My advice: Priority is most advised because this standard visa waiting time dy rise BP.

You’ll need an airport transit visa which is only about €80 but you’ll need to apply then go to VFS, submit all necessary documents and do biometrics. All this must be done at least 2 weeks prior.

My confusion now is that I have been seeing £210 pounds as price for the test package on this thread. Pls am I doing something wrong or has the price for the test package been reduced.

The providers are different
I got mine for £99
My brother is going on holiday and got his for £79
Most of the cheaper providers are sold out
As you would expect, supervised swabs at home will be more expensive than self swab at home which will be more expensive than supervised swab in clinic and that is in turn more expensive than self swab in clinic.

At the moment, I strongly advice against this as you’ll need to apply for an air port transit visa even if you’re not stepping out of the airport. This can’t be done online so you have to use VFS and go for biometrics.
It’s not worth it (my opinion) I booked virgin. BA is a good option as well.

As at the time my sister was booking, assisted service gave us an earlier date for appointment in comparison to the self service.

University of Greenwich within 10 days.

True but East London ranking isn’t the best and if you check students reviews…. You might have a change of heart. I left my admission there.

It's either you get a self-service or an assisted service date on the booking schedule depending on which is available for a date suitable for you.
Avoid that agent in future.

Nah, I understand and you’re right nothing is compulsory but read it again, his agent said he should do assisted service to get an earlier biometric date…. Which is true. If you do self service…. The biometric dates are farther. Let’s try to understand first

So it’s a bit tricky. Here’s why I said this, I didn’t use any schools address and I got my visa. I used my aunts address but please not that it’s on their system that this is where I stay every time I go to the Uk on holiday, so it wasn’t strange, all my previous visa applications always had my aunts address.

I personally don’t think you should run into any problems with that but I don’t know if it’s somewhere you’ve been. However my situation is a bit different so I can’t say for certain that it doesn’t matter.

If it bothers you so much, consider paying 8500 to change the address.

You should be able to know if you can meet the conditions. I was certain I could meet my conditions & I did.

In as much as we are in a hurry for September intake, we need to take some precautions. There are rules guiding this student visa. The timing is very important because each documents has it's own time.TB,pof, Cas. The Proof of fund is supposed to have settled for at least 28 days before your visa application. You cannot do your biometric without a visa application and you cannot do a visa application without meeting the proof of fund of 28days first, Any variance to this or you applied before pof is 28days is an automatic refusal. Same way lots of people were booking TB in april for sept/oct intake so earlier enough that the CAS was not out, they needed to then change the university. It should be one thing at a time, we won't waste resources ooo.
All these rushings are not required if one seized his time and plans ahead. Jan intake start now, sort schools and admission unconditional offer first, make your payment deposit for CAS, then TB, 28days can begin once others are complete, then apply after 28days within full 31 days of maturity of pof, I hate fire brigade approach, Check which one do you want to apply early, sept, Jan, may. You start on time. (My opinion)

Hmmmn while I get your point, I don’t necessarily agree. I had sorted out TB since March but didn’t get CAS till June. I think it’s better to plan early once you’ve made a decision however it goes without saying that first things should be done first

I wanted to know if this is an issue. After paying my tuition with remainder £50, I’m supposed to have 9257 in my account which I put in at the rate of 600 to a pound. When talking to the school rep just now she said I should have calculated at black market rate of 700. Oanda is currently 573 which means I have 27naira room for fluctuations. I want to know, if I apply for the visa will they say that the funds is not enough or by Oanda rate of that day it’s okay.

There are a few schools in your price range but I only know of Hull and I think it’s just September 2021 & January 2022 intake.

However, many schools will ask of 35-50% of fees by enrolment

I am not sure you properly digested what I wrote. What's sentimental about a process I have used my self and for others. I never said you shouldn't have enough money or add buffers. Sometimes even the buffer people provide doesn't cut it. It's good for folks to know what to if and when certain things happen.

The rule to proof of fund is to show clearly how you did set aside the required funds, some people actually use a letter of explanation to provide average figures, some use the exchange rate on the last day or even the first day. Just let them know how you calculated your PoF.

By the time it's August and people run into different kinds of hitch, this might be helpful.

Go back to your initial post; paragraph 3…. Not verbatim but You inferred “ the rate you used was the one on the day you set the funds aside.

While you never used the term sentiments; it will be sentimental for someone to think because it dropped on the 18th day, the Visa officer would ignore it.
Also 2013, 2017 & 2021…… a lot has happened and evolved since then.

Again, To each his own. …. People can follow any advice they want.
