You guys might as well focus on the league. There is no UCL to fallback on if you don't finish in the top 4

As for Torres I would take him serious if he is able to get a goal against Sunderland

4 goals in 15 games is still a disgrace for someone monopolizing the CF spot at Chelsea.

bayernobi07: Don't you think they will also worry to play us...
I dont want Dortmund..that's stress..but we will overcome..them when it comes to the Champions League
My challenge is Just Barcelona.
Well you are right. Let's wait for the draws. Either way you have to beat who is in front of you to win it!

bayernobi07: Supersports analysts have mentioned us amongst the 4 teams to win this thing.
It wasnt me that said this,.,,this is what the epert analysts said themselves....mentioning 4 teams.
Based on current form and capability in order of....

Barcelona...Bayern Munich..Dortmund..Madrid.
Mian sia Mia.
I'm not a big fan of tagging teams as favorites it can sometimes put undue pressure on you and none on the opponent. I hope they are not listening to that at the Sabener Strasse

Looool we would leave y'all FUBAR. Its always sorrow, tears and blood each time we face u ninjas

Comfortable win in the end. Shaqiri was majestic Gomez sharp and Juup rotated the squad well giving guys like Contento,Rafinha playing time. Boateng's sending off was the low point and we might have to buy come January now

Porto,Arsenal,Milan,Madrid,Shakhtar,Celtic,Galatasaray

Really not bothered who we draw. No disrespect to the other teams but the teams I dread the most are Dortmund and Barca

Dante,Schweini and Martinez one yellow card away from suspension. I guess its best they ride the bench on this one.
Might mean the dreaded Van Buyten could get a start sad

Gomez or Pizza should start today. Let Mandzukic take a breather

Suprised LeBron and co lost to the Wizards

The Lakers?? Hmm Phil Jackson's curse must be working on em. They can't sack D'Antoni cos they gave him a 4 year deal. I really don't get how the team has sunk to this depth even though they are missing both their starting and backup PG

@Royal

debosky: That's not the question - the initial discussion was around Citeh and Dortmund's current performances. Dortmund as a previous winner has more CL pedigree than Citeh - that is incontrovertible.
That's why I brought in the Dortmund example *yawns* tell me something that I don't know

debosky: As I said before this phantom controversy began, I've said that Citeh has underperformed in Europe, and you can't directly compare two different club's trajectories in Europe.

EVEN IF we were to compare (i.e. we shouldn't in the first place/this is just beside the way) their respective histories in the UCL (and by extension in Europe as a whole) gives Dortmund the advantage of pedigree.

As for their UCL pedigree before winning in '97, they won the competition in their second year in the UCL. However - this is where the Uefa Cup experience comes in - while it may have been a 'third tier' competition, the ability to manage competing both in Europe and domestically over an extended period of 6/7 seasons prior to their win ( a period in which they lost in a final) likely aided them in eventually winning the UCL. Compare that to Citeh's recent experience of 4 seasons in Europe (2 Europa league group of 16, and 2 CL campaigns) and the difference is clear.
Hehehehehe see this verbose ninja! Comparing experience acquired in a lower competition to UCL experience. Did you factor the step up in competition??
You can't acquire pedigree for a competition you didn't participate in for goodness sake!!

So since Arsenal has won 10 FA cups we can say they have a high League Cup pedigree afterall its the same English competition. Do you see how ret@rded your argument sounds

Who has cataracts now? grin grin grin

Erm. . . because UCL is a European competition - i.e UCL is a subset of Europe in this sense.
What was their pedigree in the UCL itself? How many finals and semi-finals did they get to before winning in 97
Dortmund playing in Europe for 6/7 consecutive seasons before winning. Hahahahaha Debosky can you prove that white hot lie?

But Of course I wouldn't put it past you to omit the first part of my post. I even added 'winning' or did Dortmund win the UEFA Cup

debosky: Erm. . . because UCL is a European competition - i.e UCL is a subset of Europe in this sense.
If you where not such a simp you would notice I limited my argument to Dortmund's participation in the UCL itself you where the one that kept slipping and sliding round the issue. Lemme let u in on a secret. I knew about Dortmund being frequent and consistent qualifiers to the Uefa Cup in the 90's which was why I limited the argument range to UCL performance

So if I say what is GEJ's record as a President Broda odensi like Debosky would come up with his performance as Bayelsa state governor. After all na public service

debosky: I said Dortmund played in Europe (not UCL/Champions Cup) for 6/7 years before winning - you said it was a 'hot lie'. grin People who have comprehension skills would've asked how many of the 6/7 were in Europe's premier competition, not calling it a 'hot lie'.
Maybe you can't read or have some form of cataract in your eyes! I said Dortmund playing in UCL for 6/7 years was a white hot lie! I didn't say Europe.
Why would you bring in Europe when the debate was about the UCL in the first place? Or where we arguing about general performances in Europe. Debosky is putting on his simpleton hat just to save an argument he clearly lost!! The argument just in case you where suffering from amnesia at the time (still think you are) was what was Dortmund's pedigree in the UCL before they won it?

debosky: While arguing it is permissible to introduce additional evidence that supports your main point. Or is that also something you've forgotten? grin
You call that evidence?? Debosky has sunk deeper into the morass.

debosky: Excellent - I hear y'all are getting a 'we got beaten in our backyard final' plaque from Platini too. grin

Ibime: Isnt it funny? The same guys who launched campaign to get some of our best performers out the team to "clear space for talent" are now coming back to give excuses for their non performance. "They are still in development", "Calculate how many games they've played ", "They are only 21", "They are too small" and yada yada yada.

Didn't they know all these when campaigning to "clear space"?

This week Benitez came out to say these boys have no physical or mental strength and they are losing confidence from being physically dominated. Yet some of our esteemed friend think "we dont have enough MaZaCars"

First of all, I have no problem with the new guys, neither would I blame them entirely for the recent run given that their striker is not firing,. . . their defensive midfielder was not built for them. . . and they are demoralised by Roman's actions recently. They are the spark we've needed to make a difference in certain games over the last few years but style doth not a team make. The style is only an add-on to a solid base.

But the technical director decided to overstock on style with no base. For one, Mikel is a no-no to carry such lightweight midfield.

I am tired of repeating myself consistently for months whilst others blame calculators, age, Lampard, need for more Matas, tiredness, RDM, and invent new DIAGNOSES of the problem every week.

Let's hark back to the summer :

Ogheneme!!! I even missed that part! Edumare would bless you this December! Your cup shall run over with 100's

I don't know why Debosky is not on True Blood with his shape shifting skills

Ibime: Now check the eediocy of his statement:

(1.) The same fool who said Torres is a top player now claims loaning out Lukaku is a mistake. If Torres (who's been healthy all season) is a top player, loaning out Lukaku should be no mistake.

(2.) The snake even takes his deception further by blaming RDM. Isnt the person who signs the players tasked with the responsibility of building the squad? Do you sign players without clearing space for them? You can't buy every single player, yet claim you didnt sell. Before you buy, you calculate who goes out to make space for your signings. Please see Nateevs if you need help calculating this simple fact.
Only a simpleton would blame RDM for Lukaku's exit on loan what is wrong with sending a 19 year old ninja on loan at a club like Chelsea. People are too dimwitted to realize that it could actually be a blessing in disguise as he would wind up with more playing time and would return a better player most likely! Even if he had stayed where is the playing time he woulda had as we all know about RA's man crush on Torres! Even Sturridge that's higher up the pecking order has hardly had playing time so where does hope lie for Lukaku?

Highlighting a failing does NOT imply an improvement. If one of RDM's failings was letting Lukaku go on loan thereby overworking the remaining striker for example, how do you 'see improvement' when the same Lukaku is still on loan?
What is wrong with Kermit the Frog? So when you highlight something do you highlight for the phock of it or to improve where the other person failed? Abi which kin nonsense example you dey give sef? Lukaku is gone so what is Sturridge? A goalkeeper? Victor Moses nko?
