I'm forced to comment, I'm sure it'd reduce the fear some Nigerian doctors has instilled in some of the readers. You can't get an arrest while having sex except you're on some sexual enchaners or you're above a certain age.. Your heart is over working, after male orgasm, the heart slows down automatically, hence your penis losing erection. You need brief minutes of rest before engaging.. Exercise daily and stay off sexual enhancers, drink water regularly and you good to go.. No need instilling fear.. Some of these doctors wanna show off.. And they barely passed med school. |

zed7: When you have an 'adult' or teenager under your roof, anything can happen. It can even happen to the best trained biological child. I have learnt how to stop judging. I could have gotten girls pregnant also but I was just lucky. My parents talked and also raised me well but as a young man, we still went ahead and took stupid risks.
If my sons, do ever get a girl pregnant before time (I pray not), I will have to force them to take responsibility. Everyone should be responsible for his or her actions.
In your case, track down the boy and force him to take responsibility, if the family refuses, please sue for rape. He raped a minor. You cannot come and derail someone's life and then go about enjoying yours. Perfect and very reasonable response... Keep it up. |

lhordspy: Russian effect.
How mighty Countries like Germany, UK and France all of a sudden turned United state puppet and foot-stool is still what i dont get.
These big countries dont even have their voices anymore, they cant make decisions for themselves anymore.
The US carried out a terrorist attack by blowing up the Russian Nord stream pipeline transporting gas to Germany. Germany kept quiet like a Dundee, a whole former world power turned into a puppet. Now france who is also battling its own economical issue is the one helping germany with gas.
Things now falling apart and the center not holding anymore. Winter is coming Europe. This is just the beginning. The sanctioners are feeling the heat more than the sanctioned. Lol
I foresee more protest of this type, but with a different magnitude across europe in the coming few weeks.
Russia is nobody's mate . You laid it out exactly the way it is.. |
Events › Re: Remembering FESTAC 77, Nigeria's Biggest Party by achillesfoot(m): 5:08pm On Oct 17, 2022*. Modified: 8:21pm On Oct 17, 2022 |
semitunde: Festac is still the best planned estate in the country to date. Many of the infrastructure were messed up by the military and their lackeys though. 1. Underground sewage and flood water drainage system with mechanical sewage system plants stationed and working to put clean water into the manmade canal and green areas surrounding the town.
2. Underground electrical supply system. With equipments to spot and pinpoint where a cable underground might be faulty. The transformers stations were so ahead of their time that it had emergency backup light to work in the stations when there was no light ( which was rare at the time). The transformers were housed and had several gadgets to make sure fault from any close or block can be located, isolated, and worked upon with minimal fuss.
3. There were traffic lights everywhere. And they were so we'll programmed that there were hardly and strain waiting on a red light. It taught me from that childhood to always wait on a red light because my dad would always wait.
4. There were so many interconnecting roads that it was not possible to have a hold up in festac at that time. There were always options.
5. There were phone booths everywhere, and they worked. You had coins? You can call anywhere in the world if you have the phone number.
6. Phones in every block of flats for emergency. This was actually phenomenal. And yes, they worked. Not that we as children at that time knew what it was for. We probably damaged it while playing with it.
7. There were play areas everywhere. These had things like swings, seesaws, slides and other children play things. You can't walk for 15minutes and not find a play area to rest or play at. This was one of the first things subsequent military juntas focused on and destroyed. They sold or built on almost all the play areas to the extent that residents started physically resisting without success people that bought lands. There were areas earmarked for further development, but those in government wanted the already developed part of the town and decided to mess up infrastructure as a means to that end. They built over several underground electrical and drainage nexus ( which were located in the play areas for easy servicing) that festac started having drainge and electrics issues that could only be solved if they removed the huge mansions built on top of those places. Of course the owners with connections in government resisted. In the end, festac had to abandon the still working underground system, cut the trees lining most of the roads, so as to install overhead election lines and transformes. The original festac transformers were mostly stolen piece by piece by NEPA workers. Equipments for maintenance were stolen too.
8. It's the only estate that actually brought together and intermingled homes of different and diverse financial levels. It made any resident of festac, whether poor or rich, very confident in outlook to life. They've seen the best. You couldn't oppress them with even pictures of other places. There were always similar or better places to point to in festac.
9. Those luxury buses mentioned in the thread were true. I remember my mom would take me walking to 5th avenue to take a bus. That was their last busstop then. It was still called last busstop for a long time after the buses stoped coming. But a change of route by danfos meant 5th avenue became less popular as they preferred going through 23 road.
10. Most festac resident then were used to walking around. No bikes. Keke marwa didn't exist. But most importantly, there were trees lining both sides of every road such that you hardly feel the sun and would walk long distances to visit friends without feeling the strain. Festac is very big. But as children, we would take long walks to far places without thinking twice about it.
11. The canal was a good fishing spot for both adults and children. Since the water going into it was both from storm runoff and treated sewage, many people took it as just a normal river encircling festac and going all the way to Apapa.
12. The only town were you could actually find people from ALL parts of the country staying together. The education from this, you can't get in in any book. You'll hardly find any festac person, especially of my generation holding in to tribal beliefs or tribalism because you just have too many of friends and neighbors from other tribes!
Talking in detail about how things were messed up along the way is a long discourse in it's own that showed and shows Nigeria's selfishness, shallowness, nepotism, greed, and all other bad traits especially in people who should be leaders. . You're TRULY straight outta FESTAC. Okay let me write about the little I know, From last bustop straight down to 7th Avenue then to 23 road, where you have the market.. Then you can drive straight from 7th Avenue to Alakija, I don't know if the spelling right, most of those places are where you have majority of the culprits you mentioned.. Building on top power lines and sewage spots, Churches, mechanic shops etc... That's all i can remember now.. |

I'm forced to highlight a certain information... No woman and I repeat no woman gives sex for free, the only free sex is forcefully taken and is called rape, you all know the aftermath... Women are the most powerful beings on earth with the power to bless and to destroy... Unfortunately women are enemies to themselves hence their present situation... It's still a man's world but the price is very high... Let me stop here. Let me modify this, if a woman is giving you free sex when you have nothing, she sees a future with you asides that no show.. |

AllDModsAreMaad: Aside from spiritual stuff, those women are just on a mission of getting pregnant and having their own kids.
To them it is more beneficial than going the normal way, in the sense that: 1. They don't have to worry about the fate later on because the probability of the man coming back is very minimal. 2. They spend less and get it easily. 3. And so on...
But it is all rub bish, because they form queens and royals online and go offline to do all sort of rub bish. So if a woman decides to get pregnant it's through an Uber driver... My friend, you know nothing about a WOMAN... |

kingyakos: Where is the beauty of election without opposition, without support. Even the worst or the poorest candidate will always have a supporter, support base on personal interest, tribe or religion there must always be a supporter. If any candidate is accepted massively beyond his region it shows there's a glimpse of unity by the citizens. It's only our politicians who mostly plays the tribal and religious card at a time like this that makes it look as if there's no unity among us.
As u can see the Muslim Muslim ticket by the brown roof like teeth, demented thief of a drug addict who think it's his turn to rule is widely unaccepted by Nigerians even in his party, tribe and religion it is unaccepted for the unity of the country.
Please i apologize if you picked any offense in my previous post Oh no Kingyakos, how can I be offended? I wish to hear a different opinion than mine... 2 people replied but I chose to go with yours cos you made sense. The other dude isn't as reasonable as you... Here's my response.. Are you quite sure Nigerians are united as you think?? I believe you go through nairaland and see the same youths openly showing their support for someone who's only ambition is to be president.. Doesn't that give you goosebumps?? They write long notes and attack reasonable thoughts.. I'm forced to think there are still division and that division is going to cost the preferred candidate (PO) this election.. |

kingyakos: If in your eyes you see non of the candidate competent enough to turn things around in nigeria, i think you've been veiled in your own dimension of thought. They're countries that were once wosrt than nigeria with 99% corrupt leaders but the citizens awakening with the natural wave of change and a leader that works in simplicity transformed the country for good. . Lovely, It's this kind of criticism I've been waiting for... So let's go deeper.. You mentioned citizens awakening with natural wave of change, in my post I also mentioned national unity which is about same thing as citizens awakening.. In all honesty, do you see Nigerians awakening to National unity?? Same youths are supporting someone who claimed the presidency is his turn(personal ambition)... The youths are weapons in the hands of these politicians whose main job is to further divide Nigerians.. Now tell me how I've been veiled in my own dimension of thoughts? |

Nigerians, I know you all are emotional people y'all lack logical reasoning and reason with your heart instead of your brain.. PO cannot rule Nigeria, that's if you really understand Nigerian politics, either is Tinubu nor Atiku the right candidate.. Fact is there are certain people who don't wish for Nigeria to be great simply because it benefits their pockets.. If you all were rich and healthy, no one will go to the church shouting bless and heal me oh lord.. If our economy was right and there were jobs everywhere No one will wish to 'japa' ... Until we collectively fight this rot at its root, and clamor for national unity, even if PO becomes president, Nigeria will remain the same... Ponder on this.. Compare this to a man who keeps changing his shirt every 4 years but keeps wearing same pant for decades yet he complains of his stench.. |
