Please has anyone else noticed that glo internet stopped working since around midnight? Could it have something to do with the DNS Changer virus? Up till now I can't access the internet through my glo line.

I did not want to be the harbinger of bad news, that is why I waited for someone else to 'do the honours' before I merely concur. This information you just posted in definitive, authoritative, and, unfortunately. . . .conclusive. I also went to the HQ, and did my own investigations, and got the SAME details you just shared here. Every single sentence in this post is correct, except for miracles of the highest orfer. But then, for those of you with incurable optimism and blind faith, you may keep hoping. Maybe you would force a miracle. I wish you all Goodluck. Nigeria is blessed *sarcastic face*

It was fun waiting on a mirage (for that was what this thread was all about) and relating with anonymous friends on this thread; I even met a few and made one or two friends. All well and good. I hereby sign out. God bless you all.

Jenic: Please Kayi and Galadee was the call for u guys to go to abuja to collect ur employment letters official? I mean dId u receive any call from Hr or a designated staff of nsitf? Or was it through an insider who helped u to get the information and facilitated the collection as a front door candidate? m
Very Good Question. I hope and pray these people know what 'front door' candidate REALLY means.

The man who has many shoes coming to the man who has no shoe to seek advice on which one to wear. Something is seriously wrong with the world.

adah25: @reinedamse,don't even talk about Nafdac here....My friend didn't even apply for the job but got her letter last week(saw the letter my self) she has started documentation dis week, Another got her letter to customs just last month while it was back dated to 11th October and she didn't apply for the job( also saw the original for myself). Just keep ur faith up and if u can get a letter from a senator pls don't hesitate, cos i went there and the first thing the security asked me was if my name was included in a senator's list. The list comprises of recommended and Not recommended...There is nothing God cannot do..
This is heartbreaking. Nigeria. Smh.

afolisho: Its not pasted. A man was kind enough to help me check.
Edited. I reckon that anyone whose name is on the list ought to have been contacted by now.

Apparently, the whole process has been bungled and compromised. This leaves a very sour taste in my mouth.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NSITF Interview In August by aca77: 7:50am On Apr 19, 2012
@ Reinedamse and Clem, you guys are certainly right about the folly of protesting openly. Launching a guerilla media campaign would be more effective than marching to "occupy" NSITF. As strong as our case might seem, we would struggle to prove that we were cheated, or that these back-door mediocres didn't pass through the proper recruitment channels. Therein lies the problem. Those of us that have links with the media can use that to draw some attention to our plight. I for one would definitely do that. Even though I am totally 'source-less" in NSITF, I have a few well-oiled 'sources' in the print media. Let's wait and confirm that orientation actually begins on the 23rd for these back-door charlatans, then we would have to strike.

Besides, I have to say that I have no faith in any so-called second batch or third batch list. If these back-door mediocres can take up the entire slot for the first batch, what makes you think the subsequent batch(es) would not be filled with even more fools with back-door connections? At least with the time gap, the management would believe that the Tope Kuroyo & Co. process is completely dead, and would be emboldened to bring in more aliens. If a reasonable number of those of us that attended the test/chat do not make this first list, then forget any hope of making any subsequent list.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NSITF Interview In August by aca77: 11:08pm On Apr 18, 2012
The test was difficult, as most aptitude tests are. I seriously doubt that anyone with less than above average intelligence/enlightenment would have passed that test without back-door support. I know what I'm saying. Besides, more than 60% of those that wrote the test did not make it to the chat stage; that should tell you something. Then again, many people that applied for officer cadre (who ought to have written the test) were smuggled into the chat venue without sitting for the test. That's how things work in our dear country.

But then, you guys need to visit the average government MDA (federal or state) to see the quality of individuals that occupy mid-level (and in some cases upper level) positions. You would weep for this country. Complete dead-woods that are totally clueless. Worst of all, they're often deeply entrenched and well-versed in office politics in such establishments, and they are usually competent at everything else except their actual jobs.

Notwithstanding, I strongly believe that the ourcome of this whole NSITF saga would be favourable for most of us, by hook or crook.

afolisho: U mean you got the letter with these spellings of yours?!!! Nigeria we hail thee!
No comment, really. Even the Bible says the race is not for the fastest, and neither is the battle for the strongest. . . . . .that's the only way to look at these things. That's life.

reinedamse: ok.this info is coming from the "olori-oko's".This is first hand info from the top of NSITF.No be dem say dem say.
After d rumours of letters being collected started getting serious,i had to go and cry to my dad.(how can a meat sellers child be eating bones?). so he spoke to his colleagues.those of u that truly have sources would know that anything Mrs olufunke A,and Pastor O of nsitf says is credible information.(I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO BE MENTIONING NAMES OOOOOOOOO.BUT I JUST WANT UR MINDS TO BE AT REST.PLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS DO NOT QUOTE ME ANYWHERE.)
anyway the letters have been signed but she refused to comment on those claiming to have received theirs. but the bulk of the letters are still with them and haven't been officially distributed. just be patient.
but if u av legs, now is the time to start using it.after now,it will be too late. But GOD NA D ULTIMATE.
For obvious reasons, this post is music to the ears of those of us waiting for the front door to open. Let's keep the flame of hope burning.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NSITF Interview In August by aca77: 12:26pm On Apr 18, 2012
This Front door-Back door dichotomy has torn this once-united forum apart. Now there is mutual suspicion and mistrust between the front-door hopefuls and the back-door shadowy operators who have all gone quiet. I hope this mistrust wouldn't be carried into the NSITF itself. Thankfully, dem no dey write front door or back door for person face once you manage to get in. It is well.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NSITF Interview In August by aca77: 4:20pm On Apr 16, 2012
So the usual 'Nigerian factor' has come into play once again? Where merit is relegated to the background, and all manner of mediocres are smuggled in ahead of more qualified individuals? Little wonder the country has gone to the dogs and would never develop. If the so-called 'special candidates' are being appointed first, is it not possible that only a handful of qualified candidates (who passed the test and attended the chat) would be selected later to fill in the gaps as it were? Well, God knows best.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NSITF Interview In August by aca77: 11:19am On Apr 14, 2012
How can somebody's "source" (how I hate that word now) collect an appointment letter on his behalf? ? ? Wonders never end I guess. Anyways.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NSITF Interview In August by aca77: 9:12pm On Apr 13, 2012
timbs001: @all, just got a call from a friend we attended the chat together, she said that a friend of hers who works in NSITF said that letters are being issued.

If u ask my opinion, I believe the letters are out but not out officially and those who claimed to have gotten their letters got it through their sources, that's why they seem hesitant to share with us the contents of the appointment letter.
I believe we will soon be called.
@all, let's keep the faith. We will not lose. Amen
It's all adding up now. I believe something has happened, especially as a lot of people are hinting at the 'disappointing' nature of the salaries. Seems the letters are out for those of you whose legs are longer than the rest of us. May God help us.

So you people prefer using 'cipher' to pass your message across or what? Why can't you express yourselves in a clear and unambiguous manner so that fellow forumites would understand what you're saying? Compare these two posts:
Authority01: She has picked up her offer letter and she has 30 days to resume and her documentation starts next week. That is the latest. Wishing you the best
Who in God's name is "SHE"? Why have you kept quiet about that?
Authority01: I benefited alot from your postings, and my only genuine contribution to the house has caused alot huhhuh?? if I were you, I would intensify prayer or pressure on my contact. At the end of it all, alot of you would be disappointed at the pay (take home pay). This my final contribution.
You have not clarified the issues raised in your previous post, and now you're dabbling into issues concerning take home pay! What is the correlation?

Seriously, I can't wait for this tortuous ordeal to be over so that we would be saved from the confusionists in our midst.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NSITF Interview In August by aca77: 4:09pm On Apr 12, 2012
lilodez has sold out, which is quite disappointing. Besides, I believe it would be more believable if any of the established members of this forum indicates that he or she has been contacted concerning the offer letter. It would be difficult to believe any clown that registered a few minutes ago and comes here to tell us stories.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NSITF Interview In August by aca77: 7:02pm On Apr 11, 2012
Anybody talking about 'standard practice' in Nigeria doesn't know what he is talking about. The federal government will give you one month grace to notify your former employer? Because your father's face is on the Naira note or what? Do you know how many people are unemployed or underemployed and desperate to get a Federal Government job? Why should the FG care about a few self-contented people that want to switch jobs? I'm not even saying that the 23rd date is sure, but the fact is that nothing like standard practice here. If private organisations in this country do not adhere to so called standard practice, how much more a government body? Some people really do have a high opinion of themselves.

For some reason I believe the likes of Irom, Urchman, lilodez, and Iyke this time. The end nigh.

Please guys, let's refrain from crying wolf where there is none. . .so that when it finally happens we would know. But then, I can understand why the long and agonising suspense has made some of us delirious in our state of expectation. It is well.
BusinessRe: Dangote To Invest $7Bn In Power & Petrochemicals In Nigeria In 3 Years by aca77: 1:17pm On Apr 10, 2012
Good initiative no doubt. But we must note that Dangote is a capitalist, and so there is nothing altruistic in this ambitious new project. Hopefully this would help triple his net-worth if it proves successful. Therefore I can only commend him for being a focused and smart businessman, not 'thank' or 'praise' him for an initiative that is clearly profit orientated and not in the least charitable.

Lol @ post office box. Woe betide anybody that trusts NIPOST to deliver the ultra-important appointment letter safely. Your appointment letter may accidentally end up as being used to wrap akara or suya along the roadside somewhere.

Flex_sexybone: Am here to tell the truth as it is, raw and undiluted. Someone said last week friday and its gone, even the anticipated tuesday is also gone and now we are all blindly awaiting the end of the month. Fellow compatriots dont you all think its time to stop disturbing your various sources, relax and allow God to do things at his own time. The bible said "he makes all things perfect in his time"
Truth be told, I don't see anything wrong with this line of thought. We all know how many times our hopes have been dashed on this thread - since November last year. As much as we need to be hopeful, we also have to be realistic. These "sources" have so far not been too reliable; it makes no sense to keep hanging on their fickle words. The outcome of this whole wait promises to be favourable for most, if not all of us...all we need to do is wait, pray, and believe.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NSITF Interview In August by aca77: 2:23pm On Mar 27, 2012
assalambj: Will d list be published in d Newspapers today? Hmmmmm, just thinking aloud oh. Gud morning!
Lol. I've seen it all on this thread . . .from the sublime to the ridiculous. I find it laughable that some of us are expecting to see an
employment list published in a newspaper! As if it's a federal university's admission list or something. Na wa for my people oh.

Anyway, the wait for the all-important phone call or text message is on. In God we trust.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NSITF Interview In August by aca77: 7:15pm On Mar 22, 2012
This is fast becoming similar to UFO sightings.

Some would say only 1400 names are on the all-important list (with only 2% left for the masses), some would say it's not even up to 1400, some would say it's 2,000 names. Some say tomorrow is the D-Day, some say it is Tuesday, some say it's before the end of the month, some others simply say it's 'very soon'.

In all of this, we can only have faith in providence, not mere sources. Source pass source, abi no be so? God is the ultimate source, and if it is meant to be, it will be. In any case, the heavens won't fall.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NSITF Interview In August by aca77: 8:23pm On Mar 19, 2012
I reckon they wouldn't just send appointment letters to our addresses just like that, as if it's Jamb result slip. They would call or send sms to successful candidates, communicating the next steps in the process, abi no be so? In that case we should be expecting their phone call or sms first and foremost before anything else.
Nairaland GeneralRe: New Nairaland: State Of The Forum by aca77: 10:35am On Mar 12, 2012
I don't get it. Na who send you work in the first place. Is there a convincing reason why you had to effect a dictatorial change to a new site when most of us were OK with the foremer site? At least it's not like we were complaining about the old one. You might lose up to 70% of your traffic if you're not careful. You should have improved on the old site one feature at a time, rather than this dramatic change from good to terrible.

This whole thing is affecting a very important thread I have been following for a long time, and that is my main anger really.
Nairaland GeneralRe: "Nairaland 2.0" Is Live! Any Questions Or Feedback? by aca77: 10:03pm On Mar 11, 2012
This is a disaster. Whatever happened to updated topics? The followed tab is ridiculous as it contains even topics that are not updated, and everything is lumped up and confusing. I can't believe the owner (as seun proudly likes to call himself) of the site would go ahead and impose this on everybody as if we do not matter. Seems he is taking it for granted that traffic to the site is guarantteed whether we like it or not. Success does get to the head doesnt it. But then pride goes before a fall.

Any of you guys there can holla. . .might be a good opportunity to know exactly whats going on with our employment.
