setting out procedures
1. establishement of the building line
2. the other corners of the building is set at right angle to the building line using builder's square to get the correct andgle and a meter rule to measure the horizontal distance. allowance is made to allow for sagging of the meter rule.
4. the four cotners of the building is set and pegged.
5. A nail is placed ontop of the four pegs and each ate connected to form a perfect rectangle or square as the case may be.
6. from these four corners, an ofset of 1.2m or 1.5m ( to allow for digging and carting away of excavated material) is allowed from these four corners pegs.
7. The four offsets pegs are nailed an line connected to them to form another perfect rectangle and square as the case may be.
8. across the new line pegs are spaced at 2m c/c fo form a continuous chain of peg to wish profile boards are nailed to form a profile.
9 The structural building plans is transferred carefully to the profile.
10. at each grid line on the drawing a corresponding 5 nails are placed on the profile as follows. the center nail represent the grid, the next two nail represent the width of block while the last two nail represent the width of the foundation

Congtrats but bro. But abeg what kind of house did you build with 4million naira. Just curious.

people over spend alot by not planning properly while building a house.

The following information can help low cost house builders

1.Do your architectural design focusing more on functionality than aesthetic. e.g don't proposed unnecessary curve, too many corners, very high roof etc.

2. Try do a 3 D . the 3 D allows for modifications and changes to be made b4 actual construction.

3. Try to do the setting out to make sure thee house is straight ( since itt cost little in the longg round)

4. supervise the construction together with a professional if you have the time or give a professional to supervised the job

5. Always procure materials yourself and don't
be a victim of those so called building suppliers ( you can go with your site supervisor).

6. Get a good brick layers/mason for your job. give the block work out on a contract like N50/block, plastering out for N1200/partions.

build q simple roof type and give the job to a good carpentern

@Abdulwastecx, I would like know whether this calculation is only for the casting of the 6" concrete.

it is a template for the calculation of materials required in the production of concrete using mix ratio of 1:2:4. you can always use it for other operation like column, beam, slab etc by changing parameters like the length, width and thickness

Ur mistake is how can u multiply two diff unit together, I mean mm and m?

I always convert from mm to m when I want to do any calculation
