PoliticsRe: Buhari Blames Flood, Insecurity, Middlemen For Rising Food Prices by accountantben: 3:33pm On Jul 20, 2021
How long are we going to be patience? Mr President. Pls we need action and not patience. These aforementioned issues have eluded us all. And we don't know where to run to for help. Nigerians are hungry. People have involved on different vices all in the name of making ends meet. Nigerians doesn't cherish life again, they are killing their fellow human's all in the name of making money. Kidnapping is now a business ventures for some. Help beef our security! Help combat crime and banditry in our land!! Declare a state of emergency for these set of individuals. Infact, declare war against them. The death tour is too alarming and we cannot continue to live in perpetual fear in our land. Nigeria belongs to all of us. Drive the fight of insecurity without sentiment while we hope that things will take normal shape in the long run. God bless Nigeria.
CelebritiesRe: A Look Into Obi Cubana's Family & Why His Mother Deserves A Befitting Burial by accountantben: 5:55pm On Jul 18, 2021
THE NIGERIAN DREAM (OBI CUBANA & CO)
There is nothing wrong in spending the money you legitimately earned on the things you love. People tend to spend their resources on the thing that gives them the greatest happiness. Happiness itself is subjective. One man's meet is another man's poison.

Many Europeans spend millions of dollars on paintings, antique, archeological artifacts, tourism, super yachts, private jets, expensive vintage wines, lavish parties, mansions, diamond encrusted jewelry, autographed memorabilia, 7 star hotels, Rolce Royces, Bentleys, Ferraris, Lamborghini and Bugatti, and more recently, trips to space in special shuttles. There is no shortage of things to spend money on when you get the stuff.

Many billionaires live lavish and many others especially cerebral ones live modestly in one area and do conspicuous consumption in other areas of life. It appears humans are generally wired to desire the good life, and show it to others. They merely express this desire differently. Some people desire lots of money to reach a certain level of happiness. It depends on your values. Whatever makes you come alive, puts you in charge, and get people to reference you in a way that you love, may be the source of your happiness. The bottomline is a sense of accomplishment, happiness and self actualization. Some people get that THING with lots of money, and others get it with little amounts of money. For Bob Marley, it is living forever in the hearts of men through his music. For Bill gates, it is been able to solve practical and existential problems of the world. For some others, it is making heaven. For me, It is not anyone's business,or should it be?

We put our treasure where our heart is. If you desire the respect and worship of people in your lifetime a lot, you will tend to spend your money on things that people will praise you for. If you desire the respect of posterity, you will tend to spend your money and life on things that last longer than your lifetime. If you desire the enjoyment of physical self more than anything else, you will become like Epicurus who said "Let us eat and drink today, for tomorrow we shall die". We all are wired to desire happiness. In this pursuit, we desire it differently. Some are oriented towards the transient, while others are oriented towards the 'permanent' if it is at all possible. One man's groove is another man's vanity.

The average Nigerian is inclined towards self aggrandizement, outward displays of wealth, and general exhibitionism. They love parties, praise singing and extravagance. They also love to find creative ways to celebrate adversity, like making a party out of the death of a loved one. They could borrow money to fund a wedding and live in a poverty stricken marriage. The idea is to keep up appearances that all is well. In this clime, people will give you money to waste in dead weight expenditures like parties and funerals, but would not give you money to fund a business. We love to show the world that we are the boss. FESTAC 77 was all about that. Now the roof of the theater is leaking.

Family values, religion, education, talents, peer factors, vocation, work, ease or difficulty of getting money, exposure, prevailing cultural influence, and personal motivations inspire people's actions. If I had the kind of money that was spent in Oba, Anambra state by the Cubana gang, I would in all likelihood behave differently given what I know. However, it is not my call. Let those who have money chop it!
FamilyRe: Should Husband And Wife Have A Joint Account? by accountantben: 9:07pm On Jul 10, 2021
It's advisable for partners to have a joint account. And the mandate should be either to sign. The reason for this is very simple;
1. It save partners from embarrassment in the event that one of them dead. The process of going to court, and getting a probate report in order to manage a deceased account is very cubersome in this part of our country. Moreover, even when you succeeded in getting probate on deceased account, the court is still entitle to 15% of whatever balance in that account, before the beneficiary can now take full access to the account.
2. Secondly, in the event that one of the partner is seriously down, and cannot even go to the bank for withdrawal or where there is an emergency situation. The co-signatory can easily access the account and make necessary payments on behalf of the other partner. Doing so will go a long way to safe a partner life considering the fact that our hospitals these days does not attend to patient without deposits.
3. Thirdly, in the event that one partner travelled out of the country, would you starve your family just because you are not in town?
The reasons are numerous. Time will not permit me to continue to mention them.

Hence, it is advisable for partners to have joint account. Having it will help them to be prudent in their spending. They can't transact on the account without both reaching on agreement even when extended family needs is out stake.
The above circumstances can be avoided if both partners agreed to run their account togather. It has help me alot, and am not regretting it cos I married a prudent woman. We work together as team, and whatever decision we take is bidding on both of us.
My advice is for guys to define their marriage before embarking on it. Don't allow illusion to take over your common sense.
Have a nice day guys.

PoliticsRe: #EndSARS Protest In Ekpoma Turns Violent As Protesters Clash With Police by accountantben: 9:57pm On Oct 09, 2020
The white men came into Africa uninvited in the medieval stage of human development . They, in collaboration with our ignorant and greedy elders took away most of the vabriant youths in their prime into slavery leaving behind the sick, disabled and weaklings.. they in return brought religion and education teaching us to leave our religion and language and choose their mother tongue as our ligua franca..
The religion they brought never supported slavery.. neither did rational reasoning and logic in academics did....
Our people were used to develop the Americas and the Europe when machine had not replace human labour. We worked tirelessly and compulsorily on there plantations without pay, compensation or renumeration. The book " HOW EUROPE UNDERDEVELOPED ARRICA" by WALTER ROONEY also put to light the economic implications of the activities of the europeans in contributing to Africa underdevelopment.
Our boys might not have the moral justification for defrauding the white as much as the white might not have the moral justification for the slavery of their forefathers.
Our leaders as a nation have not helped matters. They have defrauded each and every one of us.. they have deprived us of education and industrial development that can guarantee a future for the growing population.
We are in world of moral bankruptcy.. where the ritheous, academically qualified and scrupplelous suffers.
He that must come to equity must come with clean hands......
Before we can preach ritheousness let the politicians, professors, religious leaders, capitalists, and the police live with example.
Our youths are too small and naive to rationalize....they need Examples....we need Examples.. where are the examples?...

I so much cherish this blog. Have seen the various comments which sound so nice and interesting. I left my parents house after my nysc, I should be around 28 yrs then. But some niggars in Benin are yet to leave their parents house. These guys in question have clock 35 to 40. These guys are still in their parents house all in the name of I want to travel abroad. They are waiting for their little sister's who travelled to Italy all in the name of prostitution to come and take them to oversea. Hence, it is only in Benin you will find these set of people.
PoliticsRe: Oshiomhole Once Wanted Building Named After Obaseki For ‘selfless Service’ by accountantben: 10:08pm On Jun 13, 2020
Politics is a game.It is played by the smarts not anybody.you must perfect your skills to succeed. It is a game of tricks and maneuvers.you must be on top of your game to outsmart your opponent. This is same in all games whether football etc.It is not about ones achievements alone but you ability to capture and remain in power through tick and tin.I don't know why some us see it as one way traffic.Whatever happened recently didn't happen over night.it is a case of one believing in his 433 formation and the other believing in his tiki taka and spiecing it up with match fixing to get an edge.Commend both contestants ,it was worth it.one loose the other gained.lets move on.Thanks.

PoliticsRe: COVID-19: Abba Kyari’s Whereabouts In Lagos Is Personal To Him – Tony Momoh by accountantben: 8:30pm On Apr 13, 2020
In a democratic system like ours, Nigerians have every right to demand for the chief of staff where about in Lagos. He is a public servant, and we pay for the services he is rendering to this country. Hence, he shouldn't withhold himself from Nigerians who are paying his bills.
Therefore, we demand to know how he is doing. Lastly, I'm wishing him quick recovery so that he can continue with his service to the nation.
SportsRe: Alexis Sanchez Not Willing To Get Wage Cut To Exit Man Utd by accountantben: 7:56am On Apr 08, 2020
I don't blame Sanchez but rather Mourinho who brought this good for nothing player to Manutd. I think the best way to go is to terminate the contract and pay him all his entitlement. His continue presence in this club will bring about dressing room issues. You can't imagine someone who is not playing but is earning more than those that are playing. It's better we get rid of him.

What parameters are they using to ascertain the poorest household. I don't think there is any data for the poorest household in this Country. We should tell ourselves the truth and stop using the masses to loot from our treasury. Everything that has beginning, definately have an end. If you believe you are in power and you can choose to do whatever you want, I want you to know that there is gonna be a day when we all shall stand before the almighty while our stewardship will be review by his Angels. God will surely visit anyone with more plague as he has started with those who have turned this country into personal business.

The state of insecurity is becoming unbearable. It's hard time we apply all measures to curtail the high rate of crime in this country.
