I concur. Those defending these people have not sat down to think of the gravity of that national sabotage. If it was a military regime they would have been hung and buried long ago.

ohaneneze is a bunch of old men
........they have out lived their usefulness......everybody should just mind his state because this igbo unity is a flop
So what platform has been launched by respectable Igbos to replace Ohaneze? The truth is that Igbos had serious ego pamper and trauma resulting from Jonathan's politics and eventual loss which we can easily get over by working with the rest of Nigeria.

In as much as I agree based on several instances that Igbo unity has never worked, we still need a respectable platform comprising of successful men and elder Statesmen to always intervene in Igbo issues.
PoliticsRe: Okorocha Wades Into Ohanaeze Crisis by abagoro(m): 10:40am On Feb 10, 2016
Back to topic. Ohaneze's inability to close ranks and work together has had a negative impact on peace and development of Igboland. A lot of national issues could have a better dimension if Ohaneze was organised enough to intervene.

My take is that they should let the Ngwa man continue. Otti is from Bende and they've ruled from 1999 to 2015. Within Ikpeazu's few months And now has a direction.

Your opinion which has no relevance with what will actually happen. I will wait for his budget for next year and pass a judgement after a full year of his presidency.
Going by what we have seen so far, I will rate him 6 out of 10. Fingers crossed.
Cramjones got it right with regards to economy. Nigeria failed to harness the oil boom to diversify our economy and there is nothing Buhari can do except pray that oil prices appreciate for him to invest in diversification.

However the change I am expecting and which is still possible is reducing corruption. He should focus on anti corruption as that is what 90% of his supporters want.

He should work towards improvement in power sector

I agree with you that Igbo country will have challenges like Nigeria and being in Nigeria helps check the excesses of many groups which will break lose in their Utopic Biafra.

Engine oil seller, customers cheat death as mystery fire razes shop in Umuahia

By Steve Oko On 17/11/2015 11:24:12 PM But for providence, a road side engine oil dealer and his customers would have been roasted to death Tuesday night in Umuahia Abia State when his shop suddenly went up in flames. The make- shift  shop located near a filling station at Umuwaya by Kaduna Street was completely razed down by the inferno which occurred around 7:pm.  An eyewitness told The Authority in Umuahia that the owner of the shop was busy attending to customers when suddenly fire erupted from the shop. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained as at the  time of filing this report. Another eyewitness  said the fire emanated from the exhaust pipe of  a tricycle popularly known as KEKE when the operator who had come to buy engine oil wanted to drive off. It took  the combined efforts of fire fighters and residents in the neighborhood to put out the fire which was sending large columns of thick smoke into the atmosphere.  Although no life s lost, about 12 drums of oil packed in the shop were said to be completed gulled by the fire which caused panic in the capital city as residents mistakenly took it to be an explosion. This is happening barely one year the filing  station by the side of the shop caught fire while a truck laden with petrol was discharging its products.

He was only told to post beautiful pictures instead of searching for ugly scenes to show. This thread has mostly the good side of Enugu and those familiar with Enugu know that many of those roads being repeatedly posted here have dilapidated over time. I was in Enugu earlier in the year and made the observation but I refused to come here and post them as a way of ridiculing Enugu. I will only write it out and then move on. When I get something beautiful from Enugu I will post. Thats the spirit I want among Igbos which many of you have refused to see because of Jonathan/Buhari politics. If we want to criticise our fellow Igbo States we can do that without pictures and most importantly at the right quaters not on Nairaland.

Whether critics of Buhari like it or not, it is now obvious that Boko Haram is on the verge of being totally annihilated. IMHO by year end all that will be left is a mop up of less than 500 diehard fighters who might even die of hunger in the forest. I'm proud of supporting Buhari in every way I could and already seeing how positive the nation is headed. God bless Nigeria

PoliticsRe: Live Photos From Indigenous People Of Biafra Members Protest In Owerri. by abagoro(m): 12:41am On Nov 07, 2015
The OP is being clever by half by including traders in his picture to give a crowdy impression. That's at Owerri market and the traders were going about there normal businesses while a few jobless people were carrying cardboard paper and flags. This my picture gives a clearer view. Imo State is peaceful and we love other Nigerians whom we intermarry with and accomodate.

PoliticsRe: Why It Is Illogical To Claim That 'PDP' Destroyed Nigeria For Sixteen Years by abagoro(m): 12:19pm On Nov 06, 2015
richeso:
Son, There's 1 fact we can not trow away. If the president say YES, Everyone will not completely say YES else the Senate will not have review Buhari ministerial nominees. there are rule of law and system of gov even the president MUST Abide by some rules and if the system is working against him instead of supporting him , son there is no way he can perform better. this is a simple fact i know very much, from the unset They never wanted GEJ there, there was no better option then and GEJ was the Vice President, they only allow his 4yrs just to arrange things and also making sure all his efforts towards positive change is destroyed so they can trow him out not to rule another 4yrs and bring back the power to North. all GEJ period , the northerners did not support him, in the elites and cabals zone 99% are Northerners.. many northerners voted GEJ out not because he is not good to them but because he is not a Northerner else you might want to tell me amidst all the good things he did for the north yet the north has the highest number of votes that push him out...

About Party and People... You could have said GEJ, OBJ, Bla bla bla is corrupt ( After Court judgement Ofcourse ) then i will not respond to your bla bla bla.. but if you said PDP is corrupt without mentioning names you are WRONG. because you call PDP to hide the People of PDP.
so what if all gov and even GEJ decamp to APC.. who then is the PDP we are talking? Ghosts ?

Also to rap it up..I will assume you as a owner of a car who drives a group of students to school, you drove them safely not because you are an expert driver or so good at what you do but because there was CO-OPERATION Amidst the process else if majority of this students are against you there is no way you can get a safe ride because they will do everything to make the Minority think you are not a good driver and Of-course they will succeed..why ? they the majority is from the North, driver is from the south. 80% of the nations high offices are of this majority.

If there is no Co-operation there is no way even GOD can make things work for good unless killing everyone..

In the case of GEJ..i will say to you that "Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself will not stand."
I don't believe anyone was against Jonathan like you are trying to paint here. Most Nigerians knew that power must return to North in 2015 including Jonathan himself but some greedy people advised him into contesting instead of PDP fielding Lamido/Amaechi as proposed by OBJ. You see he brought problems upon himself by going against the will of the world and agreement in PDP.
PoliticsRe: You’re The Greatest Enemy Of Igbo Race – Okorocha Blasts Uwazuruike by abagoro(m): 12:10pm On Nov 06, 2015
Anybody making secessionist moves without putting into consideration the likely death of more than 15million Igbos scattered across other parts of Nigeria who would be declared enemies and slaughtered does not have Igbo interest at heart. A true Igbo lover should support things that will bring Igbos back to Igboland to invest.

Heard his from Imo State, little wonder he acts out his frustration of his deplorable state on this thread.

Pls I mean no harsh words to the imolites.
Ugly women always lack manners and think good of themselves. I don't blame you. Do you want to see the ugly side of Enugu here? You people are quick to condemn other people's state but yours is probably the least developed in Igboland. That Imo State Governor joined APC and PDP employed washing dirty linen in public does not mean Imo is not better than most states.

I don't believe in washing our dirty linen in public no matter the political differences but I warn you never ever to dare talk down on Imo again or I will let the Yorubas and other Nigerians know the true situation in Enugu State.

The picture below is Ugwu Aro. Would you like to have closer look at the streets?

I must agree with you here!.Tell me who is a SAINT among Nigeria's Polithiefians!...not even one!.Kalu was very rich before he became a Governor, but not to the level after he left govt!.
I'm glad you understood my point. If Igbos want to punish their own, it should be on strictly Igbo platform and the person's view has to be known before castigating. Why we keep loitering politically is because we engage in open internal battle. Others have theirs too but its shielded amongst them for ethnic interest.

Ask Abia people what this guy did to Abia State. Such a person would not even be considered by any proper Igbo nationalist so I don't know why people are asking this same person who has entered the Forbes list by cheating and stealing from Igbo children to come and "invest" in the same lands he left barren. It is under this man that Aba became the urban disaster that it is now and which it is trying to recover from. He is the same one that funded the destabilisation of Abia through kidnapping because he failed to keep control of the other thief TA.

Please, talk better thing like how can the Igbo people collectively remove demons like Orji or use them to the advantage of the Igbo people in some kind of subversive way. This guy is simply worse than all your northern and so on so called enemies that you say are hindering your advancement.
This kind of attack against a fellow Igbo is what pitches me against other Igbos and they say I'm anti-Igbo. Igbos like pulling down their own for no just cause. He did his best as Abia Governor though not good enough but yet who is better? Orji Kalu changed Nigerian league and infact made Enyimba the most popular and successful Nigerian club of all time. Nobody has come close to his records in sports. His business success preceded his emergence as Governor for the records.

6. 1 football field.

Akpabio the former governor was unable to get any decent hospital or clinic in his richest state in Nigeria to wrap bandage around around his leg hence jetting to london for bandage..

...but he left his people an empty building with rented and taken away equipment he labeled hospital..
In as much as Akpabio wasn't a success, he did a lot of infrastructural developments mainly in Uyo and Ikot-Ekpene and they far outnumber what you wrote up there.

You are right about that but equally wrong as many roads have sidewalks in Owerri. Same with most other cities. The issue is that majority of the inner streets are without sidewalks.

PoliticsRe: On South South And Biafra...a Rivers-man View by abagoro(m): 11:20pm On Oct 15, 2015
HopeAtHand:
Igbos are the cause of the problems they have..There are many Yorubas in my neighbourhood, they hardly ever constitute a nuisance..they just carry themselves about in a very simple and cultured manner.

The Igbo man is willing to show himself capable of confrontation with anyone, and when one gets aggressive towards them they complain.

Igbos should watch themselves..they are almost completely disliked by other Nigerians and their insistence that Ikwerre is Igbo would take things to a new dimension soon.

How many in number are Asa and Ndoki to own all that land..rivers are basically the boundaries between people..If Oyigbo people feel neglected, they should channel their grievances through appropriate channels and not to embrace Biafra with open arms soiling other Riverians in the process...Rivers state has no business with Biafra and Asa/Ndoki should get ready to swim across Imo river to join their kith and kin if they're fed up being a part of Ruvers state.
Igbos are proud people and can make do with Southeast but politicians are misleading youths using propaganda to create an impending genocide against Igbos by a coalition of the rest of Nigeria. I don't see Ikwerre as Igbo but I know Ikwerre is Igbo speaking but it does not make Ikwerre my enemy. My mother is from Ikwerreland and I have done deep research and discovered Ikwerre have an ethnic dimension of their own which I concluded is irreversible. Most innocent Igbos don't know this. They think and believe Ikwerre is Igbo because of the language and names.

As for your open display of hatred, it doesn't reverse the fact that Ikwerre origin and language lies in Igbo hinterlands of Owerri and Arochukwu.

Someone like me becomes Gov. of Rivers, hmmmm Igbos will be on long thing..

That Oyigbo land belongs to Eleme and Ikwerre..Asa and Ndoki of less than 10 proper villages cannot own all that land in that local govt.

Igbos elements from all nooks and crannies of SEast have decided to turn Oyigbo into a sort of haven where Biafran fundamentalism is nurtured..

I suggest your people tread carefully...HISTORY ALWAYS REPEATS ITSELF...currently, most houses owned by Igbos have not been issued CofO ( and will not be issued)..it is a deliberate attempt, becos we envisage a second running from PH soon..
How could you tell such barefaced lie? Eleme has boundary with Ndoki while Etche has boundary with Asa who meet Ikwerre at Iriebe. I know Rivers too well to be lied to. Obigbo is purely Igboland and the indigenes have not yet denied it. The indigenes have suffered from neglect under Rivers State which informed their carrying Biafra issues with all their heart.
