SOUTH EASTERNERS BRAG TOO MUCH ABOUT HOW BETTER OR MORE EDUCATED THEY ARE BUT THE REALITY IS OPPOSITE.

RELIGIOUS PRACTICE BY DANGEROUS ULAMAS HAD HINDERED EDUCATION IN THE PAST, OVER POPULATED HOME, GREED FROM POLITICAL CLASS AND CULTURAL PRACTICE ARE ALL ODD AGAINST THE NORTH IN THE AREA OF EDUCATION. SUCH TRENDS ARE NOW CHANGING AS MORE AND MORE PEOPLE ARE NOW GETTING FREE EDUCATION EXPECT I ALLY IN NORTH WEST ( KATSINA). THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT SINCE WE HAVE THE PEOPLE'S GENERAL IN CHARGE OF OUR FUTURE IN NIGERIA

THESE STATES CONTRIBUTES ABOUT 75% TO GOVERNMENT EXPENDITURE WHICH MOSTLY GO BACK TO THE POCKET OF CORRUPT POLITICIANS.

THE ONLY REASONS WHY THESE AREAS ARE CONTRIBUTORS THE NATIONAL INCOME IS BECAUSE OF THE OFFSHORE OIL IN THESE AREAS.

IMAGINE HOW MUCH STATE LIKE KANO, KADUNA AND OYO CAN GENERATES THROUGH LARGE SCALE FARMING AND SERIOUS INDUSTRIALIZATION. THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE LEADERSHIP OF FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA

Education need to be put in place to get people the tools needed to build and sustain an advance society. You need education to know singing and shouting ll the time will not solve your problem, you need education to developed technology, mechanized agriculture, build cheap mass housing for your citizenry, you need education to build power, rail and other social amenities, you need education to coexist without prejudice or discriminations etc.

Let look at the scenario below:

The whole South votes for A and the core North votes for B. That way, the votes is about even, with whoever the Middle Belt siding with emerging the winner.

The only way the North can be ousted is to split them. Without that even if SS, SW and SE join forces, it wouldn't be enough to oust the 'North' if the 'North' includes the Middle-Belt.

Northern political landscape is riddle with too much religions sentiments. Islam is a big deal among poor and uneducated Muslim northerners, political figures in the past had capitalize on this social problem to promote hatred and division along these lines.

The best governor Niger never had was David umoru a christian grari ethnic group. His inability to win the governorship race on so many occasions was down to his ethnicity. there is no such thing as southern and northern Nigeria from the perspective of ideology and cultural similarity.

Yoruba people from south western Nigeria are similar to hausas than say igbo or people from the delta. There is cultural similarity thanks to religion.

Northern problem is poverty, illiteracy, unemployment etc... these to me is also Nigeria problem. The reasons we supported the people's general is the believe that he can reposition Nigeria and make her citizen to be proud of her again

1. pegs = 4bundles ( @N1000/bundle = N4,000)

2. profile board = 30 nr of 2 x 2" ( N200/nr = N6,000)

3. builder's square, line, plumb and nail = N10,000

4. transportation = N5,000

5. Labor cost = N5,000 ( 1 carpenter and 1 labor)

6. Professional charges = N 10,000

all you need to do sir is get a good design/picture of your dream gate online, give it to a designer ( preferably, auto card expert ) to do the working/construction drawing. finally, look for a very good fabricator or welder to do the job for you to your designed/picture specification

I want something simple this to be constructed in Ibadan. Welding work has to be impeccable and must be done on a jig for accuracy.

Welds need to be ground and be uniform. It'll be approximately 16 feet in length and non sliding.

Anyone that can do this should please let me know the price.

Stop been tribal. Ad far as I'm concerned, there is no University in Nigeria.

there are universities in Nigeria.... the truth of the matter is that instructors and student are too lazy to put in the extra work required.
Nigeria schools are comparable to those in of India or Pakistan in terms of infrastructure and equipment but we have too many politically appointed professors and lecturers and too many lazy students in our higher institutions

Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa is even more equipped than many of the Universities listed here. I had my ND in Nasarawa and Degree in Minna and was really shocked that many University engineering undergrads cant even use a simple vernier caliper. Most of the things I did in the University after Direct Entry where things I had already learnt from the Polytechnic.

Perhaps we should close down all those non technical departments like Mass Comm, Public Admin and let Polytechnics concentrate on engineering, I changed to degree because no matter how good you are the Polytechnics HND is underrated.

The University did not really develop my creative ability further; I had to change my mentality after I graduated and got a job with an expatriate company and realised that I was applying more of what I learnt in ND than what I learnt in the University to the job.

I totally disagree with you sir. I'm a graduate of federal university of technology minna, civil engineering precisely.
university education is different from polytechnic education. in the university, you are trained to use more of mathematics, apply science and economics to solve infrastructural problem while polytechnics focus more on the practical part.

A degree older civil engineer for instance do more of design and analysis than actual construction but you can build yourself outside school to technologist and technician work.

Fut minna is a very good engineering school where you can actually learn if one is willing to put in the extra work required
