Lessonteacher:Convince you, okay where would you like me to start. There are many aspects of ifa, it is not only a religion but also a literary corpus containing over 204 000 pages worth of knowledge from the dawn of time till today |
babasolution:Nothing bad was involved in ifa. They demonised it to keep us Africans in mental slavery thinking that the whites were gods, so we would worship them and okay into their every word which is why it worked. There are still many people practice ifa even descendants of Yoruba slaves in South America and the Caribbean practice ifa. My job is to create knowledge on these things, there is nothing demonic, satanic or whatsoever about ifa. |
I await challengers |
This is also open to the igbos, ewe, fon and nupe becuase they all used the same divination system as the Yoruba just under different names I call for any single Nigerian, Ghanaian, Togolese, beninoise person to debate me on Christianity or Islam being the true religion over ifa, afa, efa. I assure you I will win the facts I provide will override any point you can possibly make. |
Edopesin:Facebook copied MySpace |
Tayeni:They don’t mean communism in this sense, essentially let me give you an example let’s say Dangote wants to build a steel plant in asaba or whatever. The people of that community will get a portion of the money made from it, socialism is sharing the money between the richest and the people or the communities, anything built in a community must be felt in the community, gold mine in zamfara? The community has to get money from thst development, oil in Niger delta the community will feel it, it’s not only the richest of the rich who own the things that get the money they still get money just not all of it. Understand |
jln115:Scientists did what don’t you understand when they came to Africa they came with scientists, archaeologists, explorers etc, who gave us this knowledge christian missionaries did their job which was to spread Christianity and “literacy” but ultimately they weren’t the ones to spread the knowledge, and what use is it if their knowledge is just evolved from thst discovered in ancient Egypt by Africans or learnt in the Timbuktu library by Africans. |
Abohboy:And on top of that most of the things your talking about wouldn’t be able to be made without Africa’s resources and minerals, which the people were aware of because they used them for multiple purposes. We knew how to make steel, bronze, copper, iron we were moulding gold into swords and artefacts, we had houses with steel supports go and look at the pictures from the Benin ou ti I’ve expedition when they’re sitting in the castle you can see they used steel and wood to build their houses then they used clay, mud and bricks to build the houses. They had massive houses, massive walls, fortifications, massive ditches. Etc. |
So,e of you are really acting as if Africans had nothing before the rope as came, go and read his the Portuguese described Kongo empire and Benin empire as well as the empires along Senegal’s coastline. Then come back to me and tell me the same story. |
jln115:There was no tv, no toilets, no cell phones when they came to Africa. And also modern medicine isn’t needed if the herbs provide proper healthcare, we had herbs which were able to cure multiple disease you may think it false but I have treated malaria with traditional medicine and I have been cured on multiple occasions so don’t bring this modern medicine bs. |
jln115:They didn’t bring it for one and also the point is who discovered the science and no it wasn’t the Christians, prominent European scientists were challenged by the catholic and later the Protestant church all through history like Galileo |
jln115:Also you didn’t answer my point Christianity didn’t bring development, Christianity and science are two different things. Science built those not Christianity a lot of scientists at the time were atheists |
jln115:You really sure about that, in ile ife and Benin the roads were laid with smooth bricks, stones or potsherds to make walking around the cities easy. There were water wells in each house in Benin city as well as in djenne and Songhai. Or have you not heard of the timbuktu library and how much knowledge they had, africa did have modern amenities whether you want to believe that or not is not my problem after all your a colonized yourself |
Kazikazi:Why would I post a pic of what I wear to prove a point to some random homeless guy. I don’t need to prove any thing I am wearing Ankara. Most times I wear sokoto ati buba but anyways |
IGpro1:Awo is sacred secret. So babalawo simply means father or career of sacred secrets because they have a very big understanding of the ifa oracle |
Religion has been used as a tool in Africa to keep the people in mental slavery. The Bible is okay with slavery which is why black Christians don’t really complain about it. Christianity and Islam are both tools of mental slavery and bondage of us and until we understand this we will forever stay under in this world |
mtisTheQubit:We started in Egypt were not Hebrews. We originated from ancient Egypt but when the persians came in 525AD a lot of people including the forefathers of the Yoruba left Egypt but they weren’t able to keep most of the technology they had the only thing they could keep from Egypt was their religion and understanding of the human body and nature around it. I’m not saying some African practices weren’t evil in nature but to label them all evil in nature is just ignorant and wrong. Ifa for one isn’t demonic or evil in nature. Neither is the igbo religion even though I know nothing about it. |
mtisTheQubit:None of those are part of African spirituality just becuase one person claims such doesn’t make it true ifa doesn’t contain any of the things you listed above, there are even Yoruba artefacts made of bronze and iron thst represent twins and royalty remember the yorubas have the highest number of yorubas per capita in the world. Cultism was created in the 1960s by wole Soyinka. Human sacrifice isn’t part of ifa or most west African relgiions for that matter it is a very recent development. So now I’ve debunked your claims. Christianity didn’t open up the eyes of anybody the scriptures and knowledge of the ancient Egyptians is what brought civilization to the people |
mtisTheQubit:Some Africans were demonic not all. Ifa was never demonic maybe the one you practice is demonic but not mine. Also ifa contains African morals and proverbs all those Yoruba proverbs you hear are all from ifa, ifa is just a book with all knowledge the Yoruba have of the world. It contains knowledge of the cosmos Nature Plants Astronomy Biology Pharmacy Religion The Yoruba religion belief is that the world was started with a massive explosion create by Akamura ( celestial being) she then created another celestial beings to create the stars and the universes. Then she created our solar system and appointed iyaami aje as the mother of earth ( Mother Nature for them is iyaami aje) then iyaami aje created the orisha, olorun is god the orisha ths rules other the rest. Then olorun created 17 irunmole which are basically angels to create life on earth There are 401 Orishas and this number is so much larger than the initial 17 because the belief is that earthly people can become orisha if they gain a higher understanding of the world and nature around themselves. Osun got a higher understanding of water, sango of fire and lightning it is believed that sango could control lightning making him able to strike down his enemies in battle. Now tell me so far what is demonic about that. Angels, a god etc. Just your average religion in a different language Odu ifa contains all knowledge the yorubas have |
mtisTheQubit:I’m against both of them I mentioned it earlier both are bad. Human sacrifice was never the order of the day that was European propaganda sold to make it seem as if Africans were backward savages, we had cities and civilizations the fact that most Africans don’t understand this is sad. We had the ancient walled cities of kano. We had ile ife with the Yoruba compounds we had the great Benin city and great Benin palace with long straight paved roads, and oil fueled street lamps. We were not demonic nor backward. |
IGpro1:Evidence for why it’s demonic please and remember Christianity originated from Greek oagansim meanwhile African spiritualities originated from ancient kemetic spirituality |
IGpro1:Most Africans had cities. There were empires rich in gold with massive trading ports, markets, gold mines etc, ever heard of mansa musa his son shield to the americas. Africa got to the americas before Columbus so which west brought development. The fact that you believe Christianity saved us is funny. So what if voodoo is their religion is is your problem. Christianity is the same religion that allows slavery but that’s okay to you. Also if this god is all loving why would he allow us over 400 million people to worship “satan” and by the way there is no satan ina fir an spirituality and there is no hell either so go and learn. My age doesn’t matter but it’s very clear thst you don’t know anything about history. Go and read about the history of the Middle Eastern religions Started in Egypt, then the Greek adopted some Egyptian gods under different names. Go and learn about the image of serapis and see who your Christ really was, stfu and go and read about chancellor Williams how europe underdeveloped Africa and cheikh anta diop precolonial black Africa. After reading those come back to me |
IGpro1:How did Christianity help us in anyway shape or form they could have brought technology without giving us religion |
IGpro1:Your the one who said ritual sacrifices happen there so why are you now asking, olodo |
IGpro1:We were not living in caves and trees this just shows how un dedicated you are go and look what the Portuguese said about Benin city in the 1400s. Go and look at the Kongo empire in the 1500s. The soap and cloth trade in Nigeria which almost destroyed the Portuguese soap industry, we had development, we had cities, we had water, we had cultures. We were not just uncivilised this I waht I mean look at how uneducated black Africans are about their past some of them genuinely think thst before the Europeans we lived in huts it disgusting honestly |
jln115:Christianity didn’t create those infrastructures now did they. A lot of scientific discoveries were stalled by the Catholic Church in the past. I don’t wear western clothing. We had tarred roads before you guys came using bricks, we had tap water to all houses in Benin city and ile ife before you guys came. Stop putting together Christianity and science they are two different things. These things weren’t discovered due to Christianity |
IGpro1:I clearly know more than you, you are aware thst the Christians burned people alive. Kongo empire was a Christian empire but they still killed the people in the name of God. Christianity didn’t bring any light into Africa it just ensured the mental slavery of the Africans and it made sure to put them all into servitude. Those cultish killings and rituals have nothing to do with African spiritualities, African spiritualities have never and will never involve killling other people. Christians on the other hand |
IGpro1:They don’t commit devilish acts, they don’t kill twins at least the one I practice, they don’t bury dead kings with human sacrifice infact in the one I prayed human sacrifice is a taboo, no such thing as evil forest and in the one I practice albinos are venerated. Christianity didn’t bring any light into Africa before we were civilised, we did not rob each other in the Benin empire people would leave their doors open when they went to the market and nothing was stolen. Egyptians civilised the rest of the world the Egyptians were blacks and majority of African civilizations those in Kongo, Benin, Ghana ( the empire ), Nok, ife, Songhai, Mali ( empire) etc. We’re all descendants of the ancient Egyptians out African spiritualities stem from it. Christianity and religion as a whole was used as a tool to oppress the people and to make it easier for them to give up their cultures and traditions in the name of satan, there is no hell, it was simply created to scare people into bowing down to Christianity. The rosary originated from the opele ifa. The way you say amen after every prayer originates from the Egyptian worship of Ra, they used to say Amen Ra and remember the Jewish were stuck in Egypt for multiple generations. Monotheism originated as a theory in Egypt and Moses used this as a tool to keep the hope in his people up, Abrahamic religions are scams. Those in those regions can practice it but we Africans can also practice our own stories Until we find ourselves and go back to our traditions we will fail Orunmila said himself in 1st BCE I forgot the exact quote but in essence it talks about how his people will stay in bondage and will never achieve their greatness until they understand themselves and the world around them. That is the stage we are currently at. |
SUFFERInSMILIIN:The picture is so clearly edited ![]() |
Vlain:It takes a long time to learn and it is hard to give up but ultimately those religions don’t suit the African way of life and they have kept us in bondage, the only way forward is going back to African spiritualities |
If your African and you still practice Christianity or Islam or if your African and your still not a pan Africanist I pity you |
