it wasn't stated anywhere in the article that the said engineers were graduates of Nigerian universities or that the engineers were Nigerian nationals, what they clearly said was "Nigerian engineers" which could mean engineers under the employment of the Nigerian Govt. But as usual, we let our low self esteem cloud our sense of reasoning and we jump into conclusion that the "nigerian engineers" didn't do anything. We just don't believe in ourselves. SMH |

Floxyluv:Imagine this - A guy that doesn't have a car (he is a German car enthusiast, he can afford japanese cars, but he is saving up for a German Beauty Moving on Wheels (BMW), ) This guy meets a Nigerian Girl who thinks she is a big girl all because she is driving a Toyota Corolla, DO you think he will feel inferior when he knows within himself that he can afford the car she is driving? My point is this - A man's true worth is not what he has presently, but what he is capable of having, given the potentials, skills and ideology he possesses, Thank GOD my gf drives a beetles type 1 (ijapa) 1938 model ![]() |

when will Johnny boy wake up and start acting like a president? or does he think he is a local government chairman? ![]() inconsistent policies, unnecessary comments, i dont understand why he is still paying his PR agents, it is waste of money, they should all be sacked. it would have been better if he kept quiet than this BS all in the name of trying to safe his face. this singular act is not helping his image as president, it shows we have a weakling. so what he is saying now is that there are some people somewhere making policies and running the country for him? Fresh Air indeed My grandma would have done a better job (at least she woulda made a mistake and stood by it) ![]() |
What is the basis of ranking the states? because i am yet to see any difference in the poor or the rich states which have nothing to show for it courtesy of the armed robbers in government houses all over the country. what difference does it make if for example, state A earns $50million per month and the Governor embezzles $49.9million, and a state B that earns $20million and the governor develops the state with the money, as he is not answerable to anybody or any godfather? the title "rich" or "poor" states are in the minds of those deceiving themselves, cause the poor man on the street doesn't feel the impact. i bet someone somewhere would be saying Oyo state and Ogun states are rich states with what they suffered in the hands of their previous governors Until we stamp out corruption, voting sweet mouthed people all in the name of regions or zoning, voting for people that doesn't have a clear plan on how to transform the economies of their states, voting for people that will always depend on the revenue allocation from the federal government without thinking of the state generating their own revenues, until we get to the point of holding our public office holders accountable, that's when we can judge a state as being rich or poor. Before that time, to me all the states are the same in term of wealth (except for lagos state and rivers) |
why do i have a feeling that GEJ is just trying to test-run the resistance level of Nigerians, because I doubt he's serious about this already failed attempt at third term there will be lots of protests and riots in every part of this country if this bill is passed, i weep for these our greedy politicians, they are just too slow to learn from the mistakes of their predecessors (OBJ) |

Ref Peter Walton waves ‘invisible’ yellow card DOZY ref Peter Walton flashes an IMAGINARY yellow card - after leaving the real one in the dressing room. The Premier League official realised his blunder when he reached into his pocket to book Birmingham City midfielder Jordon Mutch for a foul on Everton's Louis Saha. Fans saw him check the pockets of his shorts before realising he did not have his red and yellow cards. Walton, 51, then tried to bluff his way out of it by raising his left hand to brandish an invisible card. At least the red-faced ref had remembered his notebook - and was able to write down Mutch's name for the caution. The incident came in the 40th minute of Wednesday's televised clash at Goodison Park. One fan said: "It was so funny - but a bit amateurish. If I left my tools at home I'd be out of a job in no time." Walton found his cards at half-time and booked three more players in the second half of the 1-1 draw. The ref, from Long Buckby, Northants, is one of the most experienced top officials. source:http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3460251/Ref-Peter-Walton-waves-imaginary-card-at-Birminghams-Jordon-Mutch.html |
A CRAZED fan is believed to have tried to stab Jose Mourinho as he signed autographs in an airport. The former Chelsea boss's personal bodyguard was wounded as the madman lashed out with the sharp object. Mourinho, 48, was rushed away by his security team at the A Coruna airport, in north west Spain, last Friday. Spanish media said the security guard, called Eduardo, only realised had been stabbed when he boarded the team bus with the Real Madrid coach. He thought he had been punched until he saw the blood pouring from the wound. Real Madrid security chiefs believe the attacker meant to harm Mourinho. The bodyguard was treated for a 4cm wound. Mourinho was only told about the incident yesterday, Spanish media said. Newspaper El Periodico said: "Mourinho stopped to sign autographs in arrivals, where a large number of Madrid fans were waiting for the team. "The bodyguard was near the manager and noticed he had been stabbed in the armpit. "The security guard realised he had a 4cm wound caused by a sharp object. "Mourinho was very worried by the incident." Security cameras recorded the drama and the attacker, said to be a tall man, has been identified. source :http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3447668/Mourinho-airport-stabbing-scare.html |
Fuming official Damian Rubino sent off all 22 players PLUS their substitutes and technical staff as a mass brawl erupted. the bolded shows the reason Seun:thanks seun 22 players plus 6 substitutes on either sides, plus officials ![]() |
A REFEREE set a soccer record - by flashing 36 red cards in one game. Fuming official Damian Rubino sent off all 22 players PLUS their substitutes and technical staff as a mass brawl erupted. Last night the shaken boss of one of the teams told how he begged police to lock raging opposition players in their dressing room. Rival Argentinian team Claypole - who beat his side Victoriano Arenas 2-0 - accused the referee of overreacting to the bust-up in Buenos Aires. Manager Sergio Micieli said: "Most players were trying to separate people. The ref was confused." The world record was previously held by a 1993 game in Paraguay that saw 20 players sent off. source - http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3445465/Referee-shows-36-red-cards-in-a-game.html |
