Mod412: There's a big difference tho, we bought Walcott when Southampton was still in League 2, and Arterta from Everton, do you consider them our rivals?

Stuggart won the bundesliga with Gomez as top scorer, guess what - he was sold to bayern. Neuer became the best Goalkeeper in Germany, guess what - he was sold to bayern, Ballack from Leverkusen, Klose from Werder Bremen, Goetze, the list goes on and on.
We do these teams favors by grossly overpaying for them! Look at how much we paid for Gomez and Neuer and ask yourself if they were worth that much at the time

Mod412: Bayern are in a league of their own, i even pointed to the fact that they didn't build the allianz arena with their own money, teh got assistance from the Government - Guy wake up from this sleep nah, you're comparing apples with oranges.
Even after being corrected you are still blowing this fallacy. The Government did not contribute a single Euro! The stadium was funded by Bayern and Allianz AG

Make this thing no go be like the biblical Tower of Babel! Cos na so e fit end up the way I dey see am

Chamo you might need to make a contingency/failover plan for those wey no get access to paypal e.g if say u get dom account that would help Naija ninjas to place their stake

Ibime: 20-30 men @ £100 each will make it worthwhile to participate.

If na £50 for 10-15 players, it makes it no different to playing the normal league.

Make una up stakes abeg to make it worthwhile
Lmaoo good luck with that! This na first time thing you don't seriously expect that to work here

MRbrownJAY: Alonso and Ferrari handed a €15K penalty for misuse of DRS during the race, supposedly he used it 3 times while being well over the 1 min limit............ i can already hear A40 and his AHA (Alonso hater Association) enjoy that news.

i know that the Ferraris are struggling with pace, but i hope it was a simple mistake and not some kind of cheating, like what happened with Mercedes and the tyre test saga. sadly, the AHA will have a field day.....oh well
15k pere? Lol that's lunch money to Alonso na anyway I've always known Alonso to be a cheat so this is hardly news person do something 3 times you say na mistake. A smaller driver would probably have gotten a harsher penalty!
Well that's what happens at the Hungeroring and that's why they call it Monaco without barriers, If you know how to place your car its difficult to overtake

Remember what Lewis did to Kimi last season?
True but there was some really good overtaking moves today I also think Seb having to start on the bad side of the track aided Ham off the grid and instead of making a pass on him he ended up having to defend his position against Grosjean
Raikonnen did a great job, especially on the second stint but there are some things to think about for the people that think him moving to red bull should be a wrap. Grosjean has shown up Raikonnen for two races in a row in terms of race pace, although bad strategy cost him at Nurburgring and typical over aggression cost him here, it is something that will be noticed by Red bull.
Red Bull would probably go for Ricciardo. Younger, cheaper and easier to manage plus he's shown potential
The other thing to bare in mind is that his inabiity to perform on a saturday will cost him alot more in a Red bull than a Lotus. We saw today how the red bull's lack of straight line speed made it ver difficult to pass button. IF Raikonnen goes to Red bull he cannot afford to be qualifying 6th and 7th. Vettel will have too much of an advantage on him a the start of races whilst Raikonnen will struggle to overtake the Ferrari's Mercedes and Lotus's, and all of this is assuming that he will have Vettel's race pace or better-there is of course the possibility he just wont be as fast as Vettel.
I hope MrBrownjay is reading cause in his eyes the Red Bull is above and beyond the other cars

Kimi is fast though he is just not as consistent as Vettel

Davidbanky: How come bundesliga is one team league sir ? U seem to be very clueless about what's called ' one team league ' you can google the last 10 years in German league and see how many teams have won it, and while I are on it u should google other leagues too, even recently FIFA said it should be a model to other leagues, u must be a Chelsea fan, co the way u think is like this, ad Goetze wouldn't have stopped bayern from winning the final sir, we stopped Dortmund from lifting 4 trophies last season, and Goetze didn't play only one match so it not an excuse cos we didn't make any yesterday wen ribery, nueur,Martinez,Bastian, and others didn't play o
You dey mind dem? League wey be say na Man U and the rest!

They didn't have Gotze and we didn't have Kroos! So equation was balanced

Johnpaul88: You still like to make yourself believe there other reasons why he left Barca, other than lack of playing time. If you have an info we don't have, tell us here.
For me, the club got rid of him because they don't want anybody that will be draging them around, yet does very little to justify that.
E be like say you no know Bayern sha! Pep would have no choice but to bench him if he is not performing! So far he has not been a disappointment anyway besides Martinez and Schweini would soon be back so is Gotze things would get clearer by then

Playing time can never be the only reason he left Barca! What happens if Guardiola gets sacked? Don't be so one track minded

Since you got rid of him why don't you let him rest at his new club? You've not gone one day without talking about Thiago since he left

Davidbanky: Nice game though, even though I never supported the idea of buying thiago, but since am just a fan and my opinion does not count I ll say there are some positive to be taking from the game, its my going to be easy as proclaimed by some German coaches eg Felix marathon and co, this days players don't win matches but tactics and the application, if not the like of Madrid and man city would have been ruling Europe but bayern wer also beaten by REIT toughest opponent in Germany and Europe ... Cos this half baked bayern just thrashed Barca or was I the only one who saw the match? Anyways it's going to be a very long season .. But guardiola should please help be defeat Chelsea cos they remain the only team am craving to destroy after the lucky champions league they won in Germany .... Mia San Mia ... We are who we are
Its a good thing we lost now! At least Pep realizes what wouldn't work against Dortmund, also you can't plan or coach for silly errors like the first goal and Van Buyten's own goal

I'm not too bothered about the loss (we were unbeaten in 5 against them and are due one anyway) its when I don't see Pep correcting his mistakes that I would get worried

Pep is putting pressure on himself he is changing too much too quickly! He insisted on Thiago and Gotze we have given him both its time for him to make it work

ddippset: its only a matter of time before thiago got back to the bench just like at barca. with a fully fit bayern squad at my disposal thiago wouldnt be in my starting eleven.
This is Bayern he would have to sit at some point! Personally I don't think lack of playing time is the only reason he wanted to leave Barcelona

nitlad: If what was on display yesterday is anything to go by, then I don't see no European domination from Bavaria... It's like watching Barça all over again, albeit a figured out Barça. cheesy How you wan take dominate with a style that was bequeathed to you, and whose more masterful proponents have been figured out already? undecided

Against the big continental sides, this would not work as it has already been rendered redundant. You may blow away the smaller teams, but there would be no such luck against the Crème de la crème of the game.

Your defending is also atrocious with the disastrous highline you dey employ - with your entire back four hugging the half way line! shocked Something wey be say na im dem take kill Barça, na im una wan just dey adopt. All your defenders are not renowned sprinters, how do you hope to cope with pacy wingers and forwards seeing how easily Aubameyang left your only fast defender Alaba in no man's land at least twice. I lick my lips at Hazard's prospect at this una highline. grin

Even gan sef, If you wan play tiki-taka, try play am well before you can expect to excel with it. Tiki-taka is all about short intricate passes, not a situation where Thiago has the ball in the centre circle and the only person available for a pass is Robben or Shaqiri who are kilometres away! And to think A40 said you people have the best of both worlds? SMFDH.....

Make una shar come with una possession footie on the 30th make I chaply do una as usual. cheesy grin
Calm down and quit jizzing your pants! If this was any other team I would be extremely worried but this is Dortmund the 2nd best team in Europe! No Bayern fan was here bragging before the match cos we know Dortmund is a problem especially at the Signal Iduna

Juup Heynckes never won there! Remind us what was Mou's record at the Signal Iduna last season? No be 0-2 with 2 goals for and 6 against! Anyway we are used to ur quack analysis emphasis on "@nal" and faulty diagnostics on this thread! You talked more noise last season

Well there aren't many options atm Schweini,Martinez,Gotze are all battling with fitness issues if Thiago keeps screwing up possession he would wind up riding the bench! This is Bayern and Pep knows he has to win we've given him all the tools required

Johnpaul88: But i don't feel the same now because i have become a detractor too. Thanks to the deceptive manner he used in taking Thiago with him to Bayern. Why would he create a diversion in the press by raining tirades on Barca's top Brass? Why did he chose that time to break his silence, if there was ever need for that?
Abeg go siddon! Who attacked first?? Even Laporta has come out to call Rosell neurotic and immature! So a man isn't entitled to defend himself when his credibility is questioned especially when they were not exactly best of friends? All man know there is beef between Laporta and Rosell and we know whose side Pep is on

logica: Mixed feelings for me because I want Pep to succeed at Bayern and shut his detractors up. And then come back to Barca. With Thiago, I forgot to mention but he was always the most likely Bayern player to lose possession just as he always was at Barca.
Thiago was not the reason why we lost! Even though he should not have played him as a holding midfielder Thiago still had a good game
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by A40(m): 8:03am On Jul 28, 2013
dayokanu: Last year we couldnt beat Dortmund in the league and we needed a late goal from Robben in Wembley to beat them. They were the toughest team we played both in the CL and in the League

We would steamroll many teams in Europe its hard vs BvB because they are a team designed to beat Bayern and it took even Heyckenes several losses (3 losses in a row) to figure out Dortmund partially

BvB Dortmund is the best counter attacking team in Europe and minus Dortmund we should crush the others
Wasn't this the same Dortmund that beat Juup Heynckes 5-2 in the German Cup Final? Every Bayern fan knows Dortmund are a problem so I don't get the hullabaloo

Pep has his share of the blame tho! I've been crying for him to stop this highline he was playing with during pre-season especially with trailers like Van Buyten on the pitch the first two goals were due to freakish individual errors! He needed this reality check anyway as he seems to be changing too much too quickly plus options A,B and C at defensive midfield are struggling with match fitness, hopefully they are back for the Audi Cup

Lemme point out certain guys like Mandzukic,Kroos and even Muller who didn't play too well! Ninjas need to step up

Starke - Lahm, Boateng, van Buyten, Alaba - Thiago - Shaqiri, Kroos, Müller, Robben - Mandzukic

4-1-4-1 obviously let's see if Thiago can play the holding role or if he's going to need some help
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by A40(m): 5:49pm On Jul 27, 2013
I'm sure he was misquoted! Any thing that comes out of goal.com should always be taken with a pinch of salt. Schweini is a very defensively aware deep lying playmaker and for now I would trust him more with that role than Alcantara! Martinez still remains our best option at DM the guy is a warrior and instills the fear of God in the opposition. Gustavo is also a reliable backup, the way I see it if we are going to defend all our crowns this season I think its important we capitalize on our depth and use it as an advantage! Emphasis should always be on the team

Supercup in a few hours there's no telling how Pep would line the team up but Starke and Shaq would probably get starting berths today

logica: LMAO. Dude, if only you allowed your horizon to expand a bit, you would have known that the same man you are praising God for applying "common sense" in allowing 3 dubious goals against Barca was the same one that booked Alaba and gave Real that penalty. Apparently he is always at the center of one controversy or the other; so why does he continue to officiate? However you look at it, you will just continue to buttress my point that the Champions League has become a farce.
Are you are a jester? I knew which was why I referenced the Madrid vs Bayern game in the first place!

Anyway you are just whining! The only debatable goal was the 2nd with Gomez marginally offside all the other goals were perfect so enuff with the excuses already! When Barca were winning you didn't come out to complain about any farce so make we hear word

Which ref has not been at the center of controversy? Clattenburg,Webb,Merk? They all have been there at some point
