Johnpaul88: No one knows about this handball claims except perhaps Bayern fans.
Bartra and Sanchez blatantly handled the ball in the box! Same incident happened to us against Real the season before last and Alaba was not as culpable as Bartra and Sanchez as his handball was unintentional yet Real got a penalty and Alaba was booked!

Anyway two can play that game no one knows about the phantom foul on Alba either apart from Barca fans

Johnpaul88: Ovrebo controversially sent off Abidal in the 53rd mins or so when he deemed that abidal brought down Anelka that was bearing down on goal but in truth Anelka clipped his own legs. The ref noticed his mistake and he ignored all penalty claims so as to atone for the error. If he wanted Barca to win i don't think the best way he could have achieved that is by sending away Barca player that early in 2nd half. I dont know why people conviniently ignores this fact.
He made one mistake then corrected his error by making four more? Loool ok!

Johnpaul88: For the 2nd leg against Madrid, Ronaldo claimed to have been fouled by Pique but proceeded to haul down Mascherano who was in good position to clear the ball, giving Higuain chance to score. It was therefore not difficult for the ref to notice the cheating by Ronaldo and he blew against him before Higuain foolishly scored.
How about Pepe's dubious red card? Anyway did he haul down Mascherano or was fouled by Pique and then fell on Mascherano? It was a legit goal either way you look at it. Thank God Viktor Kasai applied common sense at the Allianz! Refs can't help you everytime bruh

chamotex: I think it's better to create a separate league just to make things easier and straight forward.
It won't be associated with the Nairaland name because of oga Seun...we'll have a separate name for the league.

So far we have the following people on board at £50 each:

Dare2think
Chamotex
Ritchboy
A-40
Vieira
Chrisbenogor
I don give you name already! Eni ti o ra ankara o le je semo Fantasy League

Stole it from Vettel at the death! Tomorrow should be really interesting as I fancy Vettel making a move early its also pretty hot so tire management might be crucial (everyone starts on softs)

1) Lewis Hamilton
2) Sebastian Vettel
3) Romain Grosjean
4) Nico Rosberg
5) Fernando Alonso
6) Kimi Raikonnen
7) Felipe Massa

The Mercs look really fast as they always do in qualifying meanwhile Grosjean seems to be outperforming Kimi

logica: What ever. But have you ever seen anything as shameful as the game between Dortmund and Malaga where 2 clear offside positions were ignored within a single play? Or the consistency in allowing blatantly offiside goals against Barca (against PSG and Bayern Munchen for instance)? This is 2013 and it appears as if football officiating is in a retrogressive state.
Bayern were denied two blatant hand-balls by Barca players in that same game!

Then there's Ovrebo-gate

Madrid vs Barca 2011 UCL semis 2nd leg when a perfectly good goal that could have turned the game on its head by Madrid was chalked off!

If you are going to point out flaws also point out the ones that went your way so you look objective and not look like a whiner! Later you go dey call Mourinho Moanrinho! How are you different from him?

Lordave: I think he is trying to let the younger boiz compete for the central and attacking midfield position.
And at the same time telling Gustavo that he's no more needed.
Bros Gustavo is needed oh! Even he has come out to say he is going to fight for his place and see out his contract plus there would be injuries, suspensions, fatigue and loss of form! We need everybody on that team if we are going to be successful this season. Guys like Can and Hojbjerg should be sent on loan as they are a tad too young to get into Bayern's starting XI

The Bulls been the quickest thus far in practice with Vettel and Webber doing a one-two. Alonso and Massa have also been quick either way it seems everyone is going on the soft tires for qualifying which makes it important to get very good track position as Hungaroring isn't exactly an overtake-friendly track

Franck Ribery and Manuel Neuer set to miss the Supercup.

Shebi later they would ask why we signed Thiago and Gotze?

www.goal.com/en-gb/news/3275/bundesliga/2013/07/25/4142324/schweinsteiger-targets-no6-role-at-bayern

Apparently Schweini wants to play as holding midfielder. Don't know if that's a good move as that would make him prone to bookings and all plus Martinez's physicality and power in that position really helped us last season! Maybe against lesser opponents tho
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fantasy Premier League Betting? by A40(m): 7:52pm On Jul 26, 2013
feasy1: I suggest we stick to the general Nairaland Premier league, to allow everyone to participate and let guys donate 50-100 GBP into the pool.
The prize money can be shared according to the ratio Ibime suggested.
Ibime: This would limit the game to those who can afford/want to bet.

My suggestion is that a group of players by mutual agreement each put £100 into a pot, then the top 3 (from those group of players) split the prize money by ratio 60:30:10.

This way we still have a league open to all and sundry, but also stakeholders within that league have an extra caveat.

I suggest myself or Dayokanu to hold the money, as the total sum (estimated £2k - £3k) may be too tempting for Chamotex. cheesy
Loool naah this na separate league entirely not the general NL league this is strictly for those that want to put money where their mouth is. It can run concurrently with the general league

logica: So Robben being ahead of Alba and Alba being 2 steps away chasing Robben is blocked off and it is not a foul? Dd you ever play football sir? grin Right, controversial calls SOMETIMES favor Barca but you can disregard the BLATANT calls. Anyway I don talk myyone; The Champions League has become a farce and is no longer like the competition of the 90s. It is now VERY political. I won't bother myself with it anymore.
Oo n pe! You need to learn to lose with grace and stop the bloodclot crying! Alba was behind Robben! Who stops a clear goal scoring chance because a player behind was supposedly "fouled"? you are still not talking about the blatant penalties that were denied to us in the first half

The Champions League is now a farce because Barca aren't winning it ba? Its not late you could still petition Platini to bar Barca from participating in the farce

elampiro: Teams with the most CL wins:
1. Manchester United - 102
2. Real Madrid - 102
3. Barcelona - 101
4. Bayern Munich - 84
5. AC Milan - 71

.........

I saw that stuff somewhere, is that the true stat?

If true we should be having more of this trophy, although referees have 'punished' us three times in the last few years. Scholes goal disallowed against Porto, Raphael sent off against Bayern and Nani sent off against Madrid. With more quality players we can rule Europe.

They should bring out this money and buy Fab and Bale or some other guys.
Why not include Giggs and his phantom freekick against Lille? Even if Scholes goal was disallowed Porto still had to score! Red cards do not guarantee passage to the next round cos last I checked red card does not equate to a goal! All 3 matches you referenced to were at home you guys could have done better

afrodoc: if they were so sure of who their target was they should have gone for fabregas earlier(before thiago left for bayern)
it would be foolish of barca to let BOTH thiago and fabregas go in the same transfer window,i really don't see it happening.
+1

Thiago was the cheaper option with more upside! Its quite baffling how sluggish Utd has been in this transfer window Moyes keeps whining that he just got to Utd but I think 3 weeks is more than enough to get somebody when full court press is applied

Ogbeche77: heard he had to be smuggled out in the trunk from united training camp, when the bailiff came calling
Ahh so he has court yawa? Smh

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fantasy Premier League Betting? by A40(m):
I'm with it! Anything between 20-50 quid I.e 5grand to 12.5 grand is ok by me it all boils down to how many people are on board with the idea. We can always decide who wins what when we know how many people dey ground but I suggest 2 options:

Best manager of the month gets a token but winner takes all (bearing in mind there are 8 or 9 months)

No manager gets monthly tokens but the top 3 ninjas get prize money at the end of the season

I think this pretty simple and straight forward there's a little over 3 weeks till season go start so there is ample time to deliberate and decide

logica: *wink* *wink* I could almost swear I saw the ref turn his back at the very moment Muller blocked off (body checked) Jodi Alba for the "3rd goal" (and in case you are not aware, this is a blatant foul in the game of football and no referee CAN EVER miss it). Disgraceful. I already decided I won't bother watching the Champions League this season. The only difference between it and the scandal in Nigeria was the huge scoreline.
Easy with the winks bruh don't take it the wrong way abi sand dey your eye?

Lol I can't believe you brought up the 3rd goal when Robben was clearly ahead of Alba! What on earth would the ref blow a foul for an off the ball incident for when a goal was about to be scored? Let's even assume you have an argument how about the two blatant hand-balls the ref chose to overlook? Abeg talk another thing

Barca fan cannot even tell me about ojoro when the RVP dubious red card incident and Ovrebogate comes to mind

logica: On Messi, it was all Guardiola's making. He built a strong team and he immediately started destroying the team. He is a young manager and hopefully has learnt his lessons. But he left a broken team that was not even as strong as when he took over from Rijkaard when he exited Barca.
I don't think it was Guardiola's making for the most part I think your sporting director and Rosell share some of the blame as well for making sentimental and plain awful buys. Pep was always going to struggle to reach that bar he set so high in his spell at Barca
He left behind a good team but your top brass seem to prefer to chase pipe dream signings when the market is filled with cheaper options! Chasing 19 year old Marquinhos and 29 year old Thiago Silva smacks of unseriousness when options yapa

logica: He strained his hamstring muscle in the first half taking a shot and there was doubt he would even play the second half. He did stay on but he was pretty much done.

Anyway, once again Josef Heynckes had to retire on a high; he had to get it any which way (with a little help here n there *wink* *wink*). You guys have Guardiola right now unfortunately. Otherwise it would not have been so complicated to put you in your place.

Oh by the way, that must be the video that got deluded Bayern fans talking about Ribery being better than Messi. In their dreams that is.
Jowo help from who? Anyway over-reliance on Messi has been Barca's bane for a while now una no get that fear factor again as all man don know say once you mark out Messi Barca is pretty much done

kashmo: Finally, goons with some iota of sense! There you should be a relegation style format to help weed out underperforming Managers/teams. In all fairness, the top thirty from the main league deserves a shot at it too grin This should help curb the padi padi format we've been subjected to cheesy

P.S. How did ninjas like Debosky and Mykali get into the FA Cup?

There should've been a protocol established since last season instead of all this padi padi cheesy

Top Ten[at least] in the main league should always be guaranteed a place along with the trophy winners.
You do make a point! That FA cup should be for competitive players not ninjas that would choose a team and leave it on auto-pilot. I think guys like azpekuliar have earned their stripes already

Turns out Juve made more money in the UCL than Champions Bayern due to Italy providing only two representatives last season which meant more TV money to share

dayokanu: Our boys rhythm got disrupted in the second half.

I think our offensive pressure has increased atimes Barca had problems getting the ball out of their half and even box.

Also I noticed Starke doesnt kick out the ball rather they play it out from the back. I guess thats one of Peps input

Atimes it looks so risky I guess as time goes they would get the pattern better
Lool it was risky! Starke almost got cornered on one occasion

Contento looked very good going forward I hope he gets decent playing time this season. Man of the match for me was between Shaqiri and Ribery! Shaq was electric at times and if that boy can fine tune his decision making Ribery might be in real trouble

Can't wait for Saturday when we visit the Signal Iduna! Another test to see just how well Pep's philosophy would work against our rivals Dortmund

montelik: I certainly don't or didn't expect him to walk into the side, but after 2 seasons he has barely made any in roads to starting on even a regular basis. yet we should spend 35+m after Barca spent 29m to get him.

remember we still have financial constraints on us, in the form of debts and accompanying interest. we aren't bayern (cash rich & debt free) or madrid (who can use political influence to get a tax write off or refund).
Fabregas did make a lot of starts for Barca last season. About 30 in the league alone methinks Barca are only trying to cash out as much as they can in this crazy over inflated transfer world we are in. The key is is he an upgrade on what you have at the moment? The answer is Yes so y'all might as well go all out for him

When teams start paying over 40 million pounds for Hulk you should know we are in the last days grin grin

Illaramendi a DM with less than two seasons of experience was bought for 38 million euros as well
