El Guapo: Since u're seeking for cheap attention, i'd put aside negligence and dust u up to stardom.

Kakuta failed at Chelsea cos he Joined a Club star studded to the brim. Hence, he never got a chance to display his goodies, that left us with an option, to loan him out and hoping he'd 'mutate' into something extraordinary, extraordinary enough to get him in the mix. But he never helped himself! Yeah he didnt.

When he got the chance to play, he gave away possession 26% of the time he tried a pass, the most for a Chelsea Outfielder.

He only created one shot, five less than Joe Cole.

How many dribbles did he complete? Zero!

In one game, Adam Phillip [now known as Adam Coombes] scored the same amount of goals Kakuta did in his entire Reserve League South Season (3).

Matic, Sturridge, Borini and Josh were more assertive.

Loaning him to Fulham was fraught with danger - He couldn't have easily displaced Duff or Dempsey to the pecking order!

The loan to Bolton was an unmitigated disaster - That even Miyiachi did alot to question the frenchman's worth.

He scored and created a combined six goals In 12 starts for Dijon but it was impossible to turn a dismal eye to his decision-making.
He led ligue 1 in being dispossessed of possession per game (4.6).

Did ur dead brain tell u that 475 players in France's top-flight completed a higher percentage of passes (65.5+) than Kakuta (65.4)?

Hehehehehe and to think this was the Kalakuta ninja that almost got yall banned from the transfer market

From what I've seen so far in preseason this team would obviously score by the buckets so no suprises there as we had more of the same last season. A friend of mine after seeing some of Bayern's games said he pitied the rest of Europe this season

However I want to see how Pep sets up this team when Schweini,Martinez and Dante return! I'm a bit worried about the high line and how that system would play out against Europe's elite but that should be fixed when a large part of the defensive spine of the team feature like I mentioned above. I also hope Pep is working on defending from set-pieces that for me was our biggest issue last season! We have too many beasts in the air to be leaking that many goals from corners

debosky: Arsenal can afford Higuain - with the new Emirates deal bringing in £30m extra every season. How much is Higuain again? £37m? Are you now claiming that, without the Emirates deal, Arsenal can't afford to pay £7m player?

This is not even factoring in the yet to be officially confirmed Puma deal, which will bring in another estimated £30m per year, or the improved revenue from the TV deals in which will likely double what Arsenal makes from £55m at the moment?

What is in dispute is whether Arsenal will spend. The club definitely can spend if it chooses to.
How does that song go again? "Kiku ma pa maga mi" I'm sure that's what Wenger sings every morning. Those monies might be "available" theoretically but by the time those fat cats in your board are done lining their pockets there wouldn't be much left to spend. You guys don't have that kind of chips to throw around grin grin

Have they actually hiked the price? Was he ever available at the rumoured £23m? Is Arsenal actually interested and have Arsenal actually made any bids?

It's interesting how you're selectively treating rumour and conjecture as fact.
Hey those season tickets would not sell themselves now would they? I don't believe anyone above 5 years of age should actually believe Arsenal can afford Higuain with Wenger and his goons in charge

Fabville: I don't understand why you are bringing this in. When did Chelsea become a standard for you to measure a team's strength?
What i am saying is that Martinez could not prevent Ath. Madrid from walloping them three nil the way he was key to Bayern winning the UCL. The main job in Bayern's defensive midfield is done by Scheini.

He has the worst disciplinary record in Europe and in La Liga in that season.
He was far away from Fellaini despite him not playing in Europe.
You have not been able to prove me wrong on these.
Thank God that you said you know all these before forking out 40 mil euros to buy him.

Whether is good enough or not is not what brought about this.
I have posted statistics that showed that Fellaini rank higher than Martinez.
The fact is that he's better than the Martinez you bought for 40 mil euros.

This shows that you no nothing about Fellaini. Who turned him into a box-to-box midfielder and where did they turn him into this?
It is on record that he has been a box-to-box player since his days at Liege and because of this he won the Ebony Shoe in 2008. A player with the bolded up will never be a box-to-box midfielder.

If you don't know the meaning of box-to-box midfielder, here is it:
The term "box-to-box" is often used to refer to the most dynamic all-round/complete midfielders, who provide both defensive and attacking prowess.[4] The most versatile of players, they typically possess exceptional stamina and are usually skilled at tackling, passing, shooting and also good at keeping possession. Examples of a box-to-box midfielders are: Arturo Vidal,[5] Yaya Toure,[5]Aaron Ramsey, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, Paulinho, Claudio Marchisio, Selçuk İnan, Marouane Fellaini, Lothar Matthäus, Roy Keane and Daniele De Rossi.
See those that are in his category. Where is your Javi Martinez there?

I said it that you do not know this player. He can play both as a defensive midfielder and as a central defender.
Bilbao's coach Marcelo Bielsa used him regularly as a central defender during his time there. So, i don't know what you are talking about that he was played in the CB.
If that is not his original position why then did Pep said that he will be using him in center back so as to accommodate Thiago in his team?

His job as a defensive midfielder is to rack up 17 yellow cards and three red cards in a season as a defensive midfielder. Definitely he is a dirty defensive midfielder comparable to Lassana Diara. Do you know that it was because of the same disciplinary record that Diarra couldn't make it at R. Madrid under JM?

They are both defensive midfielder. The only is that Schweini is a deep-lying-plamaker while Martinez is a holding midfielder. Meaning that Scheini is taking so much attention away from him from his play making role. If pressure is on the other team, he will make less errors.

You haven't shown me anything to prove this.
Maybe if he had been sent off against Arsenal and Arsenal knocked your team out then you would have said it was because of him that you couldn't win the UCL.

Thoroughly outplayed indeed! Your team had 21 shots, 9 on target not entered the net and you are saying they managed to escape. This is funny! Did they pack-the-bus or did they tie your players legs.
This is a disgrace to your team for Arsenal to have only 5 shots on goal, 3 on target and two went inside. Who was more efficient? You are here talking that they manage to escape when at the dying minute of the match your players were taking the ball to the corner and throwing line in order to waste time. Find something else to say.

Don't even go there. How many teams are in your Bundesliga? Your league plays lesser number of games compared to EPL. Despite playing lesser number of games, they still go on break to rest. EPL is stronger, faster and more competitive than your Bundesliga. Check out the statistics i post.

You must be kidding! This simply shows that you were never a footballer. You shouldn't have said this in a public forum like this. Tackling is one of the basic skills of a defensive midfielder and the most important. Check out from what i post.

I will not respond to this because you do not know understand the role he is playing at Everton.

That is not correct. In his first season 2008/09 he scored 8 goals; 2009/10 2 goals; 2010/11 1 goal; 2011/12 3 goals; 2012/2013; 11 goals. So, where did you get your 6 goals from. Get your facts right before posting.
I don't know where you are getting your facts from. They have both have 8 years career and Martinaz have scored 26 goals from 228 app. while Fellaini have scored 34 goals from 200 apps.

All these are rumours just like you said down there. Show me where the coach made an attempt to sign him not where some press were peddling rumours about.

That is an insult to Barca to think that they cannot afford him. How much did they buy Ibra and Neymar that they cannot afford to pay 40 mil euro for a player they badly need? The fact is that he was overpriced at that price. That was why no top spanish clubs went for him.
Come to think of it. Let's say Barca have interest in him and bought him. Is he going to displace Busquet or Masherano in the team? Are you telling me that he is better than these two in that role? You must be joking. He will rot on the bench unless they use him as a CB. Barca never had any interest in him.

Those links you posted are from individual's interest in the player and not that of the coach. Is Francesc Tomàs part of Barca coaching crew or a columnist? How can you believe these? Som Man Utd columnists have also written similar article on how Strootman will solve Man Utd's defensive midfield problem with the coach not even bidding for him.

This is an insult to the owners of Man City that they don't have the money buy Martinez! Do you know how much they have spent since they bought Man City? Have Bayern spent up to half of what they have spent in the same period? They simply didn't want to buy him because he was overpriced.
Barca will never jump at your karate man because he is not better than Busquet, Macherano and Song.

Fabville: I don't understand why you are bringing this in. When did Chelsea become a standard for you to measure a team's strength?
You mean the same Chelsea that won the Champions League and Europa back to back? You amuse me

Fabville: What i am saying is that Martinez could not prevent Ath. Madrid from walloping them three nil the way he was key to Bayern winning the UCL. The main job in Bayern's defensive midfield is done by Scheini.
How can he prevent it when Athletico Madrid were a far better and more complete team? Even Cristiano Ronaldo wouldn't save Athletic Bilbao that day

Only that Javi Martinez's arrival coincides with Bayern breaking all defensive records in the Bundesliga

Fabville: He has the worst disciplinary record in Europe and in La Liga in that season.
Sergio Ramos and Gerard Pique says hi! Those guys are worse than Martinez overall but no one doubts their quality

Fabville: He was far away from Fellaini despite him not playing in Europe.
You have not been able to prove me wrong on these.
Prove you wrong on what?? Clearances are the only metric Fellaini outshined Martinez!
In Europe against the elite Martinez was only beaten 0.3 times per game while Fellaini was home biting his nails

Fabville: Thank God that you said you know all these before forking out 40 mil euros to buy him.
I don't think you are more knowledgeable than legendary Juup Heynckes that insisted we met Martinez's buyout fee

Fabville: Whether is good enough or not is not what brought about this.
I have posted statistics that showed that Fellaini rank higher than Martinez.
The fact is that he's better than the Martinez you bought for 40 mil euros.
You showed a bloody graph! While the other sets of stats you showed highlighted how much of a defensive liability Fellaini was

And that has been my argument! Martinez is a better DM I didn't say central midfielder or attacking midfielder I said DM

Fabville: This shows that you no nothing about Fellaini. Who turned him into a box-to-box midfielder and where did they turn him into this?
It is on record that he has been a box-to-box player since his days at Liege and because of this he won the Ebony Shoe in 2008. A player with the bolded up will never be a box-to-box midfielder.

See those that are in his category. Where is your Javi Martinez there?
Fellaini started out as a DM and has said it times without number that DM is his preferred position! Unfortunately he lacks the tactical discipline to figure in that position hence he was moved forward
Have you asked yourself why Fellaini is still playing for Everton at almost 26? Can you tell me one major European competition for club and country has Fellaini made any impact in?

How many big clubs have made any serious bid for Fellaini since he got to England? Let's keep it a 100 Fellaini isn't top 25 among DM's in Europe never mind Javi Martinez caliber
If you are talking about box to box midfielders then that is a different thing entirely but most box to box players are tactically indisciplined and use their athleticism to make up for their flaws guys like Vidal,Toure,Marchisio,Fellaini,Gerrard,Ramires

Fabville: I said it that you do not know this player. He can play both as a defensive midfielder and as a central defender.
Bilbao's coach Marcelo Bielsa used him regularly as a central defender during his time there. So, i don't know what you are talking about that he was played in the CB.
Hahahaha see Papi Luwe dey tell me say I no know Martinez! If you go read player wiki at least read it completely and stop yarning half-truths! Little did you know that last 11/12 season was the first time Javi Martinez was played at CB

Fabville: If that is not his original position why then did Pep said that he will be using him in center back so as to accommodate Thiago in his team?
He can play there but that is not his preferred position

Fabville: His job as a defensive midfielder is to rack up 17 yellow cards and three red cards in a season as a defensive midfielder.
Stop blowing fallacy! He was played at CB not defensive midfielder! Stop lying!

Fabville: Definitely he is a dirty defensive midfielder comparable to Lassana Diara. Do you know that it was because of the same disciplinary record that Diarra couldn't make it at R. Madrid under JM?
But Sergio Ramos is also in that same R.Madrid and so is Pepe so you don't have any point! Diarra was a bust! Simple

Fabville: They are both defensive midfielder. The only is that Schweini is a deep-lying-plamaker while Martinez is a holding midfielder. Meaning that Scheini is taking so much attention away from him from his play making role. If pressure is on the other team, he will make less errors.
Who is more offensive minded between the two?

Fabville: You haven't shown me anything to prove this.
Maybe if he had been sent off against Arsenal and Arsenal knocked your team out then you would have said it was because of him that you couldn't win the UCL.
Bayern had gone 2 seasons without a trophy prior to his arrival! He and Dante get into the team and Bayern wind up breaking all defensive records in the Bundesliga

Yes maybe I was dating Megan Fox,Heidi Klum and Miley Cyrus at the same time but that's clearly not the case

Unless his sending off led directly to a goal for Arsenal then blaming Martinez for a potential exit seems dumb IMO

Fabville: Thoroughly outplayed indeed!
This is not a rare phenomena in football as you can outplay a team and still lose so you are hardly making any point here!

Man U vs Portsmouth in 08 how many shots on goal did Pompey have?

Celtic vs Barcelona: Celtic beat Barcelona with a whopping 18% possession

I believe the term gamesmanship is foreign to you! Even teams leading 100-0 resort to that

Fabville: Don't even go there. How many teams are in your Bundesliga? Your league plays lesser number of games compared to EPL. Despite playing lesser number of games, they still go on break to rest. EPL is stronger, faster and more competitive than your Bundesliga. Check out the statistics i post.
Speed = No of games played? Ok I'm getting you

What stops EPL from going on their own break? After all La Liga and Serie A play 38 games and still go on break

EPL is stronger indeed that is why Bundesliga products are coming to EPL and controlling proceedings

Fabville: You must be kidding! This simply shows that you were never a footballer. You shouldn't have said this in a public forum like this. Tackling is one of the basic skills of a defensive midfielder and the most important. Check out from what i post.
E pele Mr Footballer! What teams did you play for? I said tackling is not as important as interceptions in the rating of a defensive midfielder! As interceptions show a higher ability to read the game and nip danger in the bud before it starts I never said tackling is not important at all. I'd like to assume you can read

Fabville: I will not respond to this because you do not know understand the role he is playing at Everton.
This is what happens when you just post stats without even perusing them! They clearly show that Fellaini played 27 games at the AM position last season so its you who doesn't know what he is talking about

Fabville: That is not correct. In his first season 2008/09 he scored 8 goals; 2009/10 2 goals; 2010/11 1 goal; 2011/12 3 goals; 2012/2013; 11 goals. So, where did you get your 6 goals from. Get your facts right before posting.
I like to have a one on one with your english teacher! He has failed you and whatever country he might reside in. A post where I clearly said Fellaini scored "6 goals in 3 seasons prior to this" and you still claim my facts are incorrect. This is getting hilarious

Fabville: I don't know where you are getting your facts from. They have both have 8 years career and Martinaz have scored 26 goals from 228 app. while Fellaini have scored 34 goals from 200 apps.
Abeg divide the 9 goals he scored in the Belgian league by half! So with that he barely outscores Martinez despite him playing DM and sometimes CB and not being the
1st,2nd or even 3rd goal scoring option for his team

Fabville: All these are rumours just like you said down there. Show me where the coach made an attempt to sign him not where some press were peddling rumours about.
Mancini openly ran after Martinez, Barca were also interested! Some of those links have quotes from Mancini and Zubizaretta themselves

Fabville: That is an insult to Barca to think that they cannot afford him. How much did they buy Ibra and Neymar that they cannot afford to pay 40 mil euro for a player they badly need? The fact is that he was overpriced at that price.
They had to pay in lump sum they could not afford Martinez! That's the simple fact! Athletic did not collect in installments like Santos are doing for Neymar

Fabville: That was why no top spanish clubs went for him.
Come to think of it. Let's say Barca have interest in him and bought him. Is he going to displace Busquet or Masherano in the team? Are you telling me that he is better than these two in that role? You must be joking. He will rot on the bench unless they use him as a CB. Barca never had any interest in him.
Athletic Bilbao are a notoriously difficult club to do business with. If you don't know better ask somebody! We sef know wetin we take our eye see before we landed him so it is possible that all those issues scared off Madrid and Barca

Who is Mascherano? Based on current form Martinez is better than Busquets as well so what are you talking about?

Barca could not afford Martinez that is the simple truth! Hence they settled for a cheaper Alex Song

Fabville: Those links you posted are from individual's interest in the player and not that of the coach. Is Francesc Tomàs part of Barca coaching crew or a columnist? How can you believe these? Som Man Utd columnists have also written similar article on how Strootman will solve Man Utd's defensive midfield problem with the coach not even bidding for him.
Those are Barca fans and Barca socios talking about how much of their defensive problems Martinez would solve! I'm waiting for the day a ninja like Fellaini would be afforded that kind of recognition

Fabville: This is an insult to the owners of Man City that they don't have the money buy Martinez! Do you know how much they have spent since they bought Man City? Have Bayern spent up to half of what they have spent in the same period? They simply didn't want to buy him because he was overpriced.
Barca will never jump at your karate man because he is not better than Busquet, Macherano and Song.
It is not about how much they have spent! They also have to balance the books because of the bad contracts they have signed over the years! Guys like Adebayor,Santa Cruz etc had to be offloaded. Hell how many major transfers did Man City make last season? That should tell you something

Bayern due to judicious spending in the past would naturally be able to spend on Martinez because they haven't been busy accumulating flops like Sanchez,Ibra,Mascherano and to an extent Fabregas and Villa

Now if we start with Man City Nairaland would probably shutdown

Javi is better than every DM Barcelona has! And the 7-0 we knack them clearly highlights that fact

Fabville: I will post something to let you know that he was courted by Bayern

Fabville: You want the history of the player you used so much money to buy and i'll give it to you
I know his history bros you don't need to tell me

Fabville: Why didn't he played that key role in winning the Europa league cup for Bilbao instead of losing scandalously to Ath. Madrid in the final? It was from his defensive midfield position that Ath. Madrid scored three unreplied goals. They would have even scored more but because they were wasteful.
There is no shame in falling to one of the strongest teams in Europe! This same Athletico put European Champions Chelsea to the sword they beat Real Madrid and ended Mourinho's winning streak in Finals with the deadliest striker in the game!

Martinez has been able to help his team to 4 finals in only 6 seasons losing to Atletico Madrid and Barcelona (Pep era) mind you Bilbao only feature players from the Basque region so that should tell you something

The question is at almost 26 what has Fellaini done in Europe??

Fabville: That is because he is being underrated. When a big club buys him we'll revisit this.
You mean not good enough

Fabville: Fellaini is not just an attacking midfielder, he is a box-to-box midfielder. It was last last season that he operated more in the attacking midfield. In his early years at in Belgium and Everton, he was used more as a defensive midfielder and only on some occasions when their srikers had injuries that he was pushed forward as an attacking midfielder.
This shows you that he is more of an all round midfielder (box-to-box midfielder) than Javi Martinez.
Which means you have lost sight of what the original argument was about which is Martinez is a better DM than Fellaini. Fellaini started as a DM but his defensive incompetence and tactical indiscipline is what made them turn him a box to box midfielder
in the first place

Fabville: I can see that you do not know the player you bought and i will tell you how rough he is.
In 2011/2012 when he played last for Bilbao. This was also the season he had a run in the Europa league up till the final where they were thrashed three nil.

1. He played 30(1) (2561 mins) games in all competitions. He was booked 17 times in all competitions and out of these 17, he was booked 5 times in Europe. He was also sent of 3 times in the season and one of the red cards was 2 yellow cards.
What do you now say about a player who can be hot-headed? Can you now see how rash he was.
He was played at CB! Which isn't even his original position. I wonder what would happen if a clumsy ninja like Fellaini has to play CB for an entire season
If he could get booked 8 times playing as an attacking midfielder

Fabville: Also in 2010/2011 season, he played 35 games (2918 mins) and was cautioned (yellow carded) 11 times.
That is the job of a defensive midfielder! The season Fellaini played that position he got 13 bookings! In the Premiership alone

Fabville: As a matter of fact, it is Schweinsteinger that is protecting him from all these flaws but he was later exposed in your match against Arsenal.
Martinez is a defensive ninja! While Schweini instigates offensively so there are bound to be hitches when one or the other component is missing

Fabville: 2. I know you are a Bayern fan but because Bayern wasted 40 mill Euro to take him to your club you will want to justify that kind of huge amount of money.
A waste?? The Champions League,Bundesliga and DFB Pokal trophies are laughing at you. We went from 3 times runner ups to treble winners and signings like Martinez made it possible

Fabville: In the match that Arsenal played against Bayern at Allianz Arena where Arsenal humiliated Bayern at home. Who was there? It was Javi Martinez. Who wasn't there? It was Schweini. Javi Martinez was even lucky to be on the pitch for the 90mins after doing a Taekwondo on Rosicky's chest. That is how dirty he is. If he had done that while playing for Bilbao, i can bet it that the refree would have given him a straight red.
Arsenal humiliated indeed! A match were Arsenal was thoroughly outplayed but managed to escape with victory thanks to the wastefulness of our forwards! So Bayern have never lost a game Schweini played? Its funny that in an entire season you can only point to one bad game.

Fabville: 3. For him to have had such a bad disciplinary record in La Liga that is not fast paced as EPL, i wonder how many red and yellow cards he would have been given if he was to be playing in the EPL. Is Bundesliga as fast as EPL? No and that shows the reason why Feallaini's fouls will be higher than his.
When would you people stop peddling this myth that the EPL is the fastest league in the world? Have you sat down to watch the Bundesliga or La Liga? Or do you have any stats to back up your claim

Fabville: You also say tackle is not important. I dey laugh!!!
Tackles are not as important as interceptions that's what I said bros

Fabville: Fellaini have only been sent off only once in his playing career. What does that tell you?
Playing predominantly as an attacking midfielder even at that he still manages almost 40 bookings despite playing only one season at DM

Fabville: I wasn't even talking about Fellaini's offensive statistics because Javi Martinez is nowhere near Fellaini in that area.
Says who? I was even giving Fellaini awoof credit all this time! On closer inspection Fellaini only managed 6 goals in the 3 seasons prior to this one
Despite playing central/attacking midfield! Whereas Martinez playing as a defensive midfielder/center back has scored 25 times in 7 seasons. So despite playing a more advanced role his offensive stats are only marginally better

Fabville: Man City was interested in him! To displace who? Yaya Toure, Gareth Barry, or De Jong who is like for like? You are funny.
Loool where you in space when Man City and Mancini were running after Martinez like molue on a Monday morning? Barry,De Jong? Those ones na player? You mean De Jong that was even on his way out! Yaya Toure doesn't play DM so I don't get your point! After failing to land Martinez they settled for Javi Garcia and we can all see the result

Fabville: Did you ever have a thought that why didn't R. Madrid and Barca go for your highly rated Martinez? They will never go for a player with such disciplinary record.

Barca wasn't interested in him. If they were they would have gotten him. Before Barca go ond get players outside La Liga, they will first search for such player within La Liga and it is when they don't see any player who match the kind of player they are looking for that they will then look up to other leagues.
They didn't go for or could not afford him? Please be more specific! Javi Martinez is one of the reasons Pep is at Bayern today you don't even know how hard he chased after him while he was at Barcelona! A player that was already a Spanish International and had previously captained Spain's Under 21 side to victory is who Barca and Madrid would not be interested in? Me sef dey laugh u

All astute observers have pointed Javi Martinez as the missing link in Barcelona even before he joined Bayern most commentators predicted he was money well-spent despite us paying 40 million
euros for him that should tell you how good he is

www.barcablog.com/2012/07/barcelona-transfers-why-javi-martinez.html?m=1

www.barcablaugranes.com/2012/6/3/3059720/transfer-rumors-central-defenders-thiago-silva-javi-martinez-and-more

You can see how badly Barca fans and pundits are busy crying and moaning for Javi Martinez

You think Bayern Munich a team that has been in the black for 2 decades would go around splurging money if they didn't think he was value for it

Fabville: Barca saw him before they went for Alex Song. They knew the guy was overpriced coupled with his disciplinary records.
My people have this saying "Soup wey sweet na better money kill am" Man City went for the cheaper option Javi Garcia and he has already been universally acknowledged as a bust Barca also went for Alex Song and they experienced first hand the gem they missed out on! Go and ask anybody at Barca now if they wouldn't jump at getting Martinez if they could rewind time

Fabville: Finally, at the time Fellaini was bought by Everton in 2008 when he was 20 years old, there were interest from R. Madrid, Aston Villa and even your Bayern with a strong interest but he choose to go to Everton because of playing time. for his developement.
These are all rumors! Fellaini is not Bayern quality and if he chose to go to Everton it only shows how limited his ambitions are and it also explains why at almost 26 he is still at a small club like Everton

Fabville: At that time, Man Utd made contact with his agent persuading him not to sign a new contract with Liege so to sign him but they refused and he signed a new contract with Liege before Everton went for him.

Who is this Karate guy? Please let me know.
So why haven't yall gone for him since? Like I said when he consistently gets courted by big clubs across Europe get back to me

Yeah like Fellaini isn't liable to rough tackles
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by A40(m): 12:57am On Jul 21, 2013
Fabville: He was only fortunate to find himsel in a good team that won the UCL.
He played a key role in us getting there in the first place

Fabville: You took the one you wanted out of the stats. Those one you quoted improved as a result of him playing with better players where he won't be exposed so much.
So what is holding Fellaini back from playing with these better players at such an advanced point in his career?

Fabville: Add these to the stats:
He was dribbled 0.9 times in the league while Fellaini was dribble in 0.4 times. Fellaini played more league matches than Martinez and was dribbled far lesser than Martinez.
Fellaini plays Attacking midfield! Who's likelier to get dribbled? A defensive midfielder or an attacking midfielder facing most likely the least skilled players on the field I'd let you tell it

Fabville: Fellaini made more tackles than Martinez.
Tackles are never more important than interceptions in any country. Tackles lead to fouls which potentially leads to free kick opportunities in dangerous positions for the opponent! No wonder they don't play Fellaini at DM anymore

This ninja is so clumsy he averages almost 3 fouls a game from the attacking midfield position, Can you beat that? That means every tackle Fellaini makes is as good as a foul

Obviously Martinez is tidier which reflects in his lower foul count, higher passing percentage and higher interception rate despite dealing with more skillful players more often than not

Fabville: Fellaini also made more clearance than Martinez.
Touche! Only defensive attribute he has on Martinez

Fabville: So what are you talking about? His statistics rose after he moved to Bayern.
When will Fellaini make this leap?

Fabville: You can see his statistics when he was in Bilbao compared to Fellaini in 2011/2012. It shows that Fellaini was better than Matinez.
Absolutely false! Fellaini might score more goals but that's because he was pushed further up the pitch where his tactical frailties woulda been less harshly exposed! Martinez stats still flaw Fellaini's

Fabville: How many teams was he linked to along with Bayern during the last transfer window? I believe non other than Bayern. If he was so good it wouldn't be Bayern alone.
Man City were interested! Barca have been lusting after Javi Martinez since time immemorial but couldn't afford him. Bayern bit the bullet and shelled out 40 million euros for him

The question I ask you once again is why is no one interested in Fellaini despite only costing a little over half of that
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by A40(m): 10:22pm On Jul 20, 2013
Fabville: How many times and was he the main player who dragged them to Europa league?
How many times did Bilbao get to final of major tournaments in the past? Why not tell us how many times Fellaini has dragged Everton to any major achievements in Europe

Fabville: Was is it not the release clause the club put on him in other to ward off big club from buying him. He was overpriced.
This is what you asked for:
Of course because we felt he was worth it! Twelve months on Bayern is celebrating a treble you think its a coincidence?

Now tell me why no one wants to buy Fellaini? At 24million pounds shouldn't clubs all over Europe be falling over each other for his signature

Good job posting those stats! As they clearly show Martinez commits less fouls, more interceptions and against the best in Europe only got beat 0.3 times per match add that to the fact that he also shares the field with Bastian Schweinsteiger his defensive numbers become even more impressive

Fabville: Where was Matinez before Bayern but him? That is exactly what the graph showed. His rating started rising when he started playing for Bayern.

You can see that in 2011/2012 when he was still at Bilbao and Fellaini with Everton, he was far far lower to Fellaini in the ranking. That is exactly what the graph is showing to us. His rating started rising from October 2012 and still he is yet to get up to Fellaini.
He was in Athletic Bilbao dragging them to the Europa League final. You are a Man U fan you guys were also their victims so you should know

Your graph is bogus! Where are the tackles made, interceptions, pass accuracy etc? any Tom D!c and Harry can come up with a graph it doesn't show anything! Besides that why is no decent club in Europe after Fellaini? For a fiscally responsible club like Bayern to spend 40 million euros on a defensive midfielder you suppose know say water don pass garri

Get to me when a big club is ready to buy Fellaini

Why are your scouts so lazy? Buying Thiago Silva makes no sense! You guys can't even afford him for starters and two he is 29!

We got Boateng and Dante for about 15 million euros and the results are evident

SailorXY: There is no base for this comparism. If/when Fellaini joins up with United (or a top rate team) then we can revisit this issue. Fellaini plays at Everton *big fish small kettle* time will tell if he is really up there with the kings
So what does that mean in essence? Why is Fellaini at almost 26 being passed on by top teams? Even oil mad PSG and Russian fueled Monaco teams with money to throw around yet no one is giving Fellaini a second glance

His release clause is less than 25mil chicken feed in today's market why is no one in a hurry to pay?

Fabville: It is because Fellaini he's playing for Everton that he is being underrated. For what i saw Fellaini played last season, i believe he is better than Martinez. I will search for their statistics later.

Fabville: He is better than him. Is it by playing against Iniesta that you'll know who is better? Has Fellaini played against Iniesta for you to now use that to compare the two? Don't get you.
How many times do you remember seeing Iniesta look so helpless on the pitch? Who is Fellaini? No be only Fellaini na Fela Anikulapo Kuti! No one rates him outside Everton never mind England

You would struggle to name 2 DM's better than Martinez in all of Europe
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by A40(m): 3:53pm On Jul 20, 2013
Fabville: As it stands, i will prefer us going for Fellaini. He has improved his game a lot considering his performances during last season.

His buyout clause okay compared to how much Bayern bought Javi Martinez from Bilbao last season and he is better than Jarvi Martinez. He is a box-to-box midfielder. He is the type of battler we need in that midfield.

If we go for him, he will be willing to play for Utd with David Moyes's influence. He is the only one we can get now for David Moyes to prove himself come next season.
Fellaini better than Martinez?? Loool go and ask Iniesta about Martinez the Spanish Effenberg! Bros football is not by afro

tonydoes: we did 20million euros..but the deal broke down when fiorentina started playing games by opening talks with Juve simulteanously...i bear them no grudge tho but lets call a spade a spade,it bordered on greed
Greed? Lool its an open market! And its what you have to deal with when there are multiple buyers involved! Every club sells to the highest bidders these days. Besides are you sure you guys were serious about Jovetic? The Juve you claim were after Jovetic barely forked out 12milla for Tevez I don't think they had that much money to blow

Look around Europe every serious club has made significant progress in their dealings
