CrimeIs It Legal In Nigeria To Beat Your Wife? by ababoy1(op): 8:18pm On Apr 08, 2006
I don’t know how many of you in the UK read the Daily Mail. I don’t, but my attention was brought to an article on Page 19 of today’s Daily Mail (Sat 8th April, 2006).

The Column “Platell’s People” has an article on Damilola Taylor – “Sorry, Mr Taylor, but Britain’s not THAT bad”.

Anyway, she goes on to say “In Nigeria, wife-beating is legal, child labour widespread, health care nonexistent and the criminal justice system is deeply corrupt”

Is wife-beating legal in Nigeria? If it is not then an apology from Ms Amanda Platell will be in order.

CareerRe: Alumni Associations: Why Do We Create Them? by ababoy1(m): 9:43pm On Mar 30, 2006
I can only speak of my alumni and say that as a networking tool it has been terrific. We have a UK branch, and boy do we have fun. We also have a number of scholarship schemes going on, and we are also undertaking a number of capital intensive projects back at our school. Here in the UK, we have an exceptional welfare policy, and we always join forces to support members in need. A few days ago, we set up, under a couple of hours, a forum similar to this – all for less than £50 (SMF is free). We picture online interaction as a further means to increase our alliance. My Alumni is FGC Ikot-Ekpene, and our forum can be found at http://www.fgcik.net/forum

With Abacha, at least you knew you were dealing with a ruthless military dictator. With OBJ you have a gutless dictator masquerading as a democrat. There lies the difference.

TravelRe: Should I Come Back To This Hopeless Nigeria? by ababoy1(m): 10:28am On Mar 11, 2006
I'll keep it simple.

Go back, and if you really MUST in the US or anywhere in the western world, do it legally,

The worst way to live you life over here is illegally. You will always be looking over your shoulders, and the fine life you crave may just pass you by.

@IjebuMan
Even Nigeria self is wonderful if you're on holiday there for just 2 weeks.
You nailed it, At least 4 me.

If you say so. I am tuned into TalkSport Radio & all the Chelski fans that are ringing in are having a pop. Most of them dont understand how £200 cant buy them a place in the finals,
