Joshua probably has a rematch clause but if he doesnt, i swear hes never going to even sniff those belts again. Ruiz, just like Wilder is managed and promoted by PBC. Though i guess even they would prefer Joshua to get the belts back for the money fight but i cant help but think Al Haymon is somewhere smiling right now.
Lool Eddie Hearn is not a bozo. There would be a rematch there somewhere

LMAO I swear maybe its what you get before every fight but i may have seen this coming. I saw Ruiz hit the pads and thought to myself this guy can bang and he can move, almost came here to @ you that hes not a complete mug. But damn! Flex Mentallo probably has a rematch clause so we'll see how that goes. Credit to the fat man, first mexican heavyweight champ EVER! Over the last few days i've been impressed with how humble flex was, wasnt looking past Ruiz so i wont mock him. Those deluded brainless british boxing fans on the other hand... cheesy
How stupid must Jarrell Miller be feeling now like so I could have beaten this dude without juicing.

I recall you mocking this ninja when the fight was announced. If only you knew

His hand speed is insane for a heavy and he kept moving forward. Showed zero fear like Mexicans usually do. I think he had the first two rounds even before everything went belly up in the third.

I don't think AJ did it outwardly but on the inside it kind of felt he underrated Ruiz..

A rematch clause for the reigning champ is a no-brainer but AJ needs a lot of work. Really showed he couldn't take a hit and looked gassed by the 3rd/4th

I watched the Povetkin fight this morning.
He started sluggishly and then got better. He also started sluggishly in this one too, and I would agree with you he lost the 1st 2 rounds too.

However starting sluggishly and losing rounds 1 and 2 have to do with sharpness and not cardio.
Why would you get exhausted in Rd 1?

He was sluggish because his brain was muddled up. Lol
Ruiz reset his brain stem.
I get what you mean. I'm saying his cardio gave him zero chance to get back into the fight. If you put a guy down by the 3rd round and rather than being able to go for the kill you end up being put down yourself then it still boils down to your stamina

Whether your chin is made from Adamantium if you've started breathing by your mouth by Round 4 what are your odds of escaping more punishment. The referee could have allowed the fight continue after those Round 7 knockdowns but at what cost?

By that point it was a matter of when not if Ruiz would win

Very disappointing. He obviously underestimated Ruiz, and of course he paid the iron price.
That would be unfortunate. One recurring theme about Ruiz was his hand speed and I saw it tonight. His punching power I won't say is exceptional but he moves forward and is a very fast puncher for a Heavyweight

We will have to agree to disagree. You think it was more cardio it seems, and I think it was more chin.

If it was round 8 or beyond maybe one can say more of cardio, not 1st 4 rounds after scoring a knockdown yourself.
A glass jaw is what it is.
Go and watch the Povetkin fight again. I'm telling you what I observed from his previous fight as well. He was slow and lethargic and in this fight too he lacked the sharpness to even get at Ruiz after knocking him down.

It speaks to how sluggish he was that he could not evade Ruiz and was essentially a sitting duck the final 4 rounds. It was watching a car crash in slow motion. Bear in mind he lost the first two rounds if you ask me

I haven't said AJ didn't have a glass chin so I'm not arguing that

Fair point. The guy has been exposed. No chin, no stamina and he is fighting amongst giants.

The only way out for him is to work on his defence and learn how to avoid flush hits, cos he can’t face Wilder with that glass jaw.
Naah make e no near Wilder at this point. E go die

He had enough cardio to knock Ruiz down and go for the kill himself. It was after Ruiz knocked him down that he started wobbling all over the place like Osuofia in a 1990s Nollywood movie.
Oga that's not the point. This is Heavyweight level and everybody gets hit! I've seen AJ deal with worse hits. My point is he looked gassed even before the hit. His rubbish cardio was why he couldn't get past being hit and had zero chance of getting into the fight
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by A40(m): 4:27am On Jun 02, 2019

You obviously didn’t read what I typed.

We all know he has suspect cardio. That he has poor stamina is not news.

But what does suspect cardio have to do with wobbling in round 4, 5 after getting hit. It was all about his chin.
Mind you Round 1-3 they were mainly hugging and exchanging few jabs.

Joshua can’t take a punch. His chin did him in, not his stamina.
I agreed his chin was suspect hell I even called him Sagamu Frank Bruno but I said his cardio also played a role.

He could barely move around the ring after the first hit. If it was only his chin that was the issue he wouldn't get up that many times. My point is his bad cardio meant he couldn't defend himself he couldn't hit Ruiz nor could he get out of the way.

Cardio can’t be suspect in Round 4 of a slow paced match. Was he training on burgers?

We all know AJ has suspect cardio but this was all about a very suspect chin.

And like I always said Wilder has more knockout power. That one should not be an argument again.
Lool guy AJ has a suspect cardio. It's not this fight e start. He got away with it in the Povetkin fight and the Klitschko fight but credit to Ruiz he stayed on his asssss like a rash

When you start breathing via your mouth by round 3 you will definitely not be coordinated to absorb blows and get your legs under you

I told you guys then that AJ does not have Wilder’s single punch power.
And now we can finally confirm that AJ has a suspect chin.
It's not even punch power. What AJ lacks is stamina and the chin. He actually caught Ruiz that first time but got his angles horribly wrong.

AJ is capable of hitting much harder than this. His cardio is suspect. By the 3rd he was already breathing via his mouth

Once he makes his mind up to leave, Chelsea can't do much so long as Juve can buy him out.

Think on it. For a manager of his age with empty trophy cabinet, he would me mad not to take Juve job where he can almost guarantee 3 Scudettos in the next 3 years and a chance at UCL with Ronaldo in his team. . . juxtaposed against staying at Chelsea where he has no hope of league title vs City or Liverpool. . . not to mention losing his best player Hazard. . . talkless of transfer ban which means he can't improve his team. . . On top that, he's guaranteed the sack within the next 12 months at Chelsea.

He'll be mad not to go to Juve. After making his name at Juve, in 5 years time he'll be 65 which is prime age to slip into Italy National team job, but first he must establish his name as a winner to get that job, and Juve will give that to him.
If I'm Sarri I would remove money from my pocket to leave Chelsea

At this rate probably, we were expecting the bench to show up, as they did against Houston and Portland. Stephen Curry might have to get 50+ a night to be able to do this alone.Klay, where art thou explosion?. I sincerely hope they don't rush Kevin in before his injury gets worse. I assume they have now had 9 days of rest and 1 day of real practise, time to get to work.
The bench rarely show up in road games so expecting the likes of Cook, Jerebko and Mckinnie to ball is a bit unrealistic.

This team has two guys above 6'6 that can create their own shots and defend at an elite level so erase Portland and Houston from the equation, bear in mind even Portland blew 3 double digit leads and should probably not have been swept if Dame and CJ didn't shrivel

The Warriors can steal Game 2 but unless KD is back or Kawhi's health is worse off its hard to see it
