Man, Wife, Sister Die In Bauchi Auto Crash While Returning Home After Voting (Photos)

A man, his wife and sister have died in an auto crash at Bada Romo village in Ganguwa Local Government Area of Bauchi State, IGBERETV reports.

According to report, the fatal crash occurred around 8:00 pm on Saturday, February 25, 2023.

The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Yusuf Abdullahi, who confirmed the crash in a statement on Sunday, said the accident involved one articulated vehicle with number plate ABS620XA and a private Focus Saloon car with plate number AG999JRE.

Abdullahi said the accident could be blamed on wrongful overtaking, adding that it took the personnel of the corps about 10 minutes to clear the crash scene. According to him, six persons were involved in the road crash and there were four male adults and two female adults. Three people including two female adults and a male adult lost their lives on the spot

"Three other persons involved in the crash were unscathed,” he said.

Abdullahi added that the corpses of the deceased had been deposited at the morgue of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital for identification, while items and vehicles involved were handed to the Police in the state. He urged motorists to always be conscious of traffic rules and regulations while playing the roads.

Meanwhile, the victims have been identified as Usman Alhassan (Babayo) the Customer Care Manager of Bauchi State Urban Water and Sewerage Corporation, his wife and his sister.

It was gathered that the trio had travelled to their village in Ningi Local Government Area of the state to participate in the election and were returning back to their base when the accident happened.

With the implementation of the now infamous CBN cashless policy, many Nigerians are groaning under the negative effect of it due to the absence of raw cash to run their day to day businesses and the POS operators are not exempted.

For example in my area, no POS operator opens again, no cash to run the business, except those that run other businesses with their POS, now I wonder how POS businesses in other places in the country makes ends meet without using other businesses to support it.
