kennygee: They should start enforcing the rule in their church first.
A lot of young people go to certain churches cause they are allowed to wear what they like.
Judgement will start from the house of God, let us ensure the body of Christ is not brought to disrepute. I must confess my relative unfamiliarity with the Bible... But (at least from BK in school) do not recall people destined to heaven or hell based on fashion choices. Unfortunately, we Nigerians have become specialists in chasing shadows instead of substance... Anyone paying more attention to what people are wearing in church than to the sermon have REAL ISSUES! > |

BlueRayDick: Why would they sit in the bus and keep mute when the driver faced one-way, knowing fully well how heavy duty trucks ply that area?
Were they mad or something? Because I know who the gods want to kill they first make mad.
The way we so embrace lawlessness in this Country ehn, it's alarming.
Now see the end product You are wrongly presuming the passengers did not protest... And that if they did so, the drivers/conductors would heed their protest. The conundrum is that we Lagosians recognize Danfo for the madness they are... But many will nonetheless attack/criticize someone like Ambode when he proposed replacing them. > |

Business › Re: ‘Breasts On Lantern’: Agonies Of Borrowers Of Nigerian Micro-credit Loans by 9jaRealist: 6:00pm On Jun 06, 2019 |
Xtfield: Nothing wrong with borrowing to aid your business. I have done it several times and have been able to repay without any stress. The problem is not with the lender but with the borrower. In borrowing, I follow four simple rules: 1. Never borrow more than your current income can repay. If you read the post, you will see an akamu seller who borrowed 20000 naira. What for? 5000 would have been enough for such a business. Most people will borrow any amount once it is available. 2. Never divert loans to other uses. Use any loan for the purpose for which it is meant. I once borrowed a huge sum from LAPO for a project. I spent all the money within 24 hours on the project to prevent me from diverting any part of the loan on any other thing. The project was meant to enlarge my business and the swift completion of the project accomplished that purpose. In ten months, I was able to repay the loan in full. 3. Do not borrow for recurrent expenses such as payment of children School fees, hospital treatment, burial or naming ceremonies, payment of rent, purchase of pleasure cars or motorcycles, clothes etc. You must only borrow to finance an item that will generate funds. 4. Do not live an extravagant lifestyle. Discipline yourself to live below your means. This is one thing we always find difficult to do in this part of the world. When we make little money, we begin to live large, buying expensive and most times unnecessary things. To me, these four rules have been my guiding principles and I recommend them to anyone that wishes to take a loan from whatever source. Thank you! |

dayleke: Modern day slavery. Why are they still being allowed to be in business? How is it “modern day slavery”? While NOT supporting crude recovery methods, is it by force to borrow money? The issue with many Nigerians is... They either borrow with no realistic plan to repay or no intention to do so. There’s also a Culture of Entitlement... That seem to believe that loaning money is evidence the lender can afford to lose same. > |

AwkaetitiBabe: Puleeeaasse! We have smooth roads where drivers speed without accident.
What speed can u even engage in without meeting traffic in Lagos sef?
I feel the marine spirit from the ocean is at work ni or Lagos drivers dont go to driving school or the stress of living in Lagos catches up with them making them sleep off while driving.
I've experienced a driver sleeping while driving o, that shii ain't funny Abegi, enough with superstition... The reality is that many Nigerian drivers are semi-literate or even illiterate... Even the literate ones have to be properly taught how to drive when they relocate abroad. > |

BleedingPen: The Federal Government has revoked five oil mining licences (OML) and one oil prospecting licences (OPL) belonging to five companies, Igbere TV reports.
In a statement issued by the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) on Thursday, and obtained by Igbere TV, it said the revocation was based on a presidential directive to “recover legacy debts” owed by the companies operating the licences.
The five companies affected were listed as Pan Ocean Oil Corporation (OML 98); Allied Energy Resources Nigeria, (OML 120 and 121); Express Petroleum and Gas Company (OML 108); Cavendish Petroleum Nigeria (OML 110) and Summit Oil International (OPL 206).
http://igberetvnews.com/749909/breaking-fg-revokes-six-oil-licences-see-list/ Summit Oil is MKO Abiola’s oil company... Interesting timing a few days to June 12 (and I believe they operate OPL 205, not OPL 206). > |

Abeg comot that dustbin.. na animals full there! They are like crabs they rejoice at your downfall after singing your praises and eating your food .. Run and never look back Nigeria is cursed the people deserve all that befalls them there .. After you leave just come to nairaland and be commenting but laughing at them
When I see crisis and killings I just sip soda and chill then smile
Let them suffer for their ways . They are a terrible race of human beings called Nigerians
Do not ever waste your pity on them
Infact I pray buhari usurps power perpetually and rules for the next 80 years like Mugabe
By then hopefully Nigerians will be starving enough to be eating each other
Amen Bros, you can vent as vehemently as you want and run as far as you can... You still ALWAYS be Nigerian, and so would even your children’s children (regardless of where they are born)! > |

frankson1: Sir, have you read or heard where Amnesty international condemn or speak against attacks and killings carried out by boko haram and other dangerous militant groups? Amnesty international only scream when the Nigerian Security Forces try to defend unarmed civilians. Yes, Amnesty International regularly condemns Boko Haram’s attacks on the civilian population and its kidnap of women and children... Nevertheless, there a substantive difference since Boko Haram is NOT a government nor a state actor, and essence of Amnesty reports and recommendations is for the government or state actor (military, judiciary, legislature, MDA, paramilitary, etc.) to undertake corrective action consistent with the government’s legal obligations and supposed commitment to protect/promote human and civil rights, including Nigeria’s legal commitment as signatory to several international human rights treaties/agreements and as guaranteed by the NIGERIAN constitution. > |

So now that means Oshodi to ijaiye BRT project go wait be that o Ambode bought 820 of these new buses... Ceding this 35 buses to the Civil Service shouldn’t substantially affect the BRT. > |
