bfly: What is palliative? what is relief material? They should provide relief materials that suit this period of economic disasater. It is not anybody's wish to loot. They would probably be dead before that period they are keeping it for. This is a period of emergency. Everyone is complaining. People are killing themselves. Make use of what is at hand. Tomorrow is a promise. Perhaps you should tell those who created “this period of economic disaster” Meanwhile, a lot of these NEMA relief materials are from aid partners and other international organizations, earmarked for victims of flooding that seems inevitable in these parts of Nigeria during the raining season. This looting is akin to looting IDP camps stores. > |

Dhury: Because of hatred for his Masses the governor can't wait hunger to kill them he finally want to finish them by himself . nowadays democracy in Nigeria is modern day slavery if not how will you charge under age and old women to court after ceased what means for them to feed? Don’t do the crime, if you can’t serve the time… If “old women” can loot, they can equally go to prison. The “under age” kids (pictured below) can go to juvenile… Or they can use those knives they’re wielding to go to the farm! Folks need to quit making excuses for CRIMINALITY!>

What do you want the people to do for crying out loud? They are the ones feeding your family just to represent them... dont forget LARRYOBRAIN: For how many years will they keep all those items meant for farmers and the people. Corruption everywhere. They’re NOT “palliatives”… They’re NEMA relief materials stored for relief in the event of floods prevalent during the raining season. Meanwhile, what sort of mentality even self-entitles people to “rolling out palliatives”? Able-bodied young men (and I see women) fit enough to riot and loot but cannot farm or trade?! SMH > |

Not in anyway encouraging drug abuse… But we have bigger fish to fry in Lagos (or Nigeria generally) than going to clubs to look for drugs.
However, if the Lagos government is serious about looking for druggies… They can start with the Agberos that clog Lagos streets collecting “taxes/tolls” for MC OLUOMO and even the govt.

ElohimShenRa: Why are you trying so hard to convince everybody that this crime was not perpetrated by Nigerians?
We all know the tribe In Nigeria that specializes In stealing vehicles abroad and selling them at their car lots all over Nigeria - claiming importer & exporter.
Your foolish & cursed tribe denigrate & soil Nigeria’s name at any given opportunity by calling her a Zoo or calling the President a stolen mandate - even when your daft candidate came a distant 3rd, but here you are trying so hard to defend Nigeria’s reputation & integrity just to divert attention away from your tribe’s trade & Craft - which is well known to everybody in the Country.
I have said before and I am saying it again, the day the Igbo ethnicity is annihilated & obliterated from Nigeria - is the day 95% of Nigeria’s woes & problems come to an end.
You perpetrate evil & crimes all over the Country and you blame other ethnicity or race for it. In addition to incredibly LOW SELF-ESTEEM… A CRUDE AND PRIMITIVE TRIBALISTIC BIGOT! > |

Jasonjay101: That's a good one. But seriously what I still don't understand is that, why would they let go of the girl that framed him up and put him in this mess in the first place. Why can't the same law that prosecutes sex abusers also prosecute false accusers theophorus: Abeg, wetin dem do to the Girl wen accuse am of Rape?
If nothing is/was done, then this matter get Kleg First, he was NOT accused of rape… But rather of an attempt and bodily assault. Further, there’s no proof that he was “framed up”… The CPS dropped prosecution primarily because key witnesses later withdrew cooperation. The standard of criminal conviction is very high - beyond a reasonable doubt… And there’s no point in persisting with a prosecution that wouldn’t be able to meet that high burden of proof. Without prejudice to Mason Greenwood’s case (none of us were there)… It’s always BETTER to free 10 factually guilty persons than to convict even 1 factually innocent person.Nonetheless, we should never do anything that effectively DISCOURAGES reporting… As it is, too many actual sexual harassments, sexual assaults and rape go unreported (especially in Nigeria)! > |
Politics › Re: I’ll Work With Tinubu To Ensure All Promises Made Are Kept – Dave Umahi by 9jaRealist: 7:44pm On Jul 29, 2023 |
SmartPolician: Dave Umahi said he doesn't know the ministry he would head. The law that compelled the president to appoint ministers within 60 days should be amended to compel him to include their ministeries too.
How can the senate even interview people who they don't know the offices they intend to hold? That doesn't make sense.
If I was Dave Umahi, I wouldn't ditch the senate for a ministerial slot though. If a president truly wants to RAISE standards and set GOOD precedents… He (or she) wouldn’t need a law to compel him to do what’s commonsensical (eg, the US does so without a law). Meanwhile, even the 60 days has become a “minimum” instead of a maximum… If Obasanjo nominated ministers within 6 days, our supposedly “best-ever prepared” president shouldn’t need 60 days. > |
Politics › Re: I’ll Work With Tinubu To Ensure All Promises Made Are Kept – Dave Umahi by 9jaRealist: 7:35pm On Jul 29, 2023 |
HussenAdul: For me o, to be a senator is more better than being a minister. Senator is elected while minister is appointed. Senator cannot be easily removed without going to court while minister can easily be sacked orally. A Senator has the mandate of the PEOPLE… A Minister has the mandate of ONE person.Reason Nigerians prefer the latter over the former… Is that it easier to STEAL as a Minister than as a Senator. > |

FreeStuffsNG: Call to duty is service to humanity. He should please serve o.
He should please ignore those who want to blackmail him to reject the offer to serve his fatherland.
There's a reason why the video is coming out now from the social media constituency of Shehu Sani and it's for political reason, not for patriotic or altruistic reasons. He should not fall for the blackmail.
He has learnt a lesson from this and next time will make such statements conditional like when Pastor Bakare prophesied that Pa Obj will die in office and later said God must have changed his mind after intercession. If God, the immortal invincible all-knowing can change His mind for a cause, HE El Rufai, a mortal who doesn't even know all can not be faulted after learning he was inaccurate when making that illustration based on his presumption about the future.

All those ailments you wrote up there has been with man since inception and will always be with man till they kingdom comes. It is only an utopia or heaven that those things don't exist. The only thing man can do is to mitigate them, nothing else. Why are you fixated on Peter Obi? What in any of my posts refers to Peter Obi?! Dude, you not only have incredibly LOW standards… But you’re suspiciously beginning to sound bigoted. When people were dying during Obi's tenure as governor, when there was killings of persons of northern extraction, can we say Obi was doing the slaughtering? Rubbish! The Kaduna issue, just like that of Benue has been on for ages. It did not start 8 years ago. According to your OBTUSE logic… Inflation, corruption, poverty, poor healthcare or electricity, etc., “has been on for ages” so we shouldn’t expect our leaders to resolve them.
