PoliticsRe: Subsidy Removal: Strike Collapses In Anambra As Protesters Drum Support For Gej by abouzaid: 7:48am On Jan 11, 2012
I find it totally unpalatable that a bunch of self serving idiots would go this far in their pursuit of ill gotten wealth. Catholic priests are leading the protest in enugu, what are their counterparts in anambra doing over it? shame on igboland, shame on anambra, shame on the nigerian police and shame on all of u rented posters on our social media. I have nothing else to say till after 2015

PoliticsRe: I Need A Job: The Plight Of Nigerian Graduates by abouzaid: 8:34am On Dec 03, 2011
The bad economy has a role play but the truth is that thousands if not millions of expatriates are occupying juicy positions because of our poor educational system. How many computer science graduates can write a simple book keeping application or even excell macros, how many of our accountancy graduates can put peach tree or sage to a professional use. An engineering once complained that he made 2.1 with out being able to differenciate between a spanner and a screw driver. Our biochemistry graduates can not produce ordinary body lotion, the litany of woes are endless. Now add to it the fact that most graduates study what is entirely unneeded by the nigerian economy such as music, philosophy, religious studies, pol sc, sociology, soil sc, archeology etc. Off course the graduates would not equally tell u what grade of result they graduated with. The truth is that as high as 50-70% of all graduates from nigerian schools graduate with a third class or worse that's why many banks and companies keep firing staffs with fake credentials. Needless to say many never graduate at all. I would stop here for now
PoliticsRe: Bianca Ojukwu's Name Sent To Senate As Ambassador Nominee by abouzaid: 9:18am On Dec 02, 2011
@bluetooth, the modern igbo custom just requires her to shave her head and wear a mourning cloth only. So are u telling me that all newly widowed diplomats should abandon their posts for one yr? I strongly advice her to take it besides it's her personal choice to make so i'm not going to be wasting bandwiths anymore responding to this post since no body on earth wears her shoe for her. Only her can make the final decision and none of us have the moral right to judge her. Chikena
PoliticsRe: Bianca Ojukwu's Name Sent To Senate As Ambassador Nominee by abouzaid: 7:38am On Dec 02, 2011
@bluetooth, we are to follow your logic, then every widowed ambassador, civil servant, banker etc should resign or reject new appointments for one yr in order to mourn their husbands abi? Igbo modern custom dictates she shaves her head and year a mourning cloth with her children for a about a year not that they should abandon their jobs and education for a year. This is once in a life time shot for this woman and her children to break into the top echelons of this national politics and i advice her to grab it with both hands, doing otherwise would be foolishness. Staying idle in the house is not mourning by any standard be it igbo, hausa or yoruba
PoliticsRe: Bianca Ojukwu's Name Sent To Senate As Ambassador Nominee by abouzaid: 5:23am On Dec 02, 2011
Ojukwu was central in the formation of the APGA/PDP coalition that delivered the south east to GEJ. I believe he also wanted his wife to be set up as a diplomat before his death giving his failing health. That's not a bad move by me. The greatest achievement of ojukwu in recent times is bringing in igbos into mainstream politics, high level federal service and top security positions through GEJ.
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram: Igbos Flee The North En-masse by abouzaid: 10:05pm On Nov 23, 2011
Igbos will be foolish to abandon the north since their businesses flourish here with very little or no competition. The competition in the east is cut throat. Their children gain easier admissions into northern schools of higher learning etc. The igbos here should understand that they are what their are today because they are willing to move out of their region. A few more traders won't develop their region more, what will develop them further is sound governance from selfless leaders
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram: Igbos Flee The North En-masse by abouzaid: 8:58pm On Nov 23, 2011
The article is a lie, i'm in niger state right now and i have not seen any igbo fleeing and i can tell u that from what happened during the last post election violence, the igbos are not going to flee the north en masse again instead they would send their families back home and the men would stay back to fight. Kano use to be a hot bed until the igbos fought back and peace returned to kano. Also the situation now is different since boko haram is not targeting the igbos in particular, infact they have killed more northerners than any tribe it's just that the igbos are very visible and their shops got hitten very often. Pls ppl should stop this north bashing, the ppl here are very peacefull and the boko boys are not different from the murderous thugs  existing in the east. The lack of northerners in nairaland should not be used as an opportunity to turn it into anti northern thread

PoliticsRe: Letter From Lt.col. Ojukwu To Lt. Col.banjo by abouzaid: 3:58pm On Nov 20, 2011
Pls everybody should shun this thread. The nairaland owner and his moderators have been busy promoting ethnic hatred here to attract more hits and keep it relevant and guess what? It's working, only ethnically bigotted threads get the highest hits and the admin have grown so lazy that they don't make out time to search out new good articles worth commenting to post here, that's why lame and stale articles last for weeks on the politics forum page, i guess nothing in nigeria is built to last including nairaland
PoliticsRe: earn 300% by abouzaid(op): 6:51pm On Nov 19, 2011
@alh_harem, ka beri shi, you should not waste your energy arguing with an unrepentant ethnic bigot. @nchara nwoke m, kedu ife na eme gị? Jide onwe gị aka. What's my concern with rural sociology or agricultural economics? When have poultry stop being part of agric? You made a very sensible submission about the fragmentative land holding in igbo land and i supported you by saying that i have seen such in most parts of anambra. Asha80 also suggested that i could counter that obstacle by meeting the owners of the large tracts of unoccupied forestland in nsukka to acquire the land for mechanized farming of which i responded that i intend to do so at igbariam. What's there to fight about? Ok, suggest an appropriate title for the thread and i will rename it just to gain your peace. Jiri ya nwayo na onwero ife eji okwu na ụka eme
PoliticsRe: earn 300% by abouzaid(op): 6:46am On Nov 19, 2011
@nchara if your observant, you would have noticed that i have changed the title of this thread some hours ago to just please the igbos but only you seems hell bent on derailing this thread despite my despite my pleas to you. Infact only you have been have been playing both opposition and defense and my brother it's not good. @ all on from my discussions with igbos, they always explain that why they are not farming is because of stressfull nature of the profession and low prestige accorded to it . It takes less than a hectare of land to run a modern poultry that give u over a million in annual revenue and only about 10 hectares for an oil palm plantation that will put millions per annum in your pockets so is land that scarce in the east? Apart from some heavily populated parts of anambra i really found that hard to believe. Thanks to all contributors so far for being respectfull in their submissions. I guess i might stay back in the north and forget about moving back to the east. @ okstol i'm already in the process of acquiring a large tract of land at igbariam next yr so i'm much aware of them, the article was intentionally meant to be bitter in order to generate the needed responce, once again i'm sorry if i hurt your feelings.
PoliticsRe: earn 300% by abouzaid(op): 2:12am On Nov 19, 2011
@cyberg, i have the antidote for a north vs east fight it's just i hope the yorubas won't cash in and derail the thread. My intentions is purely to seek information before deciding to either stay back in the north to invest in large scale storage of grains or to go down east to try my hands on commercial palm and plantain plantations. The north offers less return and less risk while the east is a practically uncharted territory agric wise but i'm in love with the east because it's a more ideal place to start a family even in a rural setting due to presence of quality schools for children even in the rural areas where as education is a joke here in the north. @nchara must everything be about tribal supremacy? I studied at nsukka and i saw low yielding wild palm trees not modern plantations with improved breed.most of what i saw as regards other crops were subsistence farms manned by old old folks because their children have all trooped to the city. Go to onitsha and u would those abakaliki and nsukka youths hawking gala rather than farming in their villages, this poor youths are also the ones more likely to engage in crimes or victimised by the onitsha police. Why can't they just go home and practise modern agriculture? And believe me the east have more than enough land to engage in modern mechanized agriculture. Nsukka is mostly thinly populated with a large mostly unoccupied jungle stretching from ninth mile diversion upto enugu ezike into kogi state. I know what i am talking about @Ezeuche my brother a large percentage of the yams consumed in the east is hauled in from the middle belt mostly from benue, taraba and niger states and it's nothing to be ashamed of since they get their palm oil from the east even though i have seen palm trees doing well in these states yet we too have failed to make use of it
PoliticsRe: earn 300% by abouzaid(op): 12:35am On Nov 19, 2011
@xtian. They were only begging them to buy rams which we know is not a meat of choice in the east, have u seen them begging them to buy goats? Also most of those rams were probable imported from chad or niger republic where prices are cheaper and does not mean that the north have more rams than they can sell
PoliticsRe: earn 300% by abouzaid(op): 12:27am On Nov 19, 2011
@cyberg, i'm not insinuating anything or being tribalistic , i'm just stating the fact as i see it so that underlying causes might be exposed. I only used the east as an because i lived and studied there for yrs and therefore have first hand experience of the massive surge in food prices each time there is crises in the north @ ebere. I never generalised igbos as being lazy because we all know your not, just that i can't understand why they fail to apply their well reputed education and enterprising nature to agriculture even when they are very much aware of the benefits derivable from it. I'm really sorry if i hurt ur feelings. @standing5  what u referred as some other reasons is what i'm trying to find out since this ppl have excelled in everyother aspect of life except agriculture. I'm personally trying to find out if hidden risks exist. Thanks for your mature reply
Politicsearn 300% by abouzaid(op):
I have noticed how self styled biafrans have invaded all the nigerian electronic and print media often boasting of their ingenuity in weapon design or mathematics while the other tribes are nothing but beggars and terrorists but the irony of the whole situation is that the east is fed today by the north they look down on. Igbo, efik, ibibio etc have all grown too lazy to grow their own food, the result is that any time there is crises upnorth, the prices of food stuffs in the east doubles two times, just by effecting a 30 months food blockade in the east during the civil war, millions died from starvation in biafra. I have no doubt that if all easterners should go back home and biafra declared, It will take only six months of food blockade to kill millions in biafra and they will still surrender with out nigeria firing a single shot. The east have enough landmass to feed it self. It have enough rainfall to farm through out the year without fear of crop failure due drought. For example, maize is grown two times a year in the east and while it's grown only once here in the north yet the east gets it's supply of maize from the north. Is farming a sin in the east or do they no longer have honour in honest labour? The anambra state goverment, a short while ago acquired large number of tractors for farmers free use and shared out an annual revolving loan of #100 million naira to rice farmers to booster rice farming only for the farmers to move to the cities with the money to set up shops as traders with no background knowledge what else in trading, the result is that most of them closed shop just after one year as traders and the loan was never repaid for other farmers benefit. This clearly demonstrates the warped mentality of the average easterner, looking down on agriculture as a career fit only for almajiris and aboki. The most puzzling thing is that the average igbo man or woman will always tell you that agriculture is a highly profitable business citing the high cost of food stuffs in the east as evidence yet him or her would never undertake it as a career. This lack of interest in agriculture is the reason why eastern cities are filled with armies of youths who unable to achieve their get rich quick targets resorts to crime and prostitution.what good is your talked about education if it can not put food on your table considering that food is the most basic need of man? The biafrans of today are clearly on a path  of self destruction if they should opt out of nigeria come the much prophesied year of 2015.( By east, i mean't the old eastern region and igbo speaking parts of delta and edo state)

How much do we pay this countries for all this useless training that have never materialised into a better army. For goodness sake nigeria have been sending her soldiers for foreign training even before independence yet they can handle a bunch of angry boys in the niger delta or up north. American styled training wont solve nigerian styled problems

^^^ guy if ur girls are not being married by other igbos. It's because they have acquired a well deserved reputation as love peddlars not because the other igbos have ganged up against imo. even in anambra girls from onitsha are avoided like a plague because of their bad reputation, also igbos don't regard girls from cross river and akwa ibom as love peddlars. Don't start an online enemity between brothers        @fxtopedia  those boko haram and almajiris are the one feeding ur over glorified lagos. Agriculture is best practised in the north and i encourage any body interested in large scale agriculture to come up here in the north

i will like to know, did the planes fly ? if yes. did they take off and land successfully like a normal plane. cos we know our pple and their quality of produce.did they build its part or they just assemble/modify use.
I already googled "biafran made missiles" like some ask us to and i cant seem to see any direct claim on biafra making a missile or aircraft/planes. it gave me 2.6 million results, please can u direct me to the exact page/article.
google it and click on the article " 3 decades later, military engineer chronicles the wonders of biafran military intentions" on gbooza.com. Pls post both the article and the link to sun newspaper here for all to read. For the article on radioactive bombs, click the website globalsecurity.com and post both the story and the link to the original newspaper article too. @alh_harem dude i'm not pro biafran but why don't u run the google search before rushing to comment. The radioactive material was sourced from europe but was mysteriously stolen in portugal while in transit probably by a foreign intelligence agency. Run the searches and post the stories here. U too will learn from it
PoliticsRe: Biafra Built Three Planes In 3 Years? by abouzaid: 9:38pm On Nov 10, 2011
I'm using a phone so i can't post links, but just google "biafran made missiles" and u would get recent papers on the ogbunigwe presented in lagos this yr by the biafran head of science and technology unit and the biafran attempt to build a radioactive bomb and how it was strangely sabotaged as reported by the sun newspaper. The newspaper article also gave the reason why the OBJ regime failed to go into a missile technology development treaty with north korea. Only a fool will think that nigera will ever progress with our present crop of clueless, white Bottom licking rulers

AFRICOM is the ultimate way of keeping the chinese out of nigerian oil business just as the libyan rebels were used to keep the same chinese out. The british and american governments are not hiding their discomfort with the presence of the chinese in resource rich african countries. So watch out as their grand conspiracy works out from now to 2015. Yea goodluck to those who are not already dead, because we are clearly heading towards decades long civil war

Most of the people accusing the north of this and that have never been to the north. The average northerner is a peace loving fellow who is horrified by all this latest events. Clearly nigerians are being manipulated to hate each other to the extent where the 2015 elections will degenerate into a civil war that will last 20yrs while the americans secure our oil reserves for themselves and arm both sides to kill each other. Already they have africom on our coast and have engaged in war games to that effect. We seriously need to wake up and know that our lives and future is at stake here.

Nigerians have been brainwashed into believing that any regime that refuses to be a western puppet is evil. I guess the next war theatre for the american industrial military complex will be iran and nigeria since they have already degreed that we must split by 2015
