psalmistkakah:Before social media, how did you celebrate your wins? |
SmartPolician:If judges rely on Wike to build them fancy homes in Abuja with government funds, how do you expect locals not to live in poor conditions? A broke yet corrupt country will always put the cart before the horse. Right now, Nigeria is no longer among Africa’s top 15 wealthiest countries. Our GDP has fallen too sharply to paint any false picture of wealth that we clearly don’t have (we did, until politicians looted the country dry). If you must build homes for judges and pay rent for SSAs and politicians in Abuja, then get ready to do same for the real owners of Abuja. We are wasting monies on unproductive corrupt crooks, but want the real hustlers and owners of the land to catch up with corruption. How?? |
Such senseless talk. So the only way to curb a "security threat" is by demolishing people’s houses? Many of these leaders clearly lack sense; the painful thing is seeing the number of Nigerians supporting this wickedness. They’ll always cheer on their oppressors until those same oppressors come for them and their loved ones. This man had funds to build houses for overfed judges in the same Abuja, but now you are demolishing a settlement that affects 10,000 Nigerians because of "security threats"? |
Esthered:🙏 The babies and I are doing great, dear |
Esthered:I never thought of it that way. You’ve made some really good points. |
Esthered:Hmm, my dear Esthered. So, does that mean POS agents don't get their cash from banks anymore? |
You can feel the pain in his voice. This man has spoken nothing but the truth. School owners act as if they're out of touch with the realities of everyday Nigerians. Take my niece’s school, for example, how can you tell kids to make a different hairstyle every week? What’s wrong with keeping their hair short or simply using packing gel? For an ordinary graduation, one girl’s parent here was told to buy three different outfits. Until this Gen Z era, I never knew schools held graduation parties for pre-nursery and nursery school students. I still blame the parents because many enjoy the competitive show-off and all that. Some don’t even realise when they're being exploited anymore. Some of these students will carry this competitive and exploitative mentality into adulthood, setting themselves up for problems later in life. The child's school in context, for example, has already given the child a false reality about akara and pap. If not for this false reality we have created for ourselves, I don't see why anyone will prefer any kind of breakfast over akara and pap. |
Teach them how to rebel against their oppressors and looters. |
When you look at a character like Femi, you'll discover that whatever Kemi has said is obviously correct. Femi, aka Mr Jollof, should not be discussing matters related to morals, loyalty, integrity, honour, and values. He lacks all. A morally depraved, integrity-deficient crook should not be writing thesis on someone else's political or social correctness. |
Lagosians especially will doubt this because many believe that Nigeria begins and end in Lekki. When you open your mind to the reality across Nigeria's 36 states, you'll find that even the 100k is a decent figure. In the current day Nigeria, 95% of private school teachers in Kogi and Benue state, for example, do not earn 50k monthly. The situation is so bad. Many found a way to survive because food items, rent, and children's school bills are relatively cheaper. |
Muslim women, how do you people sleep at night? How do you go to bed comfortably knowing that Allah justifies sex with your under 9 year old girls? I really hope there are no feminist women that are devoted Muslims. If you ever find one, please refer them to Yaba left. |
The more the U.S. economy booms, the more Nigerians suffer. I hope Nigerians are ready? Nigeria will have to face double shege: first from Nigerian inept leaders and secondly from US economic boom or stronger dollar. It is a pitiable situation. |
Recently, a hotel and a shopping mart in my area shut down. Guess who bought the properties? Churches. My current church building used to be a pure/bottle water company. If companies keep folding and we fail to hold the right stakeholders (government) accountable, the church will not come to save us, now or ever. Most churches have at least three mission and vision statements, but boosting the Nigerian economy is never one of them. People need to save themselves. PFN/CAN should also stop insulting the sensibilities of Nigerians by calling on them to pray for the nation. If you want to pray, do so with your congregation that believes in your funny prayers, and stop dragging the general public into it just because some corrupt leaders handed you fat envelopes. |
Solseal007:And who told you these people will add such prayers to their prayer points? You want them to pray against their sponsors?? |
A very annoying woman. |
ElSudani:It is okay not to see japa as modern-day slavery. It may take another century to realise that the things we consider a better life today are a form of slavery, perpetuated by wicked African leaders and their institutional partners abroad who seek cheap labour and replacements for their population decline. |
ElSudani:Read your history, there were rare cases where enslaved blacks gained freedom—whether by purchasing it, receiving it from sympathetic white owners, or through manumission. Even then, these freed individuals still held only a limited status in society, with discriminatory laws and colour still restricting their rights. Every other thing is playing out today: are blacks not working all their a s s e .s off to purchase citizenship abroad? Go to the UK and find majority of Nigerian students doing jobs they never imagined they would do back home, all because African leaders and their followers have sworn to remain cursed. When you look at how the black man is foaming and begging Trump for citizenship, you will see that nothing has really changed. Slaves in those days do beg their masters for freedom (aka citizenship). |
ElSudani:When you realize that japa (emigration) resembles modern-day slavery, you'll stop blaming the white man and focus on fixing our own home. The slave traders of the past were ignorant and misguided, but our current leaders are even more so. In colonial times, enslaved people, after a period, sometimes had the privilege of becoming citizens. The same scenario is unfolding today. There were rare cases where enslaved individuals gained freedom—whether by purchasing it, receiving it from sympathetic owners, or through manumission. Even then, freed individuals often held only a limited status in society, with discriminatory laws still restricting their rights. When you look at how the black man is foaming and begging Trump for citizenship, you will see that nothing has really changed. Until African leaders and people address these issues at home, nothing will change. A hundred years from now, the next generation may view japa as dehumanizing, much as we now see the slave trade. |
She is a wise woman. Imagine taking pictures with these ronu bandits and ballot box snatchers? Why is Abike and her likes so desperate to drag her into something she ran away from? |
Most of them are under 25 years. |
You people have started. I blame African leaders sha. |
cococandy:Aha 😭 |
Nazgul:Nothing will happen. We will only make noise online and find a coping mechanism as usual. Las Las, Nigerians will turn to charcoal for their cooking needs and bicycle for transportation. |
cococandy:A joke, right? |
cococandy:Hmmn... I understand |
cococandy:No matter what happens, the fight for what and who you believe in doesn't and shouldn't end now. Stay positive. The future is vast and can be brighter 🔆❤️ |
Trump owes his 'victory' to Elon Musk. |
1 man cheated on his wife; over 100 women cheated on their spouses. |
Ahh..! Whoever did this does not deserve to live among humans. |
Too late. |
I still do not understand the motive for keeping the sex tapes on his computer. Man was certainly on a mission. At least a thousand lives will be affected by his actions: spouses, children, sisters, brothers, parents, colleagues at work, friends, cousins, neighbours, etc. |
Pathetic. Hotels only thrive in a booming economy. |
