I find the line of reasoning about Utomi being an intellectual and therefore not fitting to rule Nigeria self-defeating and not properly considered. I am sometimes mystified about what some Nigerians really want. Do we still want to be ruled by dim-witted individuals? If Utomi’s only blemish is the fact that he is an intellectual, maybe I might consider voting for him. |
Cha Cha Cha - umu igbo kwenu, Mba5, (ABU - Aba brought up) |
Rio is the better of the 2. Terry is a very good premiership player, but Rio is close to being world class, if he puts his mind to it. |
Nice one Kola - He will be missed. A true legend |
RENOWNED businessman, Mike Adenuga, has been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). He was said to have been taken away from his Victoria Island, Lagos home on Sunday and flown to Abuja where he was still being held last night for yet unspecified reasons. http://www.guardiannewsngr.com/news/article03/110706 The Economic and Finan-cial Crimes Commission (EFCC), arrested yesterday business mogul, Otunba Mike Adenuga, as part of ongoing investigations into the activities of the Petroleum Equalisation Fund (PEF). http://www.thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=52837 |
@Kola - Thanks Bros, I guess he was joking @slimnike - lol, I hope you visit my stall one day @bagoma - long time, I have gone part time, unless when Bros Kola wants me around, |
@osteen Thanks, but can you please translate what you have just written. ENGLISH - if you don't mind! |
From what I have seen so far in Germany, Arjen Robben is going to have a tough time holding on to his diving title at Chelsea. With Michael Ballack and Andriy Shevchenko teaming up with renowned divers like Drogba and Joe Cole, Robben will surely not have it easy. ![]() |
I will love to see the stats that back this up, (Re: Why Is Thierry Henry Mediocre In Major Tournaments?), and maybe compare it with other great players |
When people are full of envy they disparage everything, whether it be good or bad. |
@mizkay :-) Guess I will, It’s turning into a siege |
Igbo this, Igbo that, boy, cant we just have a break? |
@seun, Fair enough, but Walmart/ASDA whatever, isnt a massive global brand. Popular in America yes, finding their feet in the UK via ASDA granted. But they don't make the list of the top 100 global brands. So I wouldnt use them as an example. |
I think we are missing the point. My understanding is that someone will like to bring a Mc D franchise to Nigeria, and the question is whether this will be profitable. Of course it will, lets get real… |
Mc-D will be a hit in Nigeria. Don’t worry about whether what they sell sucks. Most Nigerians by nature like to associate with brands. And Mc-D is one brand they will mostly yell for. The other brands listed are like your average “Kizzie Fried Chicken” that you will find along Romford Road in East London – Shoddy and poor imitations of the real thing. Nigerians are getting by with these poor brands, because they don’t have a better choice PERIOD. |
Serbia and Argentina will go thru. The Ivorians will just miss out. Holland will be home quite soon - My head talking, My Heart - I would love to see the Ivorians go thru, and maybe win it, |
Not sure who was more wasteful, but I know which one didn’t fulfil his promise - Etim ‘Maradona’ Esin. Was there a better player during his time? I don’t think so. |
I agree it should be solely for champoins. If we had such a format, last year would have been Chelsea's first ever Champions league outing, |
Tax them, I say, |
Nigerian voters don't actually know that senators are supposed to be their representatives. It's sad!Good point Seun, and it is one of the MANY problems. Your forum could serve to educate those that either dont know or dont care. |
What do you think of the name "Adamu"? It will attract both Ibos (out of hatred)Are you for real ![]() |
Do Nigerians care about those that represent them? |
Gotta go with Abuja - Not the domestic end. Shockingly empty - I mean shops and the lot. The other airports are more or less like bus (coach) stations, |
This is my view. If he finds a comparable job in Canada, he will probably earn about 2-3 times that amount. But at the same time he will also have huge expenses. He will also have to deal with the other issues like settling down in a new country etc. To put it briefly, I will advice him not to bother, unless he has a ‘nailed’ job in Canada. His current position will count for nothing if he has to look for a new job from scratch. |
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/5004366.stm Funny when OBJ's recently acquired jet can’t seem to make 2 successful trips, and the PM of Great Britain doesn’t even have one. President Kufuor described the $16m jet as "wasteful and frivolous". |
I thought I will never see the day when Chelsea started signing pensioners again. I know they are called the pensioners, but I thought the era of the Gianluca Vialli, Gullit and a host of others guys who came to Chelsea to draw a pension was history. We now hear talk of Roberto Carlos and Shevchenko, together with the signing of Ballack. Old habits just never die at the bridge. |
Sports encyclopaedia and seems like a nice guy too, Has his views and isnt easily swayed. One of the guys I will like to meet and chat about the few things we dont agree on. |
