Neglecting your children was a crime9. Littering the public place was a crime10. Twenty oil depots were built and functioning.11 Western world can't interfere into our nation.12. Chad invaded Nigeria, we sent them packing but did not harness their Land13. Our economy was NOT running on generator14. We can sleep with our eyes closed because we were secured.15. Countries like Indonesia and Malaysia need not to set example on how to deal with drug pushers. 16. The Maitaseine Islamic Sect insurgency in the North was crushed on record time. 17. We want those days when Buhari was a military Governor but did not amass illegal wealth. 18. We want those days when Buhari was a Minister of Petroleum but did not hire a private jet for N10 billion. 19. We want those days when Buhari was a Head of State but did not loot the Treasury. 20. We want those days when Buhari was Head of PTF but did not steal the Fund even in the days of Abacha when stealing was the order of the day. Pls, Buhari & Osinbajo, take us BACK! We can't afford another 4yrs of waste in the hands of PDP!!! Take us BACK to the good old days of this our great nation. #ihavedecided to vote for #change#

Same here uncle bode. its been more than a year since I used my gen. precisely February, 2012 when I began using an inverter and then went solar in march 2013.
I wish nigerians could drop their generator mentality.

I served in kwale in 2008. I enjoyed kwale and will never forget the hospitality.

Obviously, your battery bank is too small for your 2.1kW solar panel array considering the fact that you also dont go below 60% DOD.

If you can double your battery bank, you will see a significant increase in your power generation.

I usually do not advise mixing old and new batteries especially when the old batteries are more than six months and of different model or manufacturer.

yes I agree with you on this. the larger d battery bank the higher d yield.
as for richmond solar world panels. I can bear witness to the fact that solarworld panels generate 120% yield because I was privileged to be with him in one of his numerous sites. He shares some of the daily reults with me after d installation.

Personally, I use joysolar mono panels. during cool weather conditions I do get 1300w from my 1080watts panels. though it doesn't last for over a minute and it happens only once in a while. the average I get is 900watts and as we all know it fluctuates.
Joysolar is a cheap Chinese product. I have been using since around march 2013.
NOTE: I currently use only 9 out of 10 panels. I was using 2 by 2 configuration b4 so I had 5 strings. but now I use 3 by 3 which means I have only 3 strings which ia 9 panels of 120watts.
if I could afford I wd buy solarworld because d whole thing about it built to last. very strong frame as u can even stand on them. the frame holding d cells together is nothing compared to my joysolar.
I remembered when I assited him to load about 24 panels on his truck. those panels were very heavy that I got tired after carrying rhw 4th panels. whereas my 7 year old sister could carry my joysolar.

as salami12 said. .. d cheap ones aint really d best in terms of renewable energy as u get what u pay 4. midrange is a good starting point.

My array is 2.1kw.
These days, na 5kwh+...
I wanna upgrade my array to 3kw, and battery bank to 400+ Ah!

where us ur location. I use approx 1.1kw in kwara and I harvest 4.5kwh average daily.
I strongly fell u should harvest not less than 10kwh daily. fikfik uses 2.1kw and harvest 11kwh.
or is ur installation in any not optimal.

A DIYistTrying to imitate a pro.

About 3 or 4 months ago, a senior colleague contracted to me to procure an inverter for him. He wanted something unique. I contacted richmond and he recomended and supplied a 4kw prag and 4 pcs of J185P-AC trojans. He also provided me with technical support from a to z during installation.
The client was impressed by the performance of the system. Few weeks ago he requested for additional batteries for upgrade. He also saw the need for a good stabiliser as the prag trips off as from 245V. So we need something to bring it down to 220V.
Kiekie was kind enough to offer some flexible payback plan on personal recognition and supplied 4 extra trojans and a 10kva prag servo.

My 3.5kva sukham and 16 pcs of trojans T105-RE batts.
All batteries supplied by Richmond. I started using d batteries around june this year. No regrets. The only problem is the inability to charge to absorption by the sukham. .but my solar has been helpful since richmond advised me to revert to 3×3 configuration. Presently, only 9 out of 10 panels are used. I harvest 4500wh average daily.

my 2 units of luminous 200ah battery which i have used for about 2yrs has decreased in performance......is there anyhting i can do to revive it..like adding distilled water?...or bls?.......any body has good experience with reviving sealed maintainace free deep cycle batts?

I don't have a solution. but kindly tell us how u have been using d batteries.
I mean ur charging and discharging pattern.
so that others can learn from it.
But from my little experience. ..I think 2 years is not too small for luminous batts.

Please how are these particular specs of your Trojan batts performing? Have u had any issues/problems?

They are 6v 225ah. been using them since june. Never had a reason to add water. I rearly drain below 50% soc.

Thank God for His blessings. My solar panels have been producing average of 4500wh daily. Not enough though for my 21600WH trojans. but as soon as money smiles at me..ill add more panels.

3.5kva sukham..48v
16 pcs of trojans T105re batts.
60 amps mppt tristar.

I cant imagine life without my solar generator especially with this heat wave . my fan and frige always working.

I use it mostly for 24hrs. weeks non stop.

@oga George. Nice update u gave. I am equally enjoying my sukham.
I see d 3.5kva sukham as an intelligent guy. My 8kva generator( with refurbished coil) was no longer recognised by it. Though it recognised other smaller new gen ..perhaps d problem was d coil of d gen. All efforts to restore d coil to make it work proved abbortive.
Meanwhile the gen was recognised by all other inverters except d sukham. This is to tell us that anytime bad public supply tries ur home....the sukham is there to protect.

Recently. .I noticed that each time it rains(Heavily) for more than 30min..the sukham will trip off complaining of over load. after so much consultation with senior members. .I later discovered I left a wire un insulated and water was touching it. since I insulated d wires. the guy worked normally. I think d guy is doing well and its designed to protect. I just wish I could equalise my trojans with it.

It was a wonderful experience. An experience that will remain in my memory for a long time. Richmond74 hosted me as a guest for 3 days. During which I had d opportunity to see him install those panels up in one of his numerous sites at lekki. I had d opportunity to climb up d 3 storey building with him and observe.
I also had d privilege to meet some great nairalanders in d forum( though dey are silent readers ).... Also met one on one with Feasy1 ( d big boss) in one the sites. In fact, it was really a blessing.

thanks for bringing back d pix. as I wrote..d best way to read batt soc is to wait for several hours. in my own case I waited less than 5 min. in fact it later went to 48.3v.

I need to raise cash to add more panels. If I am ableto sell d sukham, I'll revert back to my 1.5 kva 24v inverters till I can afford a high end 48v inverter.
