Sports / Chisora Suspended Over Row With Haye by Acelifted: 3:29pm On Mar 01, 2012
DERECK Chisora has been suspended indefinitely by the World Boxing Council for his behaviour before and after his fight with Vitali Klitschko.

British heavyweight Chisora was involved in a brawl with countryman David Haye at the news conference after his defeat by the Ukrainian in Munich. Chisora also slapped Klitschko at the weigh-in and spat water in the face of his brother Wladimir before the bout.

The WBC said it was "one of the worst behaviours ever by a professional".

The body demanded Chisora, 28, should seek anger management treatment before it considers whether to lift the suspension.

Jose Sulaiman, president of the WBC, said the authority would also look to impose a "serious" fine on the Zimbabwe-born fighter.

Yoruba women and their funny ways

On the topic actual: Pls correct if my wrong, how can there be an amicable settlement if the woman is already pleading "Not Guilty"?

Education / Re: Why Do People Hate/fear Mathematics? by Acelifted: 11:56am On Feb 27, 2012
I think it has to do with the way its been taught in our schools. Mathematics teachers are naturally wicked, or so it seems. it takes a lot of gentleness and persuasion to teach that subject.

Religion / Re: Stop It! No One Spoke In Unknown Tongues In The Bible! by Acelifted: 3:22pm On Feb 23, 2012
I can see people are enjoying this topic, usually controversial. There is enough evidence from the thread (Bible verses in KJV) to support the fact that the apostles and early Christians spoke in "unknown" tongues. It was called unknown because the natural human mind cannot fathom it. 'Unknown Tongues' is a gift to the body of Christ - a very lethal weapon for Christians against the devil , now you know why he is fighting it, even on nairaland. whether you believe it or not, the truth remains the truth and you will answer to this truth somewhere down the road of your life, here or there.

Car Talk / Re: Sienna, Viper Etc Please Advice Me About Which Car To Buy. by Acelifted: 11:30pm On Jan 15, 2012
Buy a car you know comes easy for the ordinary Nigerian mechanics to repair and get the parts without hassle or delay. Toyota (Camry, Corolla, Sienna, RAV4, Highlander etc), Honda (Accord, Civic, CRV etc), BMW (3-series, bcoz of fuel subsidy), Mercedes (C-series), Nissan (Pathfinder, Primera, Altima etc).

Goodluck! (not Jonathan). grin

Phones / Re: What Do You Do With Ur Bb? by Acelifted: 12:05pm On Dec 09, 2011
I think BB is still over-rated, just like Toyota cars. Nigerians are so easily deceived by silly things. A good Nokia phone will satisfy your need, just like a good Honda or Nissan or even Hyundai will do the magic any Toyota car will do. why put yourself in harms-way (exposed to armed robbery)?
Phones / Re: Whats the difference between Blackberry Bold 2 And Bold 3 by Acelifted: 11:57am On Dec 09, 2011
Hi, I know you guys are BB Freaks. But i still hope to get a fair and objective judgement from you guys. In the light of all these craze about Blackberry, I want to know if a good Nokia phone cannot do some of the things that BB does. I don't want to go with the craze, and i just prefer to stick with my Nokia. Is it really a good decision, considering my internet/computer related job?

Please compare in terms of Functionality and Price.

Politics / Re: Do You Pay N30,000 To The Nigeiran Fire Service For "fire Report"? by Acelifted: 9:17pm On Dec 07, 2011
To get an Approval to construct/ license to operate any facility in the downstream sector from DPR, a "Fire Report" and a Police Report are compulsory. An yes here in Lagos, it costs about N30k.

Does this also apply persons who personal belpongings got burnt in a fire and is just trying to get a fire report to facilitate the re-acquisition of his or her certificates?

Or is there another name it is called (may be not fire report)?

The official doc is called Incident report and is required for insurance purposes etc. This should be free.

What do we do to get this document? does that mean we have to cough out this N30,000 they are asking for? can we ever do anything right in this country? do you advise we get a lawyer involved? can a lawyer even stand this force of corruption without caving in?

Any advice will help. We really need to get these credentials.
