Barbaric.....and humiliating for the young woman. Jungle/vigilante justice is not the best option. |
Mr Chamberlain Chiemela Ezeama please kindly pay the hospital bills for treatment given to your wife and save her (as well as your lovely daughter) further embarrassment. It was your choice to take her to India so I believe you must have been aware of the cost implication even before your wife boarded her flight from Nigeria. Besides I believe there are hospitals in Nigeria who could have handled your wife's case (with lesser expenses incurred on your part) but you chose not to think in that direction. Saying that the hospital has detained your wife and daughter is being "economical" with the truth as well as downright ungrateful. Please sir kindly do the needful or discuss with the hospital authorities in India on a possible resolution of the matter through other means. Your wife and daughter do not deserve this. #CutYourCoatAccordingToYourCloth |

First of all what tests have you done previously? What other symptoms do you have??.What is your age bracket and gender ![]() Second of all, you have given the impression that the symptoms you have complained about are becoming progressively worse. With that in mind, I would suggest you actually VISIT a doctor (who would also EXAMINE you after asking you some questions) instead of coming to seek for advice concerning YOUR HEALTH in a public forum such as this.......some of the "advice" that you would receive here may come from people who are not even medical personnel to start with. I know you may have consulted one or two people before but if the symptoms aren't regressing, try and see a specialist. Try the nearest state or federal teaching hospital or any other tertiary health facility close to you. Govt hospitals can be cumbersome when it comes to getting treatment but that's where you'll find the best hands/brains most times. Hope I was helpful? #Advice4rmARealDoctor PS: If you need any tips from me send me a PRIVATE message.......no charges applicable ![]() |
Seems like you and I are the only ones on this thread.....(says a lot about your content... Click your link and enjoy yourself. ******walks out****** |
......and then what happened. If you know you are not going to post the whole story here (or @ least a sizeable chunk of it) then don't bother creating the thread. |
This woman has been through a lot......her fortunes have changed over night and she is probably depressed. Hence the direction of her story. I will explain (medical personnel would have a better understanding of what I am about to say) 1. Kidney transplants are the treatment modality recommended for Chronic kidney disease and not usually recommended in Acute kidney injury (unless the AKI has gone on for so long to become chronic.....which is not the case in this instance, going by her story) 2. She has required repeated transfusions over the past few months. Anaemia is more common in CKD than in AKI This woman most likely had a background kidney problem which now manifested itself after the stress of her pregnancy/surgery. Besides she never disclosed to us the cause if her secondary infertility( ).Its a bitter pill to swallow. And I really do have sympathy for her. And like I said I understand the nature of some if her utterances. Depression and disappointment can cause that. But from the way I see her story, those guys @ LUTH may have saved her life. But only few on this thread will be able to comprehend that. |

smithe113:Smithe113 , take am easy. No need for harsh words. Btw you sound "medically inclined"..... ![]() Many would hasten to condemn LUTH without taking into cognisance 1. This woman's prior medical history/ risk factors she may have had which are related to her present clinical state 2. What other post-op complications, if any, which may have conttibuted to this 3. That the public seems to have come up with a verdict after listening to ONE side of the story. Like I said earlier finger pointing is not what we should be doing @ this present time. Anyone who wants to help can go to an ATM now and do that. This issue of using this thread to "bash" Nigerian doctors is ,@ best, a distraction. |

san316:Please lets not be cynical or too hasty to judge. From her (long) story this woman has developed ACUTE KIDNEY INJURY (AKI)......a common postoperative complication. Whether her doctors failed to recognize it on time is a different issue, but in all honesty such a clinical scenario can occur in any part of the world.......especially when the patient had "hidden" kidney issues that nobody knew about. From her story, she is bitter about how things have turned out.......l can understand why. But it MAY not be her doctors fault. I would advise her to continue with her intermittent hemodialysis and work on getting a kidney transplant ASAP. Meanwhile, what we ALL (family/friends/co-workers/nairalanders/good Samaritans) can do is to be supportive in whatever way we can. Finger pointing is not the best solution @ this present time. PS: for more knowledge on Acute kidney injury you can click the link below (.....its not a blog https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acute_kidney_injury |
Looks more like a form of artistic impression to me.......(with the organized arrangement and all that coupled with fact that the guy in the picture chooses to remain anonymous by covering his face with a book wrapped in Ghana-must-go jute of all things )#ArtRulz.... |
Qualer:Just in case you don't know (...... ......) there's this thing called anti-venom that is helpful in cases of envenoming from snake bites. Its even potent against poisonous bites from adders. Its readily available (eg Echitab-G and Echitab Plus anti venoms) but the problem is the cost.......one vial can cost N22,5000. And a bite victim can end up using God knows how many vials.#Speaking4rmExperience |
