you're right. But, what are the right reasons for dating then? People go into it for several reasons. Companionship. Sex. Money. Everyone has a reason. In all that confusion thats where it gets distracting. Thats where we loose ourselves. Maybe, just maybe its meant for those that want to settle down. Cause apart from that all i see is individual reasons which differ from sex to money to companionship and that causes problems which could have been avoided. But then again youre right, but also, not every scenario you pointed out works best.

To educate you a little on your thread...there are also some disadvantages of staying off relationship....also, you can date and still be focus amidst the headaches...it all boils down to the individual ...

bro, i just had to chip it now, who says ur purpose and relationship must nt necessarily align? gettin a sound relationship is also part of purpose. wat i will say instead is to date at d rite time and it wnt be a burden. purpose and relationship are nt mutually exclusive.

lets agree on one thing, most people date cause they like eachother. Simple. Then they try to spend more time together. Have sex. Keep eachother close. Worry about cheating. All these arent important. You can have all this without dating. Dating ruins friendship. And you breakup with 10 out of 10 girls you date. Thats just the truth.

For me, 2013. I've been able to work on my personal ambition since and fulfilled half of it. Oh and Yes i do have some fun once in a while but its not a priority and i dont plan on dating anytime soon. So whats the longest period you've gone without dating?
