Ha ha. Reminds me of IMF and CBN Grammar. When i was writing my degree project, most of my class mates have the cbn statistical bulletin and we noticed that 1) a lot of statistics don't add up and are therefore manipulated by the cbn to suit the government image 2) they don't even reflect the reality on ground. It's only a fool would believe that rubbish after paying a visit to the market. Unfortunately our so called academicians don't even have an alternative journal that publishes statistics based on alternative independents research. Our professors are a bunch of educated illiterates in their own fields |
Ur intention and effort is commendable but we need to tackle the cause of extreme poverty and income inequality instead of the manifestation of poverty |
The problem is the increased interference of foreign powers in africa. Believe it or not, obj, ibb, abiola, gej are all puppets being manipulated to keep us in chains and divided. Imagine we import refined petroleum products. Nonsense we need a communist/socialist state period |
A revolution will fix that |
American intervention =sorrow, tears, blood and escalation of violence. From vietnam to iraq. It's only a fool that invites a foreign power to bomb his country even the syrian masses make it clear that they don't want any foreign troop in their countries and nice question why they only see al qaeda in resource rich countries, why don't they see it in developed countries with a large muslim population like england and france? I guess those countries cannot be attacked on false pretenses like they did in iraq. We don't hate america but they should leave us alone, stop predicting our break up in 2015, stop forcing us to be their military base, and stop setting up terrorist groups to fan ethnic and religious hatred among us. Stop giving us aid and drilling our oil, shikenating up terrorist groups to fan ethnic and religious hatred among us. Stop giving us aid and drilling our oil, shikena |
Since u have a better access to the internet start organizing one here and interested ones will join. Nothing short of a revolution will save nigeria |
The same obj tricks, u will be a fool to believe that. And if u have more electricity in ur place them know it's because hydro powerdams produce more electricity in rainy seasons not because he has built new ones or serviced broken down ones |
Pls spread the news that CNN,BBC,even al jazeera are all a bunch of liars. Syria and libya get all the media coverage because their leaders refused to be american puppets while the massacre of protesting citizens continue in bahrain and yemen under a media black out because those corrupt regimes are backed by american govermenent and financial interests. The media that denomized abacha is praising the obj that gave our public companies away, murdered thousands of nigerians in odi and zaki ibiam and we all hate in this country. Now they are telling us that we will split up in 2015 and we have started believing them again. We are really pathetic |
Ha ha, how can traders run their businesses if they can not withdraw more than 100k a day. I will really like to see how this one plays out but pls don't insult ppl religion cos this is sanusi issue not quran after everybody suffers the consequences of this governments misadventures |
Honestly, this should be extended to all igbo land. It seems the oracles in most parts of igbo land have gone to sleep with the advent of christianity. Enugu ezike still have a large pagan community but i like the custom |
There is a general consensus in igbo land that all types of evil become prevalent in igbo land after the civil war and often attributed that the bloodletting, torture, rape, and general breakdown of established moral and ethical norms all constitutes a large scale nso ani (taboo) that need to be cleansed to free us from the social evils bedevilling ani igbo today since such things were unheard of before the war. I'm aware that at the end of the agueri/ umueri conflict, the two towns jointly did an oath taking and cleansing programme that involve proper burial for the war victims to avoid spiritually induced repercussions. The same should be done for the biafran victims but it should be done in a christian manner |
The same clueless gowon that was tricked into a confederation by ojukwu and renegaded on it simply because britain told him to, the same man that gave away oil and gas rich bakassi, may be the british equally sold the idea of ecowas to him and he bought it since all white men to him are very smart. Reminds me of GEJ |
which way nigeria? |
THE UNARMED PROPHET MUST COME TO GRIEF >MAKAVELI |
^^^ i know but the politics section seems to be the most visited and where i am more likely to get an answer. I already have a similar thread in careers but it not being viewed or commented |
NLers pls help me out |
^^^ seriously restructuring nigeria is not enough( Soludo has been advocating for the return to the regional system of government) we need a revolution( a forcefull declaration of position) we youths need to chase out this old, corrupt, clueless set of politicians out and allow a new breed of nationalists but we need to stop all this ethnic bashing on NL and understand that all our politicians despite their difference in tribe/religion are just a bunch of thieves with out a conscience who wipe up ethnic and religious sentiments when it is in their best interest to do so, i think i will rest my case here while we seek a common ground on the above posts |
No body is spreading rumours go to the nigerian page on wikipedia it has both the estimate from BP and the CIA world factbook. They equally made it clear that the estimates are based on low output due to violence in the niger delta and with return of peace the output will increase from 2.2mpd to 3.3mpd (50%) so it will be depleted faster. The 25yrs estimate was published by the department of petroleum resources. U should google it. Update goodluck jonathan wrote on his facebook account on july 27 that nigeria is now the second largest crude oil exporter in OPEC, an impressive rise from our seventh position last year. He attributed this feat to the successful amnesty program. Meaning we now pump far more than the 3.3 million barrels per day that means faster depletion of our oil reserves. Yes we do, their is hardly any nation today that progressed with out some form of revolution that empowered the masses, be it france, usa, china or even the peace loving indian nationalists |
Fulani women are so beautifull and akwa ibom women are great cooks and care givers to men ha ha ha |
^^^ ur right that the current estimates were done based on current extraction technologies but hoping on currently non existing technologies is being over optimistic and not good enough a base for national development planning. What if the oil companies were unable to develop those technologies? So far we could see that despite huge sums of money that has been poured into alternative energy in the last decade, it has failed to produce an alternative/s to crude oil. What makes u to believe that we wont equally fail to produce alternative extraction technologies in time? |
The biggest mistake i have made in my life is to invest in the nigerian stock exchange. We really need a revolution in this country. Imagine big time criminals like ibru and bode george getting as little as 2yrs imprisonment. WE NEED A REVOLUTION NOW |
0.5% of them will buy u a gift from the change of the money u gave to them. So next time u give 10k to ur chic expect a gift of jeans trousers worth 2k. But seriously, most nigeria women believe that no money , no love |

Hmm god forbid bad thing |
^^^ oil is a finite resource and it will eventually run out one day so don't hope on small scale oil seeps to provide man with an eternal supply of cheap crude oil. The first oil well in the world is in oil creek usa and it's already empty and abandoned, the first oil well in nigeria is oloibiri and it's already empty and abandoned, they should have replenished themselves. The 25yrs estimate was published by BP itself and confirmed by nigeria's DPR. U should run google searches on "peak oil","how long will nigeria oil reserves last" and "how long the world crude oil reserves will last". You will be surprised by the search results |
Who said that 25yrs is a long time, beside, don't expect the oil to flow regularly for the next 25yrs. The hubert curve have proved that oil deposits of a nation tend to increase to a maximum point and then slowly but gradually experience fall in output. This is exactly what is happening in usa, yemen etc so i believe that nigeria's oil output will start falling by next 10 to 15yrs.already many oil wells in nigeria are empty and abandoned as the oil companies move to drill out the more difficult and expensive to exploit offshore deposits |
GEJ policy of introducing new universities is totally ill adviced. I was reading the NEEDS Document sometime ago and it stated that the highest type of unemployment in nigeria is graduate unemployment at 80%. For goodness sake we should encourage technical education and farming instead of pushing more students to study courses that are not relevant to our employment needs |
