PoliticsRe: Jonathan Breaks Silence - El-Rufai Lied On Independence Expenditure by abagoro(m): 7:33pm On Oct 04, 2015
Abugab:
2010 celebration is still fresh in our memories as it was billions spent for Naija @50. Why did Sulaiman not make the 2010 & 2011 costs available?
10 billion naira was spent on the celebration and that is why Sulaiman has refused to tell Nigerians the cost.
He is the one telling lies and not El Rufai.
Must he come out and defend even the undefendable?
We argued it out here on Nairaland and Jonathan's apologists were arguing 10billion was too small in 2010. Maybe they are suffering from memory loss.

Outright falsehood Mr Spokesman. I am sure 6.6 billion was used in 2010 alone.

Obasanjo is just as big a thief as Jonathan is, if not bigger. What happened to all the funds that were allocated to electricity and roads during his tenure?

Obj is only better at covering his tracks than Jonathan plus sentiment is on his side.
Obasanjo is an American front in Africa. The battle is American interest and its impossible to escape their wrath. Jonathan was very wise to concede defeat and escape the almighty American hammer but they might still want to deal with him.

I pity the kind of torture this innocent young man will go through. The worst is that those who lost relatives might want to harm him for vengeance ir consolation.

We should all be careful when making indictive statements.
PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by abagoro(m): 2:20pm On Oct 04, 2015
MrEverest:
In as much as I see that as a problem and not also holding forth for the musicians, I believe its all about trying to maximize optimal business profit. If you say our musician brothers are moving to Lagos then I will agree with you but to say they are moving to the west is a bit uncharitable to them. I don't think their is any known Igbo musician who is based in Ibadan, Akure, Ijebu ode, Ekiti or whatever aside Lagos. To ask why they are moving to Lagos is like asking why American actors are moving to Hollywood instead of staying in Iowa or why Indian actors are moving to Mumbai instead of staying in Punjab region undecided undecided Its all about market strategy, synergy, business prospects, market forces et al. With all the headquarters of Banks, telecommunications, Oil companies and several other business domiciled in Lagos do you think it will be easy for them to get endorsement deals or become brand ambassadors if they are not physically available in a dog-eat-dog industryhuh On the relocation of the movie industry out of Enugu, you have to blame movie producers and marketers who incidentally are dominated by Igbos and some blame also goes to the Enugu state government because it was the Delta state government through R.M.D as the commissioner of Tourism that brought Nollywood to Asaba(which I'm not against since Asaba is equally an Igbo city) and also because Asaba is now more or less a suburb of Onitsha where majority of the marketers are domiciled.
Nollywood is presently an Owerri thing not Asaba as some have erroneously thought and the new permanent Nollywood city is already in the pipeline. Its a win win situation.

http://sunnewsonline.com/new/nollywood-city-underway-in-imo/

The music industry on the other hand is divided. The pop or general music is a Lagos affair as it is a melting point of Nigeria but Igbos have genres that are strictly fir Igbos and they remain a Southeastern affair. These include but not limited to Egwu Ekpili, Bongo, Abigbo, Igbaeze, Highlife etc

einsteino:
a man should answer for his crimes. be That man an APC or PDP man but how many britons have answered for their crimes against nigeria, particularly the state of britain in the colonial times? i don't see why we should surrender a governor to a foreign authority, it isn't a question of APC or PDP, The man was a governor of a Nigerian state and should only be tried and sentenced in Nigeria. The brits wouldn't surrender such a person to a foreign authority.
I hate the insult we Africans get from the West but I guess its all our fault.
PoliticsRe: Do You Still Remember This Wonderful Woman? Picture. by abagoro(m): 8:36am On Oct 04, 2015
Its nearly impossible to find them now as they must have been used and married off to BH men. A handful might have died or brainwashed as well. Jonathan's inaction is to be blamed for all these. Had he taken it serious at least most of them would have been found..

u should be ashamed of urself. If u go through my comments in politics section, u will see I am anti Jonathan to the core. But that will not deter me from speaking the truth when I see it. U have not visited imo state for the past 6 months and here u are spewing utter rubbish. U are completely devoid of any semblance of truth and sincerity. I will not engage u again on this.
I can't visit because the last FG left Southeast and Southsouth roadless. My annoyance with most of you is selective blame. Imo is better than most States in the East but you want to sell falsehood to the ignorant. At least 20 people have died in Anambra and more than 300 houses destroyed by flood this past 2 months but Chino1 came here to compare with Imo where no death from flood has been recorded.

I have no qualms if same is applied to all Igbo States.

Very Simple Rochas Has a Strong following in the north than any current Igbo candidate Alive, If Rochas can strike an accord with SW gurus e.g Tinubu,OBJ and also gain 90% votes in South South I think it's feasible..

But,
1) I'm not too sure if SouthSouth will give an Igbo President the kind of support we gave them in 2015,
2) Lol I don't know if the Yorubas will trust an Igbo President.. (Tho the hatred might just be online tho)

well it all depends...My opinion tho
The truth is that Buhari will continue 2019 unless he voluntarily opts out. Yorubas don't hate Igbos at all but we are competitors in all aspects of positive achievements. Only the stupiid ones view competition as hate. Yorubas and other Nigerians will support a detribalised Igbo man for President.

Buhari has failed this country! Since coming to power it has been from one bomb blast to the other and one bad news to the other. This is a man that vowed to clear BH in two months but more thab 4months we see no success. I will continue to maintain that Buhari and APC are unfit for leadership and are bent Ón putting Nigerians through pains and mournings with their deliberate misgovernance and acute cluelessness to issues affecting Nigerians. Nigeria bleed under this administration.

RIP to the victims!
After 3 years we can pass judgement but unlike Jonathan, Buhari has a direction.

am pretty much sure whoever it is that is behind the arrest is either being partial in this case supporter of the opposition or doesn't know the rule of law.. every witness say or explain whatever they have witnessed or thier own side of the story. i have never heard of witness being arrested in a democratic settings just because he is perceived to be a false witness, not even when the judgement is against him. I love to see democracy in Nigeria, but i must say this doesn't look like one.

Is Ibadan bigger than Port Harcourt, like the PH and suburbs of Oyigbo, Eleme, and Igwuruta down to PHIA??
Ibadan is larger than greater Port Harcourt. Its about the size of the undeveloped parts of Eleme, Oyigbo added to all the already developed suburb of Port Harcourt.

@Abagoro et al my question is: can an African community run a successful company. This is considering the kind of division and crude politics in our communities. Are we into communism? Is this kind of idea practicable or just unrealistic? Has this kind of idea ever worked any where in the world? Let's discuss pls.
I think what community can do is co-operative farming and food processing. Industries should be left to those in the field.

Lol.
N5 billion divided by 637 communities = N 784,929.36.
Well, every community must first provide water to run the industry with this amount. What is left after that to build the industry?
Forget about the water stuff for now. No Southern State still provides water for citizens. Its a past tense in history.

I think he should rather offer the soft loans to established private industries for expansion.
