I am following same route and submitted my application for Msc. under BCU on 12th of June, hoping it is not too late to meet up September 2021 entry. I have no idea when i will get the offer but i am being positive about it. My present concern is all these delays peepz are experiencing and the timing of my application.

While it looks like there’s no time, there’s still some time. How long does BCU take to get out offers? Is it just BCU you applied to ?

In the interim you can check out your options
Book a tentative date for TB test online
Start putting aside your funds now

The reason I say this is, if you’re fortunate enough to get an appointment for your TB Test for July end, it’s still decent time. Once your offer is out & you have your funds counting and test date
The rest is going to be smooth.

Let me state this here cos I see a lot around conversion rate. When you set aside money for 28 days. Go to OANDA and print your conversion rate.

Back in 2013, when I applied, the money I set aside for 28 days didn't cut it by the 28th day. Exchange rate had taken off a bit out of it. There was no time to do another round. So what I did was to print the OANDA rate on the day I set aside the funds. It was clearly the requires amount.

The officials are not unreasonable people. I think it was 2017 that exchange rate pulmet to unthinkable levels, I gave this hack to someone and he got his visa like I did.

No matter how much buffer you have, if the Naira goes on free fall, it won't cut it. Hence, what's most important is the currency equivalence on the first day you start counting your 28 days. Ensure it is what is required.

Where possible, add enough buffer! We have seen people be refused for this exact same thing so why take chances.

Many schools tell your explicitly that the amount required must not drop, not even for a second and then you’re saying it’s the day you set aside. THATS NOT TRUE! I can agree with the day you submit but not the day you set aside….

Again, where possible, add more money to your POF to be on the safe side. In may, we literally saw the rise and fall of the naira even on Oanda.

If you’re paying with a dollar card nope. Some were charged $512 for visa fee, I was charged $514
Exchange rate!

Your visa will carry a validity date & that’s the earlier time you can leave … it’s usually a month before your course start date.

It’s usually done online but dates are far (so I’ve heard)
Since you’re in Abuja, I’ll suggest you go to their office and book manually… there is no time to waste

Your friend can send straight into his dorm account or can send via WU & you pay it into the account via cash deposit. You’ll need a card attached to that account so you can pay your visa & IHS fees.

It appears a lot of UK schools are overwhelmed with the number of applications (they have mostly been slow) and you would expect schools like Hull to be very very overwhelmed due to the attractive cost of attendance. Try another school if it’s not too late already/

I attached it along side my bank statements. The statement had more money in the closing balances but I took the lowest amount & used.

Coventry university can be awfully slow. Mine took 5 weeks or so.

I used two accounts, I also did priority and got my visa without any issues.

I also included a table with: bank name, lowest amount, conversion of minimum balance maintained over 28 days to GBP and total amount that had been help in GBP.

That’s what I would expect , to get it started. Divorce processes in Nigeria can be tedious . However, what she needs is a decree absolute. A Decree Nisi doesn’t end a marriage, it just shows that petitioner is entitled to divorce and court is satisfied because a Nisi can still be appealed within 3 months of issue . The Nisi is deemed absolute after 3 months if the judge won’t issue an absolute , they state It there.

I say this because I saw in a UK spouse visa group where a person was asked to provide their absolute after she submitted only the Nisi.

You’re absolutely correct. She can go ahead and do her application alone while starting the process. Hopefully she’s able to finish before the end of her program cos at it is, she might have to move the wedding. I wish her all the best

Wow , divorce letter in a local govt ? How , when and why pls ? It’s easy to actually identify a fake divorce letter , very easy . UKVI isn’t stupid . What judge would sign it ? What judge would affix their personal stamp and seal . Pls don’t advise Anyone to do this , they’d get caught and get banned . I can spot a fake divorce letter anywhere , now imagine an immigration officer . Each page of that divorce decree will have an originality stamp of the judge , CTC stamp of the high court . The high court is the proper place and to get a divorce from a statutory marriage , you need to institute an action in court as the petitioner and respondent. The court has to be satisfied that the marriage has irretrievably broken down.

Just so you know , Lagos state has a filing system that makes it easy to verify validity of documents . Court documents authenticity can be verified easily pls .

Divorce decrees are only granted in court and not by local governments. One has to file a formal petition to dissolve a marriage and a lawyer will have to be involved. No other way to dissolve a marriage validly contracted under the Marriage Act.

The delay in the issuance of CAS for most universities is due to a record number of applications. Even University of Glasgow as prestigious as it is haven't sent my CAS. Issuance begins tomorrow

If you can meet all the conditions & you produce legit documents. You do not hide anything or lie on your application, I see no reason why you won’t get your visa??

Start with getting admission, fulfilling the admission conditions (if any), precas stages & getting your CAS

Proof of fund for London =
School fees (minus any deposit paid) + £12006 (living expenses for London)

Proof of fund for outside London=
School fees (minus any deposit paid) + £9207 (living expenses for outside London )

It’s not always $512. It’s actually £348 and due to exchange rate…. The dollar equivalent might change. I was charged $514. My point is the dollar equivalent is subject to change.

If you're referring to mobile app, I have two GTB Apps before now, only my GTWorld do generate a stamped statement.

Online either via GT world or internet banking.

Good afternoon all. I’ve been a silent follower of this thread and finally I’ve a question to ask, will be glad if y’all can help out. My husband just got a conditional offer from Coventry which includes 28 days bank statements. We were actually waiting for the offer before running the account (for visa application purpose) but now that the school is making it a condition we won’t be able to meet their condition deadline which is 9th August. I don’t know if there’s any way out of this or any suggestions from you guys, we are so worried and confused. Don’t know what to do, your ideas will definitely go a long way. Thank you!

Hi! I’m confused. If you start counting 28days now. You will be ready by July ending.
If you’re sure, initiate form A payment ASAP & start counting 28days ASAP.
You can do these from two separate accounts so they don’t interfere or if you have excess funds, from the same account. I hope this helps

This is not true! Gtb statement generated online is stamped and signed so it Is accepted!

House please my friend is in pains today as Bedfordshire refuse to issue CAS after his credibility interview was not successful on the ground that he did tell them his previous visa refusal and could answer most of the questions.

Will this report of the interview be sent to the embassy.
Will it affect his chances for visa
Will it affect his chances of getting other admission

Without the CAS, the person can’t apply for a visa. Except they get CAS from a different institution.

Let’s be very open & encourage our friends to be open with prior immigration issues & give explanations when necessary, it helps.
