Just to add, General rule of thumb when booking flights... Tuesdays and Wednesday are days you would find the cheapest tickets while Fridays and Sundays tend to be very expensive days to fly, Mondays and Thursdays follow closely on next cheap days

So does it mean it's adviceable to do priority visa for main applicant while dependants do standard visa, since decision will be made for all same day instead of priority visa for main applicant and dependants.

Cos am planning to do priority visa for main and dependant as well.

Unfortunately those are the prices as the dates are closer. KLM is cheaper so you might want to consider applying for an airport transit visa. Check the KLM site for more info.

PLEASE For those flying to the uk soon, I was informed that if u enter the uk through a connecting flight (i.e not a direct flights) You will be quarantined at a hotel and u will pay for the hotel bills{which is more than a thousand pounds), please verify properly before booking your flight. Applies to anyone flying through any country on the red list. If you’re flying through Morocco for instance, as at the time of this post; you’ll only need to quarantine at home. However, it’s important to know countries can move from Amber to red or red to green or green to Amber (and vice versa) in an instant. Safest option is to book a direct flight

Isn't there a database for Nigerians too? There's a software they use...at least i was captured, my fingerprints taken and it was uploaded. Then a QR code generated which was stuck on a card with the explanation that when scanned, my identity will be verified.
This is not to suggest that those who took in Nigeria will quarantine or not quarantine though...just contributing.

There’s a general database & then there’s the nhs. The Uk can only ascertain the nhs one hence why it’s those who receive both doses there that are exempt

According to the gov website, yes if you are fully vaccinated (you have collected 2 doses) you do not need to self isolate, the vaccine you would get in most vaccination centers in Nigeria is the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine and as far as I know, that vaccine is also administered in the UK so if you have collected 2 doses, you should be good to go.

As for the covid test, I'd leave it to the experienced people, the knowledge I have is based on what I've read online not experience

I’ve been fully vaccinated but I need to quarantine. It’s only when you’ve been vaccinated by the NHS that it apples.

Exactly what I meant and you can get your application moving. People forget that time is money, where you can speed up a process and you have the means…. I’m an advocate for that Abeg lol.

I applied 3rd of June and the rush wasn’t epic then yet I did priority. On the long run, it saved me some money because I was able to get a reasonable flight ticket and a cheap Amber arrival test kit.

Morocco is on the Amber list so you’re safe. But guys, be careful because countries can be placed on the red list anytime without prior notice. While you’re trying to save money, if you do a red list country; you’ll spend that money quarantining at a hotel (paid for by you £1500 at least)

You can’t leave Nigeria without filling it I believe.
You won’t pay for it but it might ask you to pay for a covid test which might be required by the country you’re going. It gives options on the health providers in various states and the prices

I did my biometrics on Friday June 18th June (priority) and got my visa within 4days. My dependents did their biometrics on Monday June 21 (standard) but application is still at DMC. Please has anyone experience delay in visa approval for dependent and how long did it take? I read most times dependent visa and primary applicant visa come at the same time.

It’s peak period so it’s expected. For standard, it’s 15 working days which hasn’t elapsed. Just be patient.

The closing balance still covers the tuition balance and maintenance fee and it has never for once fall short.

I wanted to print another statement on Monday to upload as I have paid for priority visa. Although the school stated I can use the statement I submitted before July 10 but my biometric date is on July 12.

I am a January intake that was denied visa in February because my sponsor did not reply to the confirmation email sent to them( God factor). The God factor set in because I thought I can not be denied because I am a state sponsored student but God showed me his existence. Someone from the chief of staff office saw the email from the embassy but decided to look away because she thought the letter is not genuine.

The school decided to issue me a new CAS after a new letter of introduction was issued by the said state government. In all I give God the glory.

I saw a post about day five test and that allows me to move around but I have to still do test 8. I just clicked the link and saw really cheap test kits, is that the cost for just one day?

Day 5 is a test to release. You’ll pay extra for that apart from the day 2 & day 8 price.
Also many of the cheap test are sold out. It’s not too early to book if you’ve confirmed travel dates for this month or early next.

The UK has grouped countries into zones and different zones have different requirements. The zones are Green, Red and Amber and they have various requirements
Nigeria is on the Amber list and for countries on the Amber list are required to do a day 2 & day 8 covid test on arrival into the UK.

These test are offered by so so many providers and can be sold individually and more often as a package.
