Is it realistically possible to work while in Canada and pay up the remaining tuition. No

I wanted to explain this properly with numbers, facts, and even links if needed showing how many hours you are legally allowed to work, how much you actually earn after taxes, and the reality of expenses. I could even break down the math.

But honestly, I don’t bother anymore.

No matter what you say, someone will always respond with, I have a friend who paid over CAD 40,000 for their program just by working while studying in Canada At that point, I just laugh and tell them to do whatever they want.

People have called me a Madman because what I say but at the end of the day it all makes sense

The truth is, many people think they know better, and I don’t sugarcoat facts to protect feelings. When you actually look at the numbers, they simply don’t add up.

At the end of the day, it’s not realistically possible to fully pay your school fees just by working while studying.

you can pay rent you can pay phone bill you can pay for food but you see that your school fees you can not...........

All the best.
Always here to discourage people. The other member you were telling him to tell his sister to book the next ticket to MMA1.

@coolflame7 yes you can work to pay your tuition fee if;
1. you are not the lavishing type.
2. you work multiple jobs
3. You utilize the holidays (students work full time during holidays/breaks)
4. you have a special skill or services u can render within and outside the school campus for a fee

I have opened TD GIC for Proof of Funds from Nigeria, sent the details to my in-law in Canada to fund it and he has funded it with $40kCAD, my sister his wife supposed to be my sponsor since we bear the same surname but unfortunately she recently came to Canada and hasn't gotten her work permit(she's not working). My tuition fee is $28k, my sis has paid10k deposit already from her account. How will I prove relationship with this my in-law since we are not related by blood. He his ever willing to sponsor me.
I hope you didn't put the remaining part of your tuition fee in the GIC else you will regret it.

Hello bro, I also tried it earlier and i faced the same issue.

But as at now i just tried it and it worked (17-03-2026 03:28 AM), so i am guessing it's just a server issue. Maybe you can also try at midnight too
thanks.. do you know how long it will take to get the police clearance?

I recently bought a Toyota Corolla 2005 model, Nigerian used. Since then I've had this constant problem of hard starting. It's not very bad though, it picks after second or third kick, although in some cases it could be worse prompting my battery to run down.

I have explained the issue to about 4 mechanics, each of them telling me what they suspected could be the cause, I paid them and at the end of the day, nothing changed. I've spent over 300k on this very issue.

The only option I'm considering now is that of the latest mechanic that told me it could be fuel pump system pressure or electrical fault or both. I'm just afraid of spending money again because I'm already afraid it may not work.
So NL family, have your car ever had this "spiritual hard starting" problem? And how did u get out of it?
Change the complete fuel pump housing and you hare good to go. I experienced it with my Corolla '07

I gave it a test myself, and you are absolutely right—it just keeps rolling and eventually stops. It does seem like there might be a system glitch. My suggestion would be to wait a bit and try again later, as these things sometimes resolve themselves. Alternatively, you could post your concern on the Express Entry thread; there’s a good chance someone who has faced a similar issue—and found a solution—will chime in with helpful advice.

I remember the system used to give both "BVN" and "NIN" as options, but now it looks like only "NIN" is available. If you don’t get responses on the thread and you need to sort this out urgently, your final option might be to visit the Alagbon CID office in person. Hopefully, though, it won’t come to that, and you will be able to resolve everything online, which would definitely save you both time and extra expenses.
pls can i have a link to the express entry thread? thanks

I will be starting college in Halifax this March and I am currently booking my flight. I found a route from Lagos to London,UK and then directly to Halifax.

Can I book this flight and receive my study permit at Halifax Stanfield International Airport, or do I need to arrive first in Toronto or Montreal to get my study permit?

Thank you.
Good day sir. Mind telling us what documents you submitted during your visa application? Thanks

See Link here: https://possap.gov.ng/p/signup

Register here(link above) to apply for the Police Character Certificate. It would require your NIN or BVN. Once it is ready, the digital copy stamped by Central Criminal Registry would be sent to your email.
Please after putting my NIN and click on proceed the stuff just load and then stops. I have tried many times

@AbelAbdul if you have your full tuition go ahead to pay it. This doesnt garanteen your visa, but give a better change. I have seen people that paid full tuition and still got deny student visa. But if you have it, please go ahaead and make the full tuition deposit.

Also what good to note, if you have your accommodation money or living expenses totallying to around 23k cad. Just go ahead with opening a bank account and do your GIC
The school at the moment has not given the cost of total or half tuition. the said this information would be made available by july. that the tuition would be determine by the number of courses registered

ooo now its 8 admission you are surely the king of admission with out visa hahahah

See your life how you keep mixing things up Admission and visa processing are two completely different things. No one needs an agent to get admission or even Visa.

I never told anyone to use an agent to get admission. What I have always said is that if you must use an agent, it should only be for the visa process, and the agent should be licensed.

My issue with you is that you keep making up statements that I never made. I am a do-it-yourself person, and I have always stood by that.

I have seen the damage that many Facebook agents have done to people, which is why I always warn. In my opinion, no one will present your case better than you can yourself.

That is why I always encourage people to handle their applications themselves. But if you absolutely must use an agent for the visa process, please make sure the agent is licensed.

and for visa processing Nigeria only has 7 lincenced immigration consultants https://register.college-ic.ca/Public-Register-EN/RCIC_Search.aspx
I want to apply for study permit this month. My school said I should pay 2k CAD to get my LOA. I mailed my school that I want to pay more money for tuition fee and accommodation. The school said that the tuition fee is paid based on courses registered and I can only know how much I will pay in July during course registration. for accommodation, I can only pay in June.
Should I pay only the 2k CAD and apply for study permit?

Very strange. I have never heard of a birth certificate or police clearance being requested for a study permit, but if IRCC is asking for it, give it to them.
Is there any specific police station this police clearance can be got or just any random station?

My program is 1 year program with total tuition fee of 20,000 cad, POF of 47,000 cad this will include the remaining tuition balance plus living expenses now this is what my offer letter payment method stated 2000 cad to pay first before April 3 to secure my seat, also 8,889 cad to be paid May 1 now I'm saying after the 2000 deposit to secure my seat what I plan to pay again to add to it as additional payment is 3000 cad then use this to apply for study permit with strong POF does this payment okay hope visa officer will not question why not paid the full first semester payment as at when due and stated by the school also hope school will not withdraw my offer if later I pay 3000 cad out of 8,889 cad I was asked to pay by May 1
Your school would be even happy you paid the 3k CAD. Visa officer would not question. Just proove to them that u have the money. you can afford it. the money is accessible by you. Goodluck. Pls ignore that perverrttt that want to introduce u to his fake agent

Thank you for your response what I'm trying to ask and figure out is that first term fee is 10,000 cad I'm not asking paying 5000 cad and then apply for study permit does this advisable and make sense though the proof of funds will show the remaining balance
If you have the full tuition fee, pay. If you don't have, pay the deposit fee and get your LOA. When applying for study permit demonstrate that you have the full tuition to pay. Forget that pervertttt

So, I recently got an offer letter to a 2years diploma program in BioScience Technology in Saskatchewan Canada, which aligns with my previous educational background.
Please I need help starting visa application process and if possible a reputable agent would do. Thank you
Do it yourself. Was it an agent that did the school processing for you? Better do things yourself. That pervert boy would come here to tell you otherwise

Hello guys, I want to apply to canada for masters. I have a good GRE score and an average gpa (second class upper). I noticed in their requirements they said they don't require GRE but should I still submit it to strengthen my case. Also there was no mention of WES, does it mean I can just use my Nigerian transcript as is for the application. Thanks.
I got admission into 3 Canadian Universities and I only used my transcript
