You spend N83 million on a feast, while millions of your state’s kids are out of school.

Even if they use that money for a Skill Acquisition Center or program, it would be more productive.

Why not take your grievances to the company you did business with. Did she make it public when she contacted them to design the interior of her house out? Do you think those who hire the services of life mate and other designers don't have complaints? In life, however things go, let us be empathetic even If we pay for things abeg. Where is our human side?Tender your grievances, yes,but i insist not on social media to commot food from the woman mouth. Wisdom is profitable to direct.
Did you even bother to read the list before commenting? shocked

She clearly stated that she tried to reach the woman so many times (even tried to reach her through her husband), but the woman was not picking up and even blocked her number (frankly, the effrontery of some Nigerians are despicably shocking). Even the woman herself in her social media “defense” provided the poor excuse of going on vacation (further emphasizing how clueless of customer service many Nigerians are). Obviously, if Toke had not resorted to social media, the woman would have simply continued to crassly ignore her.

Meanwhile, if the woman is in the habit of providing poor/substandard services or products, then she herself is “commoting food from other people’s mouths” (in fact some would suggest that she is “stealing” from her clients).

Why do we expose private business issues online? This Toke needs a man figure in her life to control some of her excesses. This is what happens when a woman fuccks for money, no real heart to heart connection to a man, to help douse her stress.

Now she thinks the furniture, clothes and make-belief online avatar is her real life. Does not occur to her that nobody really cares and are probably jealous and mocking her.

Zero emotional intelligence controls, irrespective of anger, one must understand that there is life after the anger. And that piece of furniture can be replaced if she follows up with patience and maturity. And the Interior Decorators these days are just clever thieves. I still wonder how people can not study interior decoration within a week and fix their homes.

Fake lives.

She clearly said that she took it to SM only after the sloppy service provider stopped picking her calls and blocked her - as if! And even after she had tried to reach the provider through third parties, with the sloppy provider’s own excuse in her response was that she was going on vacation and only intended get back to her when she returned (a vacation presumably financed by her clients). Who does that?!

The problem in Nigeria is that Customer Service is totally alien to most Nigerians (I used to think it was just to Nigerian businesses, but reading some of the comments on this episode I have come to realize that it is probably widespread among the general population itself), and accordingly many Nigerians raised on a “abegi, just manage like dat” culture think it normal for a provider of BESPOKE services/products to simply blow off a client (who btw had already paid a lot of money for the service/product).

Anyway, Nigeria is a country of real anyhowness. All you have to do is look around and notice the general sloppiness and the ingrained lack of maintenance culture to understand why many Nigerians fail to grasp why certain people will not tolerate shoddy workmanship/service.

If you are in the SERVICE business, you live and die on your customer SERVICE (emphasis added). in effect, no customer, no business.
There will indeed be customers who come smelling of sulphur, but the key running a successful SERVICE is the ability to please different kinds.

This is particularly the case when you are providing a supposedly high-end BESPOKE service, because the primary reason that clients will pay the PREMIUM prices that comes with bespoke services is that they expect a flawless excuse-free execution/provision of the paid-for services/product. Unfortunately, many Nigerian service providers (from artisans to professionals) have an "abegi manage am" culture.

"The customer is always right" and "the Customer is King/Queen" may sound like tired cliches, but it is the underlying sentiment and philosophy which lies at the core of every SUCCESSFUL service business. And often, the more successful the client, the more demanding.

Yes, cost follows events, but certainly not punitive cost.
The consequential orders made, can only be made if the cost had jurisdiction to so do.
You cannot decline jurisdiction on one breath and then assume jurisdiction to make consequential orders that can only be made is the substantive suit is considered on another breath.
That ultra vires the powers of the court. The court went over board and embarked on a speculative journey.
It is forbidden to approbate and reprobate. The law is trite in this regards

So when the party did not bring any evidence, does that not give the court the impetus and morality to declare that the plaintiff does not have any case but was just trying to rubbish an innocent person?

Or the court has to put a gun on his head to bring evidence??

The problem in Nigeria is simply because some people just think they are the only smart ones. People like you. That's why they drive rubbish on the roads, undercut the system through payment of bribe to get ahead of others on line, litter the environment instead of exercising patience till a waste bin is located, etc.

Someone accuses me of falsifying my age before the law court, and the case was given so much media attention, yet the person did not bring any evidence to back up such spurious and defaming claim, yet, a reasonable person is still saying the court should not delve into the substantive matter.

Are u not aware that the burden of proof lies with the person making an allegation??

If the person refuse to bring evidence, the court should still pamper him/the useless case in her ruling and therefore encourage such useless cases to clog the courts??
Once the court ruled on the preliminary issue of standing, the case ENDS there...

The introduction of any evidence would have been in the course of a hearing on the substantive merits, but without granting such a hearing by denying standing the court should never have then proceeded to rule on the merits. It's a truly bizarre decision!

You obviously mistake the term for events like the Iowa Caucus (which is akin to a primary but more limited to party members).

Nonetheless, unless you I have no interest in belittling people (which becomes ironic when it backfires like it just did on you), because I respect everyone (and have no interest in holding angst against anonymous folks on public forums) and have confidence in my own capacity to disagree with folks without disrespecting them, and to stick to FACTS without resort to ad hominen personal attacks or invective. Accordingly, just as there is the Congressional Black Caucus, the Democratic Congressional Caucus merely refers to the body of Democratic members of Congress.

In the US, the party chairman is basically the administrative head of the party, and has little or no political authority.

The Party rules in America. If Chairman of Democrat Party says Nancy will be Speaker....that's what it is, she is Speaker! Same goes for Ryan if Republican says he is their choice. Hence neither of them would need such a consultation trip. Gbajabiamila is smart for working around the opposition against his nomination. If you don't want such consultation then respect Party's choice, simple! grin grin
Who's the Chairman of the Democratic Party? Try and respond without Googling it... cheesy

Only in places like Nigeria is the party chairman treated as a high-ranking government or public official, attending all state functions with police guards, et. al. In the US (and such other advanced and enlightened democracies), the Congressional Caucus elects its own leaders, without any outside interference or direction (albeit of course substantial consideration and regard is usually, but not always, given to seniority). The Democratic National Headquarters has absolutely NO say in the process. Accordingly, following the most recent US congressional elections, it was members of the House themselves (i.e., the Democratic Congressional Caucus) that elected Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House.

Meanwhile, you did not answer how Mr. Gbajabiamila and his sponsors expect to recoup these MASSIVE campaign expenditures.

The judgement is in order. Speculative suits that malign someone's character aren't proper. From the judgment there was no singular proof to back the allegation. In criminal justice, it is the duty of the complaint to prove his case beyond reasonable doubt. It is not the CJN's duty to prove he never falsified his age.
But the court threw out the suit on a preliminary objection, without reaching the merits...
Without a substantive hearing on the merits, how do we know that the plaintiff had "no singular proof"?
