Attached below is a post of Adeola Soetan, an OAU alumnus like Moyo Okediji, talking about the same problem just recently, as he has done many times in the past.

At various times, Wole Soyinka has said the same thing. Sophie Oluwole called such people a 'big fool' in one of her videos. I've posted her video here as well but I don't have time to start digging now.

But you're so delusional that you feel otherwise yet there's no proof. Most parts of the continent don't have a stable power supply, good roads, good hospitals, and other basic amenities you find in other parts of the world, yet the average African is highly intelligent to you.

Some people like fooling themselves by not facing reality.

In all of these, the man did not come off as an irritant who would call his own countrymen dull , ignorant , mumu and unintelligent simply because he’s had opportunity to live in America for years . And I don't even see the need to post any here when even in some of his posts I've shared here before, the prof discussed the low intelligence of people condemning their culture and traditions.

Another contemporary of the prof, Adeola Soetan, made a similar post on his page talking about the same thing just last week as he's done numerous times in the past.

But you can keep living in the delusion that Africa has intelligent people in high numbers, yet everywhere around reeks of underdevelopment and poverty.

Some people are simply daft. How can you lay claim to intelligence when you don't even know who your ancestors and forebears are, when your continent is backward and underdeveloped?

What's the proof of the high intelligence of the average African? There's none.

When people say the average Africans have a relatively low IQ, they're not being racist or insulting, it's just a glaring fact backed by a solid body of evidence and tons of data.

But let's leave key issues like this alone and be hating on people urging others to embrace philosophy, critical thinking, and science, which form the bedrock of civilization.

And before you know it now, they'll start blaming the West, colonialization, slavery even in the 21st century without looking inward.

You check your environment and see underdevelopment and poverty everywhere, which are key signs most people in that environment are unintelligent, but it's people telling you the glaring fact you're hating.

If you've a place where the majority hate philosophy, critical thinking, and science, such a place will be backward and underdeveloped like this continent.

And when you call them around to discuss issues about these three key subjects which form the foundation of any nation that achieves greatness, the mumu people will start saying nonsense, such as "he has come with his lengthy discussions again", "these topics don't fetch quick money", and other balderdash.

You want your country to grow, but you detest Otem. Lols, some people are hopelessly stupid.

People like Otem are a gift to societies. If your forefathers favor you and send you a person like Otem, they're preparing your country for growth and a world power status if many people listen to his messages.

But only highly intelligent Africans know the key role a highly knowledgeable philosopher and historian such as Otem plays in the evolution of society.

I'm talking about various technologies here and knowledge of high-level codes that past African scientists used to design technologies that seem like juju and magical feats to modern humans.

If it's another race with more intelligent people that got a guy like Otem as a gift from their forebears, they'd have tapped into his vast knowledge and developed new fields of science and laid the foundations to build various advanced technologies.

And it seems the guy has even left finally now.

It's just a pity most Africans are really dull people.

I just perused the Facebook page of Moyo Okediji and I was surprised he wasn’t calling his fellow Africans dull and ignorant . The professor writes thought-provoking posts to awaken a consciousness in his target audience instead of denigrating them and calling them unprintable names .

Instead he writes like great academics do; with the intention of making his audience read , learn ask questions and develop interest in knowing about their history and culture ( Just like Wole Soyinka does )

You should not just post what he writes , you should learn to give his method a trial too. Take a cue from him and stop calling those who don’t yet agree with ur views names .

That prof is even one of the various highly eminent Isese practitioners to describe the foolishness of the typical African.

One of his fellow people in art, the late professor of philosophy, Sophie Oluwole gave a series of lectures about the low IQ of the average African that condemns his native culture and traditions while promoting and hyping foreign ones.

I can't find the video now. Even Wole Soyinka too has discussed this same issue before.

If you demonize your ancestors and forefathers while promoting foreign ones, sane people call such mumu dull. That's a classic sign of low intelligence.

You're merely reacting emotionally to key issues, like the typical African. The typical African despises the truth. Most prefer the comforting lies.

Let's blame the West.

Most parts of Africa are underdeveloped: bad roads, poor power supply, and many other poor basic amenities. Those are glaring signs of a continent with dull people as the majority.

Then, the mumu people will start blaming colonial masters, slavery, blah, blah, blah in the 21st century, but before you know it, they'll soon pray to Jehovah or Allah, who are the gods of their colonial and slave masters from Europe and Arabia.

Lols, but they want to develop and grow. People that aren't even intelligent enough to know who their ancestors and forefathers are.

If they're intelligent enough to know who their ancestors and forebears are, at least, they'll know no people can grow without being connected to their roots.

I got a pleasant surprise two days ago.

Prof Moyo Okediji is one of the highly intelligent Yoruba people promoting Isese and making the Yoruba culture attractive to others in the US.

The gifted artist has a Facebook page with over 100,000 followers teaching people the wisdom of our forefathers, Ifa and Orunmila.

People like professors Moyo Okediji and Wole Soyinka are prime examples showing an African can achieve greatness in life by drawing inspiration from elements of the native culture and traditions.

THE GIFT THAT KEEPS GIVING

I got a pleasant surprise two days ago.

A Hollywood film company called and said they wanted to feature a painting I did in 1994 in their forthcoming movie.

They wanted to license the painting for the movie.

I didn’t understand what that meant. “What do you mean you’d like to license the painting for the movie?”

“We will pay you to hold a right to use the image of the painting for the movie, publicity, games, and so on,” they explained.

“You know I already sold the painting to a museum?” I said.

“Yes,” they said. “We don’t need the painting itself. We just want the reproduction of the painting. You own the copyright to the reproduction.”

I recalled the painting.

It was my first sale in the US. Well, it’s true I sold a couple of paintings earlier, but they were all sold cheap to friends who wanted to buy the paintings at moments when I was broke in a strange land called America.

But that painting was one that a museum wanted to buy.

When the curator of the museum called me, and said they wanted to buy that painting in 2002, I was overjoyed.

“How much do you want for the painting?” the curator of the museum that wanted the painting asked.

I didn’t hesitate. I said, “Five thousand dollars.”

She was quiet. Did I asked for too much, I was thinking. I decided I would be open to negotiating. I was going to say that when she broke the silence.

“Come on, Moyo,” she said, “that’s too low. We can pay you four or five times that amount for your painting.”

When I went to the university to study art, nobody even told me you could sell a work of art.

I had decided since I was a child that I would be a teacher, and that was the way I would make a living.

I was just too happy when a friend said, “I like your painting. May I have it?”
They simply got them for free.

Decades later, some of my friends confessed they took paintings from me free at Ile Ife, and transported them to Lagos and sold the paintings to collectors.

(It’s funny, isn’t it, that they flung this Yoruba adage at me: “O résẹ̀ ẹ wèrè o ò bù ú ṣoògùn….” Some of them are reading this story, and giggling. Nevertheless, “Adáni lóró, agbára ló fi kọ́ ni”).

I digress.

It was with that mindset of producing but not marketing that I went to the United States.

I always painted, not because I intended to sell them, but because I hated hanging out at parties, clubs, concerts—and with all the excess time at my disposal, I had to do something to kill time.

So, I painted—I paint—because it fills up my time.

It makes me happy to paint, to write, to read good stuff that others write.

If I had a free moment, I wouldn’t go to a club to drink a beer; I always go to the studio to do some painting.

I don’t care if James Brown and Lady Gaga are performing free in the next house. I’m not interested.

I would get a record of their songs, plug them in my earphones, serenade myself in my studio, and paint.

Women? They have to chase me, otherwise, I'm unavailable.

The time it takes to woo a woman is enough to complete a huge work of art.

That has always been the way I live.

Now, people are seeking my work to buy, and it still amazes me.

It is interesting that my former students are now making tons of money from their works. Some of them send their collectors to me to buy my work.

Back to the Hollywood license. They emailed me a contract and I signed it.

The particular painting that the Hollywood firm just licensed for their production took me an entire week to complete—working 18 hours a day—in the summer of 1994.

It was a particularly hot summer in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1994, and I was holed up in a cheap and tiny one-bedroom apartment with an air conditioner that made more noise than cool air.

In that stuffy room, I stretched my canvas and painted night and day to take my mind off the unbearable heat.

It worked. The painting took my mind off the heat—and over the years, has made me a dollar or two.

More than anything else, it showed me that one could live a comfortable life as an artist, if that was what one wanted to do.

It's just one of those gifts that keep giving.

I sure am happy that I didn’t listen to those who told me “Why would anyone study art at the university! You should be a doctor, engineer, lawyer, accountant, or study some other professional trade. It’s better to not go to school than to go to a university to study how to draw!”

I am grateful that I had parents who allowed me to study whatever I wanted to study.

Science and technology didn't start in modern times. Ancient Africa was even more technologically advanced than the modern era.

African science and technology of the past era were so advanced that they're seen as voodoo, magic in modern times.

Indeed, Arthur C. Clarke was right when he said: “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic”.

The attached picture shows an interesting summary of the history of Egypt. Over hundreds of years, the black civilization of ancient Egypt suffered lots of invasion from the Greeks, Romans, Arabs, and others before the Arabs finally turned the former world power in Africa to theirs.

This is the plan of the Arabs for the whole of Africa: to capture the whole continent and turn it to theirs like they did with ancient Egypt, and Islam is their weapon for this agenda.

If all these religions are idolatry which one then is not?

Na you dey bother yourself. All gods worshipped in human history are deities or idols. All of them. No single exception.

So, any religion based on the worship of any god of religion or any deity is idolatry in nature.

All Abrahamic religions, ATR, Zoroasrianism, and many others are idolatry in nature because they were established based on one form of sacrifice (ebo in Yoruba) or the other.

Once your religion has the concept of ebo or sacrifice at its core, that's idolatry staring right at your face. Only ignorant people don't know this simple fact.

Once your religion has a sacred or holy place used to worship its deity, called shrine in English, and its adherents engage in certain rituals involving ebo, you're doing idolatry.

For ATR, the various oju ibo of their deities around are their own shrines.

For the Muslims, the various mosques around are the shrines of Allah.

For the Christians, the various churches around are the shrines of Yahweh.

Na person wey no understand English no know say a mosque is a shrine, just like a church is.

Even if one doesn't understand the meaning of an English word, the dictionary is there to help.

When you go to Makkah for hajj and do tawaf, the act of circumambulating the Kaaba, the major shrine of your god, it was the Arab pagans that originated tawaf.

In fact, the more you research the older religions of pagans, the more you realize those that established your religion merely copied and repackaged the religious beliefs and practices of older religions of pagans.

But the Arabs are just wiser than most Africans by packaging their own idolatry practices as Islam and selling it to mumu people in Africa, who abandoned their own native idolatry practices for those of the Arabs because of the relatively lower IQ of most Africans compared with the Arabs.

African Muslims and Christians abandoned their own forefathers and are promoting and worshipping the forefathers of other people and helping them to develop their own country.

Before you counter my posts here, you should first ask yourself the following:

1. Do you know the difference between Allah and Ohmorihi, your native god?
2. Do you know the history of your native culture?
3. How well do you know your native culture and traditions?
4. Do you know the origin of your mother tongue, Ebira language, or Yoruba language, for the Yoruba-speaking Kogi people?

If you don't know any of this, then you don't have the required knowledge to counter or appraise most of my posts.

Those are subjects I researched for years.

The Yorubas often say "ohun gbogbo lowo ori lowa", meaning "everything a person becomes in life is a function of their head".

The head houses the brain, which is the seat of intelligence, so that maxim carries a deep meaning: A person's level of intelligence has a supreme role to play in their achievements in life.

That quote shows the central role of intelligence in a person's life, according to Yoruba philosophy.

This is why philosophers and thinkers put a lot of emphasis on it.

Unless you know people in high places in Nigeria, a young person should recognize the great importance that intelligence and good use of the brain play in life to become successful.

All these languages were developed by some past humans. They didn't just emerge from thin air.

It seems you don't know it was Allah that molded some of the first humans in that area and developed many parts of the Middle East, including Arabia.

Allah is the pillar of support of the Arabs, and without him, the people are very weak and very vulnerable.

Without a pillar of support in their ancestor, a people can be easily conquered and enslaved.

Africa, today, is under Europe and Arabia as slaves because they lacked key pillars of support in the past.

And it's only when Africans go back to their roots and stop demonizing the pagan gods that they'll stop serving as slaves to their fellow humans.

The right thing for an African to do is to promote and support his ancestor and forefathers over those of the Arabs or Israelites, if not such a person will spend his whole life in slavery and continue his next cycle of existence also in the same state unless he grows in intelligence and corrects his ways.

But one shouldn't worship any god or deity because all these gods of religion, including Olorun, Allah, Yahweh, and many others were all past humans.

All these festivals should even be reformed and limited to just a few times in a year. Why don't they even combine all of them into about two or three major festivals in a year?

I'd urge the Isese people and other native groups to engage in the local festivals mainly as a form of remembrance of the past people, the ancestors and forefathers, instead of as a form of worship or devotion.

Worshipping a deity and offering sacrifices to them inhibit the growth and development of a people and limit the development of science and technology.

When will all these priests of ATR (babalawos and co) start telling people the truth that all the deities of Yorubaland and other parts of Africa are past humans, who were gifted people of the past and ancestors and forefathers of Africans?

They know the truth but hide it from the public.

Olorun, Atum, Chukwu, Oghene, Egungun, and many others were all past humans.

God or deity is a man-made concept.

The aspects of the African cultures and traditions about worshipping and making sacrifices to a deity are condemnable, which every right-thinking should clamor for their abolishment.

These elements of the local cultures are a bane to the development of science and technology in Africa and make the continent as a whole backward.

While promoting the good aspects of the cultures, one shouldn't lose sight of the bad aspects.

Some people are what Yorubas call oponu afonu fora (imbes). I said people should support and promote their native cultures and traditions and engage in the local festivals.

Does that automatically mean you should be "carrying" egun masquerade when a person is supposed to be at work?

The question you should first yourself is, "Do I support Isese by donning the egun attire?"

How does doing so 7 days in a week at a period when you're supposed to be at work help develop science and technology in Yoruba?

If you think egun is all what Isese is all about, then your mumuness na follow come.

Many Africans in diaspora even support their local culture and traditions even without having to come home.

The recently organized science competition by the platform, Science in Yoruba, was organized and sponsored by certain Yoruba people, who aren't even in Nigeria.

That's one way of supporting Isese, the local culture and traditions.

It's not it's until you travel home to "carry egun" (masquerade) for 7 days that we know you support Isese, when the past Yoruba man, an orisa (deity) called Egungun, may not even be the deity worshipped traditionally in your family.

Every house/family in Yorubaland has a deity, an orisha, their forebears used to worship before the advent of Christianity and Islam. The same thing applies to the Igboland, Ijaw areas, North, etc.

Some people are really daft.

It's to prevent happenings like this that freethinkers like Otem and I have been emphasizing that people should shift their focus away from worshipping a deity or god to philosophy, critical thinking, science and technology.

It can actually be annoying when you research into the native history of the Yorubas and learn that the principles of nature underlying the technology Oyinbo people used to build Google is right in our backyard.

Computer programming is ancient knowledge in African science and technology.

It's a fact.

But the approach of a typical African to anything mysterious is the major issue. Most Africans approach issues superstitiously and supernaturally/spiritually, this attitude is very problematic.

I made mention of instances of telekinesis in ancient Africa yesterday, and some people thought I was saying nonsense.

But there are even many other past technologies as well that appear magical.

Let me give another example: in tales and fables around, we used to hear about some past Africans disappearing, what's called teleportation in modern times.

Such stories are cases of teleportation in ancient Africa, and such isn't even limited to ancient Africa.

Inspired by such tales and fables, some scientists are making key advances on quantum teleportation and developing invisibility cloak.

Yet, the past Africans didn't even need to use such a cloak to hide in the segments of the EM spectrum which the normal person can't see.

It's high level knowledge of codes.

And some geniuses will discover this knowledge in the future. However, it'd be great if such can come Africa.

Those that had such knowledge in the past lived right in our back yard. If we know their history and try to view reality the way they did while on Earth, in some of those stories are certain principles of nature unknown to modern scientists, which we can combine with modern science and make key advances in science and technology.
