^^ Are your there already? Do let us know when the event would start if you now have that information, I would have been there if not that I have a couple of tight deadlines for the jobs I'm handling now. |
zico2:You're only worsening the anxiety and suspense. lol. Thanks for shedding light on this issue and enlightening us beyond doubts. I really can't wait. God would fight for his children. irom:I can't imagine being posted there. That means I'd be strolling to work cos I live quite close. Anyways. I would check out the place later. |
Na wa oh. When will this suspense end? To think that we started this recruitment process almost a year ago. |
It tells a lot about the organisation we'd soon be working for if its cleaners and janitors are "smartly dressed" enough to attract attention from passers-by. It must be a great place to work and I'm looking forward to it. In other words, I'm relieved the matter has been clarified by dotman. |
We're all brothers and sisters here now. We're like a clique sort of. So please lets not break into factions at this critical point. Would be nice to identify each other finally at the traaining camp. Lets share insights and stick together, please. |
Nosyke:Really? Do you have a rough estimate of how many candidates had theirs in Abuja? Seems we might be much more than I hoped. . .500 jobs might just be terribly insufficient. Ibusho:I wasn't asked any question oh, we just had our credentials cross-checked and then submitted the two binded copies. No discussion, questioning, or 'interview' whatsoever. How come you guys had actual interviews and we didn't? |
timbs001:Exactly. I was at first apprehensive when Stacey mentioned the text thing but on second thought, I wondered what kind of yeye "details" NSITF would need from us again when they already have all the details about us - down to our home addresses, emails, phone numbers, qualifications, etc. Abi na our shoe sizes dem wan know again? Let's just hope for the best. Anyone receiving a text to send their 'details' may have some complications or irregularities. Meanwhile, someone should PLEASE help is find out how many people came for the chat/interviews. I think the candidates came from all over the country for the Lagos chats, so I don't think there were others in ABJ or elsewhere, I stand to be corrected. Anyway, This job is signed, sealed and delivered IJN. No other outcome is even thinkable. |
@ Broncop, Abeg do you (or any one else here) have an idea of how many people were invited for the chat? Since you say only 500 people would be employed, I need to know how many people were invited for the chat - in order to put everything into proper perspective. This is critical. |
^ Thanks, but no thanks. We already have a (better) job waiting. |
honsule:The Great Honsule. Thanks a lot man, this method worked quite nicely; solved most of the certificate problems for some of the apps I've been trying to install. It particularly solved all the 'certificate error' and 'expired certificate' issues. The only thing left now is the error "Cannot Install. Constrained by Certificate". This popped up when I wanted to install some cracked HD games. If there is a solution to this, I would be very happy. Otherwise, I'm contented with the progress made, still. Cheers. |
Honourable, I can't get a hang of the complicated hacking method described on page 18. I just need an easy and straighforward way to rid my phone of this certificate error nuisance. Cert and keys would be all I need. Besides the darn S60cetkey.com website is no longer working, my application for cert keys have been 'pending' for ages. I need to install some great cracked unsigned apps for me to start enjoying this my e7. Please HELP. Nokia e7, imei - 354864047653770. Thanks a great deal (in anticipation). |
I'm not sure I can wait till next year oh. We need to get this over and done with asap. Ill-wishers should stay away. |
I thought this thread was supposed to be about the comparative smartness (in criminality) between Tinubu and Ibori? But as usual the e-maniacs have succeeded in derailing the thread. Anyways. Tinubu isn't necessarily a smarter thief than Ibori, although he is a much smarter (and luckier) politician - and that has helped cover up his monumental criminality. We can't neglect the role of luck and ill-luck in human affairs. If Yar'Adua was still alive, Ibori would never have been hounded out of Nigeria, arrested, or extradited to the UK. He would still be freely shuttling between Abuja and Delta state as perhaps the most Influential South South politician in the country as he was during Yar'Adua's administration. Besides, Ibori was very unlucky with the whole London misadventure, and that was a very unfortunate mistake on his part. But on the whole, I'm very impressed with Tinubu's criminal mind. His political mastery is perhaps the biggest reason why he has successfully covered his 'lootprints'. Having so much influence in the south west, and being perhaps the biggest opposition figure means that any valid corruption allegation against him would be condemned as "an attempt to stifle the opposition". Brilliant politricks if you ask me. Yet none of his fawning apostles can tell us how he came about so much wealth. Surely, he must have long exhausted his retirement benefits from Mobil. |
Nokia e7, imei - 354864047653770. Bros, please help your boy with cert and key, I need it desperately. Thanks. |
Lol. I wonder who would be the first person amongst us Nairalanders to receive that life-saving text or call inviting us to come for our appointment letter. The anxiety is KILLING. |
Seriously, it seems our optimism is not misplaced. The number of people that passed the test and were invited for the chat was less than 5% of those that applied and wrote the test. I remember the population at the test venue in Illupeju was like a small city. And for us to pass the test is the biggest task there was, not easy. I'm having a really good vibe about this. Besides, I believe this state of origin thing because one girl that sat beside me while we waited for the 'chat' confessed that an insider asked her to change from her original state (Delta) to her Husband's state (Anambra) because the quota for Delta state was full already. Na wah. All is well that ends well. |
My good people, I dont think we have to allow anxiety to take over@Kuma, Thanks a lot for this. I believe every word and punctuation mark in this post! The wait continues, hopefully not for too long. |
@ Garnetty, I'm definitely not pessimistic oh, just wanted to gather more info from ya'll, and now I know some of you actually had an interview. What position/ level did you apply for? Ah, how come you had a proper chat/interview and most of us didn't? I hope that doen't signal wahala for us. I originally applied for Officer II Admin, but on the day of the 'chat', I discovered I was assigned to Officer I Enforcement. Abeg oh, please let me know whats up, you seem to be well-informed. Thanks. |
Welldone guys. I've been following the thread, and I like the optimism. I'm also looking forward to the employment letter lagbara Olorun. But i was wondering: isn't it wierd that there was no interview per say? Even the so called chat was merely a verification exercise. Seems the selecrion would be done like kalokalo lottery, since i guess the people that passed the test and attended the chat are far more than the available positions? Or maybe there's something I don't know? |
You have to wonder: if Okafor was that good, why is he an ex? Ok if u say maybe he was the one that dumped Okafee(f), you also have to wonder whether Okafee(f) has any pride or shame at all for her legs to be always open to the Okafor that dumped her, even if he was really better than her present bf or husband. Is that how much woman also Love Intimacy that they lose their shame for it? I thought it was only men that think with their Joysticks, if this law is true, then it means women also think with their womanlinesses? Is there something I dont know? Questions questions. |

I'm currently torn between the Nokia N8 and Blackberry Torch. I've been confused all week as per which one to buy. The N8 obviously has far more features than the blackberry torch can ever dream of (e.g. Scratch resistant "Gorilla" touchscreen, TV-out, FM transmitter, 12mp camera, USB on the go <not ordinary micro usb oh>, etc etc), but then I feel left out in the pinging craze since most of my friends and 'toastee babes' use BBs. And since BB Torch is probably the best BB and with touchscreen, I am not sure whether to go for it or settle for the outstanding but 'pingless' Nokia N8 - and they're both roughly the same price range although the BB torch is slightly more expensive for reasons I dont know. I need help before I go insane here! |
It's well over a month now and I've still not heard from glo as per my overscratched recharge cards. Just called the customer care (another dumb girl) and all she could say was why did I submit the recharge cards at their office, that I would have to go there again to seek help! Seriously, I feel like throwing up anytime I see glo adverts now. The network is entirely useless. |
I earlier stumbled on this Marilyn Monroe quote, and I assume she meant that if a guy can make a girl laugh, then it is easy for him to get into her heart or pants (or both, whichever is the guy's priority). Ladies, how true is this? How important is sense of humour in successfully breaking your defences and getting into your |
memento:The uselessness of their internet is already common knowledge. I opened a thread to complain about that several months ago. Till today, no noticeable improvement. The 3g network woverage has to be the worst in the world. When you're browsing, the connection keeps fluctuating between 3g, edge and Gprs. . .thereby interrupting your browing and breaking your downloads. And to think that I stay around the Ikeja area! If a major area like the Ikeja/GRA/Maryland axis cannot have stable 3G coverage, then I wonder what the case would be for all the suburbs like Abule-Egba, Okokomaiko and such places. MTN's 3G is universal and ever steady! Yet this useless company called glo would be making stupid noise about their Glo 1 sub-marine cable and all that. This company sucks in every way. I regret being on the network. . .wish I could migrate to another network and retain my existing phone number. |
I really don't understand this useless company called glo. Their recharge cards are of such low quality that even the slightest pressure from one's finger-nails tends to scratch off the card numbers. Only Glo has this problem, as I also use other networks (MTN, Etisalat, Starcomms and Airtel) and have NEVER encountered an 'overscratching' problem with their cards. I had two overscratched cards and after trying for an eternity, I finally got through to their customer care. . .only for the incompetent oafs to tell me that they cannot help me over the air, and that I would have to go to a gloworld office. On Tuesday, I went to their office, and they asked me to fill a form and attach the over-scratched cards to the form. They then promised that my line would be credited with the N1,500 value of the cards within 24 hours. Since Tuesday till today Friday I have not yet received the credit! What sort of useless company is this? Why must any wholly Nigerian owned company be mediocre? This is just ridiculous. |
nanidee2:Yeah I've seen this happen quite often. Then you wonder if its necessary to be good to people (in a relationship or otherwise) since all they'll remember is the odd 'bad' thing you would inevitably do. . .since an even greater characteristic of human nature is that we're not perfect, and so we can never do 100% good all the time. So why try? M M M:No I don't. Why not enlighten me? |
madoba:That's so so true, and its totally bad. I've seen this happen so many times not only in relationships but also in other aspects of family, friendship, and business life. And yes, an ex is currently hating on me. And I am inclined to believe that the feeling is mutual. . . .its amazing how the good past just blurs in people's memories. |
. . . . . . .and the centre can no longer hold, why do people suddenly forget the many good things their partner must have done in the past and choose to only express so much hate and contempt? This is one of the things that make some die hard people reject the whole idea of love and romance, that it is too artificial. One moment you're singing "together forever, you and I", or "you are the best thing that has ever happened to me". But, the next moment you would start singing "I hate you so much right now"! Why do people forget the good done in the past? What are people so ungrateful when they fall out of love? |
