No question about it.
A smartphone. |
TappGroupNG:Haven't seen photos taken with the camon series but heard they take great photos. |
TappGroupNG:Of course it is. Hear the name na BOOM ; a word for the sound an explosion makes. The phones even come with dedicated headphones so that you can enjoy the boom sounds when you listen to music ![]() |
asuustrike2009:In a nutshell you're saying between the ages of 6-15 they should get a dumb phone 15 and above she get a smartphone I like this. |
Prinzyy:Saw it for 75k on jumia few days ago. just budget between 70-80k |
NaijaTechGuy:China has very strict rules for their internet use Strict rules that apply to their citizens accessibility of Western web content, nothing to do with the rest of the world getting access to their goods and services. China is open to the world. Nigerians dey order from JD.com every other day. |
Rilwayne001:This is exactly how I say it, and there has never been a problem, at least not yet. Maybe one of this days I'll conveniently forget to put sir at the end and let me see what will happen. |
LecciGucci:Why would you give him your respect to keep for you? Now that he's lost it what are you gonna do? |
Iamdemola:They are. And it's funny how they are the less talked about models of Tecno phones. The camon and phantom models just be hugging the headlines tightly, an now the W5 have join them. Maybe it's because those ones are targeted at camera lovers while the boom series are for us the music aficionados. |
D4Daymoo:We all do. |
Boom j8 is a very good budget smartphone. Great design and spec for the price. |
NCP:Are you for real? That's about the same time they start saying "thank you" and "i'm sorry" and you want to put a smartphone in their hand? Common be serious ![]() |
We all know the advantages of having a smartphone. Kids could get access to a whole lot of apps that could help them learn whatever it is they want to learn. Having their their personal phones helps a lot when their parents and elder siblings try to reach them directly to find out where they are and what they a doing. You feel safe knowing that your kids are safe as well. In an emergency situation also, it's crucial that your kids is just a call or text away when they try to reach you or when you try to reach them. But with all these positives comes a handful of negatives as well. With a smartphone always at hand, kids also have access to social media, a variety of games that are really time-consuming, with a possibility of hitting those dreadful search words and find their way to a plethora of porn sites. Games are addictive and will take their time depriving them of rest, playtime and prevents them free doing their homework. And let's not get started on the jungle that is Social media. What do you guys think? How old should a child be to have their first mobile phone? |
NaijaTechGuy:You are obviously a tech guy so u should know this. On the issue of VR. VR isn't ground breaking anymore, where only a select few have access to the technology. The blueprint is out there already. There are a lot of generic VR headsets available. Tecno can easily outsource the hardware to one of the countless OEMs in China and put the Tecno branding on it. On the issue of AI, you think say e easy? if e easy why bigger brands like Samsung, Sony, Xiaomi and LG never dabble inside since. |
miqos02:I was replying within the context of the article; which is, Nokia gaining a foothold in the Nigerian market, not which brand is bigger. In Nigeria, which company has the biggest market share between Tecno and Apple? Take your time, I'll wait. Exactly. |
Very interesting read. But you fail to mention the only point where I think if they get right they'll compete (Not beat) with other OEMs In Nigeria. The small detail of pricing If the prices that is being bandied about turns out to be correct then they shouldn't bother coming to this shores. Hate em or Love em, that is one aspect Tecno has been getting right. Little wonder they stay winning. |
Proffdada:If it isn't gold plated then it's a no no |
Melvinsofty:lol... the thing tire me o. |
why every OEM dey release fones in this yeye gold color sef.
wetin happen to silver, space grey, white, black, jet-black |
MizMyColi:I've held both devices and trust me phantom 6 display trumps the 6+. Moving forward, Tecno should just stick with AMOLED on their flagships, even Apple will be dumping IPS soon. |
"We need to get off our high horses, quit whining and start doing — for ourselves and for our country " If the country doesn't owe us anything then we don't owe the country nothing as well. |
zealed64:Just because people use boomplayer u automatically assume they've never used musicmatch? Can you download any of Fela's Album on musicmatch? |
datyorubaboy:True that. |
The iris scanner is equally as effective as the fingerprint scanner if not more. It's good to see that Tecno are taking users privacy and security very serious. Long may it continue |
Tecno L8 it is. |
so we now see why most OEMS stick with Qualcomm. There are other equally capable chips out there. I.e kirin and mediatek |
Sadly we are a consuming nation. The exchange rates is a reason why you think they don't make affordable smartphones anymore. The entire Tecno W series are targeted at the budget segment. |
Na WA o. This guy is just claiming Tecno CEO everywhere. I'm beginning to think he's a nut job. |
This is really Cool. |
No wonder the package is huge, lots of accessories for a smartphone. |
googlepikins:If you read reviews of apps on the playstore you will never download any app. And I was apologizing to everyone there? I am not the developer of the app so why would I even do that? |
