Kudos to the governor.
We have major cities like Abuja, Lagos, Onitsha, Warri, Uyo, Kaduna, Akure, and Kano, yet struggling to compete with smaller African countries.
Places like Warri and Benin used to have a very high potential but our leaders ruined everything. The voters also must be blamed. Nigerians joke a lot with their political life by electing ineffective people in power.
The average life expectancy of Nigerian men is 54 years yet they want to waste 16-20 years electing sick, corrupt, and ineffective people because of ethnic affiliations. How una wan take make am? |

First, this should not be another opportunity to insult your pastor, the church, or Jesus Christ like you all do online. Everything in this life is contextual.
If you live among Urhobo people, it is permissible for men to wear skirt and wrapper. Wear skirt in Kano or Sokoto and get stoned.
Back in my Uni days, face cap and berets were specifically "reserved" for cultists. Would it make sense for me to come here and inquire about whether it is OK or inappropriate for me to wear a face cap while I am well aware that, as a JJC, I may be attacked by some rival cult boys? If I came here to get other people's opinions, I would be stup!d.
It's pointless to give you advice on how to maintain your beards because, where I live, beards are not just grown by cultists. However, I will NEVER keep one if I ever go to Sokoto or any core northern state in order to avoid being mistaken for a Muslim.
Wisdom is profitable to direct. In everything and in every form of wokeness, get wisdom and understanding. |

That's bad. The fact that she had to do it in your presence is completely embarrassing. But context is everything...
There's a difference between:
"Honey...baby...please I'm stressed.. can you help out with this and that on the next street?"
AND
"Oya bia, go collect change from iya shakiru" *with a straight face*
If my sister in-law uses the first context, I would even volunteer to run the errand. For the second context, we will surely have problems. |

Biden sat down by himself in that particular chair, the same with other leaders. He could have gone to the front row if he wanted to, but he's not an attention seeking freak like Donald trump. I'm sure the 280 people that liked this comment saw the lie in your post but still went on to like it anyway since your opinion is largely anti-Trump. Lol How can people sit where they like? holluwizzy: They re the major problem.
It's hard for them to store money in the bank and at home.
This they end up changing the naira to dollar 100bills and hoard it at home and also use to abroad which is killing the economy. Very true. Politicians are the major problem. The amount of dollars that exchanged hands during the PDP/APC primaries alone can wreck a nation. I just hope Nigeria won't end up like Ghana. Buhari may have to run to IMF before December. |
Business › Re: "No More International Transactions!" Did You Receive This? by Acidosis(m): 12:50pm On Sep 21, 2022 |
Very true. Expect stiffer policies sef. The new policy affects PTA/BTA. For those applying for PTA, no more cash!
While the policy seems unfair to genuine folks, it's the ONLY way to address the criminality of illegal bureau de change agents (and their political sponsors) who come to defraud the nation with the excuse of traveling abroad or making international purchase.
The banks are simply saying that:
If you want to travel abroad, go and withdraw your dollars abroad. We'll fund your card. |

Tinubu left N100 Billion debt for Fashola. With inflation, that amount is in hundred of billions today.
Tinubu took the highest loan ever in the history of Lagos and delivered only a "master plan" with few roads.
Ambode took zero debt and delivered more. I hope the veils covering the eyes of Lagosians will be removed someday.

Hope4Naja: Good day my People I am trying to find a way to save money from my monthly salary. I earn N400,000 after statutory deductions, married with two kids . My wife is not yet working as she just finished her final degree exams before ASUU started their strike. At the end of the month, I only have between 40 to 50k left as savings . I have been trying to find way of adjusting this monthly expenses so I can save more. I know the high cost of things in Nigeria is terribly It's time to change your savings culture. Stop saving the remnant or leftover. Whenever you receive your salary (N400,000), remove N100,000 (or any other amount you intend to save) and invest it in your preferred account/platform. You and your wife can then sit down and draw a new budget with the remainder (N300,000). That's how to improve your savings. You won't die and your kids won't go hungry. |

@acidosis did you see this? His post is truly reasonable but not based on the real situation. We both know that this case is related to preferential treatment (and like someone said, security reasons). No one is praising Biden or the U.S or saying that African leaders must deploy their convoy. We're simply pointing out the hypocrisy of the West, informed by the news that only the US president was permitted to use one. I'm against wastage in government and I'm for equality ONLY when people truly adhere to the real sense of the word. That's why I used the Chinese illustration. |

Na wetin we dey explain to some second class world citizens be dat on the other thread. Nobody will respect Africans/blacks unless we begin to respect ourselves. The double standard in the world is too much.
China has a population of 1.5 billion. A typical Chinese President controls 20% of the world's population. If Xi says he's the most powerful world leader on that basis alone and, therefore, be accorded equal respect, is he wrong? |

Iamthoney: But not that of US The U.S. is obviously bigger because of the value of the dollar to other currencies. Comparing the economies of countries using nominal GDP has always been a fraudulent idea. To know the actual GDP of countries, you have to adjust for PPP (purchasing power parity).
