Half-seriously though (but only half), rape is having intercourse with someone without their consent. Thus, it could be argued that if someone consented to sex for a gift and you didn't give the gift, then technically she had not consented to what you did. Frankly, it's no different from creeping onto someone's bed at night pretending to be her husband/boyfriend when it turned out you were the husband's/boyfriend's brother.

In the video shared online, the woman, who was rescued by passersby who heard her screaming for help from the moving car, is seen with her arms tied behind her back while her child is seen crying in the passenger's seat.

The woman claimed her husband has used two of their kids for rituals and he was trying to do the same to her and their last child.

After an investigation by LIB as a result of the way her husband was beaten to a pulp, it was found out that the woman is a psychiatric patient.

Why would you keep going back to “try” something you professed not to like the first time? Are you a sadist?

Anyway, the more serious point is not to extrapolate or overgeneralize from one bad experience. There are many excellent (even WORLD-CLASS) Nigerian businesses and products, just as there are many subpar and poor ones. Depending on your price-point and/or options, my counsel would be to patronize the former and give a miss to the latter, but please quit the frankly mindless overgeneralization.

Meanwhile, if you are in need of good ice-cream in Lagos, both the Ice Cream Factory and Hans and Rene are excellent choices (as well as Cold Stone Creamery), and the local flavors of the latter (such as Agbalumo and Zobo) are heavenly. Cheers.

Money for the completion of most of these projects (including the Yaba and Oyingbo bus terminals, Pen Cinema Agege flyover, the 9 jetties, the chalets at Badagry, even the proposed Fagba flyover, etc.) are provided for in the 2019 Budget proposals that he presented to the House of Assembly (after they had initially refused to allow him to address the house and present same in December), but which the House only chose to pass last week (and which BOS immediately signed into law) - after threatening to IMPEACH Ambode if he spends any money! In fact, the ONLY reason the Oshodi Interchange project continued apace was that it is being executed under a Public-Private-Partnership arrangement (and therefore is largely reliant on PRIVATE financing).

Even right here on Nairaland (a veritable microcosm of supposedly “educated” Nigerians), tribal sentiment is pervasive and people defend Yahoo and all manner of criminality. Generally, the difference between much of the Nigerian leadership class and the general population is access to office and power. After all, many of Nigeria’s politicians were forming “activists” until they got into office. Bros, the raw reality is that Nigeria’s leadership class comes from the Nigerian population and largely REFLECTS the population (including its dominant values).
