PoliticsRe: The Yorubas Are Making A Big Mistake by abiodunalabama: 4:52am On Jul 02, 2022
[quote author=babasolution post=114337819]The Yoruba fascinations about LAGOS or Ibadan is a costly development strategy I think.

The Yoruba are not developing their rural areas at all, they are fixated on only the cities.

This attitude is even reflected in Lagos were the more traditional Yoruba areas are neglected while the city proper is constantly developing.

The Yoruba have this attitude of copying the Europeans alot which is a big weakness in my opinion. They want to be like the whitemans, have big cities, but they struggling to achieve it which is costing them a heavy and serious neglect of their rural areas. This is probably why Yoruba villages and local towns are grossly undeveloped.

Yorubas should engage more in rural investment, attract it's people back to their local towns and villages.

More investment should be put into rural areas in southwest.

The nigerdeltans are also very guilty of this too[/]How many of ur rural areas have u develop?

Vote Tinubu 2023. Vote APC.

Thank you OP. I was the first to like your post.

It is painful that your people are easily brainwashed and love follow follow too much. Most of them can think on their own and make sound decisions.

If they continue with this style and pattern of Hate, Chestbeating, Not being able to take half of what they serve, I am sorry to say this truth; There will never a President of Igbo extraction and Biafra will never be achieved.

Whether they like it or not, Tinubu is the next President.

If they continue like this, Tinubu will do 8 years.

A Northerner will do 8 years.

A SouthSoutherner will do 8 years.

A Northerner will do 8 years.

A Yoruba Man will do 8 years again. And the cycle continues.

PoliticsRe: Shame On Some Nigerians, And Thank God I Am A Dual Citizen! by abiodunalabama: 2:08pm On Jun 18, 2022
MikoB:
Let me start by thanking those that have been mailing me since the last presidential primary of the APC, I really appreciate, I am good and okay, even though I was dissapointed on the turn of events in the primary. Those that have been following my posts and threads can testify that I was so sure of Osinbajo winning the ticket, what prompted this believe is a story for another day but I can assure you that, there was an arrangement in the presidency that influence of moneybags will not be allowed.Anyway, Atiku and Tinubu have bribed their ways into the contest, I wish nigeria all the best, I have dual citizenship of nigeria and france, but I place Nigeria above france in my preference before, but can't be sure of that again, I have never seen a country that is so allergic to progress like nigeria in my life, how can a country that want progress will be talking about Tinubu and Atiku in this century, I am not underestimating the others in the race, but will all know the situations we find ourselves in the country will make it very difficult for someone like Obi to win. I am a yoruba man, naturally I am suppose not to be sad over the candidacy of Tinubu, but I am not happy because morally I can't, even though I am not going to campaign against him, but I will rather put more energy and effort on my business all over than to waste my time on a country that is not ready, I can assure most of celebrating that Osinbajo did not clinch the ticket, you will be the first people that will ask for him after some time, for those that stood by PYO, I can't thank you enough, but you guys will be counted as those that stood by your conviction of a better Nigeria, Osinbajo even asked his friends that wanted to give money to delegates not to do it, the votes he got at the primary were genuine votes from delegates that wanted a better country, some of the aspirants went as far as given 3million dollars each to some governors, 30k dollars each to many delegates and you expect something good after all. A country loved by God will be govern by good leaders. Thank you
Nobody care about ur dual citizenship...When u in Nigeria or carry only Nigeria passport what ur effect?

PoliticsRe: The Apology Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Needs To Offer by abiodunalabama: 11:07pm On Jun 14, 2022
IniAkpanMorgan:
All I can see in the Osinbajo/Tinubu saga, is the sacrifice Governor Kayode Fayemi paid to contribute to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu winning the APC Presidential Primaries. Governor John Kayode Fayemi was one among whom some APC leaders asked Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to pick as Vice President, when the issue of the Muslim/Muslim ticket came up in December 2014.

Asiwaju's wife, Remi, with Governor Fayemi were those suggested to the Asiwaju for adoption but he refused. He had insisted, and took Professor Yemi Osinbajo to President Buhari as his replacement as Vice President.

As it stood, when Governor Fayemi stood down from the Presidential race for Bola Tinubu, he made a moral statement of trust in his declaration. He reminded everyone that both the Asiwaju and himself were in battle the 0trenches of NADECO, fighting for our democracy together! Governor Fayemi saw the Asiwaju as an older brother, a mentor, and a great leader who could do more for Nigerians than he could. It was so touching...!

Governor Fayemi respected the Asiwaju's age by accepting that he still has his own chances in the future. He surrendered his delegates to the Asiwaju. At that point, I cannot tell how many Nigerians, who followed that event, expected Prof Yemi Osinbajo to do the same, but he did not.

The Holy Book admonishes says that "he, who has not yet girded on his armour (meaning he who is preparing to go to war), should not boast more than he, who has hung up his own armour (he who has returned from war and has removed, and hung up his armour).

A close observation of Bayo Onanuga's regret for bringing Prof Osinbajo into the Asiwaju political cabinet, and his apology for thwarting the chance of Barr Bayo Oriola, imputes Bola Tinubu with a debt of apology he owes to Governor Kayode Fayemi. It became a season of regrets and apologies around Asiwaju Tinubu's relationships with Professor Yemi Osinbajo.

I read about how Bayo Onanuga, Asiwaju's Media Chief, apologised to a Commisioner-in-waiting under Tinubu's 'consideration, who failed to become Asiwaju Bola Tinubu's Attorney General in the cabinet he constituted over Lagos State. Mr Onanuga apologised because he regretted introducing Prof Osinbajo to his principal, who appointed him his Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice.

My question is: would Asiwaju Bola Tinubu be justified to see Prof Yemi Osinbajo in the same light as his media manager sees him? If he does, in any way, and by any chance, I think he should apologise to Governor John Kayode Fayemi, for choosing Prof Yemi Osinbajo over him, when he nominated Prof Yemi Osinbajo as President Buhari's Vice President.

Indeed! Ambition is made of sterner stuff!!
Stop lying Fayemi wasn’t among of them

PoliticsRe: A Sincere Message From A Yoruba To All Peter Obi Supporters Xpecially Igbos by abiodunalabama: 5:28pm On Jun 12, 2022
angelEmade:
I want all Peter Obi supporters especially the igbos to understand these simple and truthful facts.
.
1. After Osinbajo's fate at the APC primary polls majority of us Yorubas who are Osinbajo supporters as well as Christians have started supporting Peter Obi.
.
.
2. We have always been of the opinion that Professor Yemi Osinbajo and Peter Obi are both competent, forward thinking and have the interest of a greater Nigeria at heart but based on instincts and the spirit of brotherliness it was only fair to support PYO. We have always loved Peter Obi.
.
.
3. But the most important thing you have to know is that; if you really have the interest of Peter Obi at heart, you should be working towards gaining him more supporters instead of pushing away his fans and lovers over something as flimsy as ethnicity. The way we openly insult the yorubas and generalize them all as Tinubu lovers is not really helping the Obidient movement. Yorubas and northerners that really want an obi presidency are quiet large, the whole Christian community is counting on and hoping that man will be able to lift the winning flag against all odds... let's all work towards that goal.
.
The way you insult us over Tinubu and other reasons makes it feel like you do not need our votes, it makes it seem like you do not want fans for Peter Obi from our side. (As a big fan of Peter Obi now, I really want to plead with you guys to desist from all these things as it will only encourage my Yoruba folks including the Christian community amongst us to stand on the fence and watch whatever unfolds)
.
.
We need all the vote we can get for the obidient movement. I wish us well.

PoliticsRe: Who Can Debate With Peter Obi by abiodunalabama: 5:05pm On Jun 11, 2022
Dreal1247:
As the preparations for the presidential election is gradually gathering momentum, I'm just thinking out loud on who can effectively stand the Labor Party presidential flag bearer. I remember that during the preparations for the 2019 general elections, Atiku and Buhari refused to show up for the presidential primaries but projected their Vice Presidential candidates in the persons of Peter Obi and Prof Yemi Osibanjo. Most of us were previleged to view or listen to the debate.
But now that Obi is now a presidential flag bearer and his former principal is also a presidential flag bearer, how will the debate look like. Waiting to get the comments of the Nairalanders.
Please don't mind my poor grammar. Mr Admin, kindly push it to the front page.
