doggedfighter:I am not defending Pastor Adeboye. Going to church in order to get some future funding or relief programmes is just self-deceit. The best any church can offer is CSR programmes, which means that some will benefit while others won't. Some will get scholarships, most won't. Dangote is one of the biggest independent donors in Nigeria, yet till tomorrow, his best will never be enough. He's recently just given 5bn or so to flood victims in Borno state, but guess what? Many people in that state will still lose their lives and properties and get nothing in return. Op's brother pastored a church for 5 years and needs Adeboye to give him 20-30 million Naira for a kidney transplant? If the entire pastorate of the church make such demand, church no go close down?! What we need is a reality check. People should stop running to churches looking for financial favours or some unfounded miracles. Adeboye does not have the key to eternal or everlasting life whether in heaven or on earth. He lost his son too some year back. Adeboye may not have given him the money he needed for a transplant, but we also know that RCCG has hundreds of maternity clinics spread around the country, where women go to get highly subsidised maternal care. You see, that's how institutional CSR works. His brother needed the government more than Adeboye at that critical stage. What has the government done about terminal illnesses? If Adeboye somehow provide the funding for his brother, what about the rest of Nigerians battling with kidney diseases who do not have 25 million for a new kidney? People should rather go to churches for the right reasons. If they need to give, they also must give for the right reasons. |
eyesoflagos:Telecommunications engineer at MTN, Glo, etc., right? You guys should have taken him to his company's MD. He has better chances there as the MD has fewer people to worry about. Adeboye has over 200,000 pastors, over 1 million elders/deacons/deaconness, and more than 5 million members to worry about. He has more members than Ebonyi and Ekiti states combined. Above all, you have to find peace and acceptance in the reality of life. And may his soul continues to rest in peace. Like birth, funeral is very expensive. It's only cheaper when you patronise recycled burial grounds in Lagos. |
RCCG has over 200,000 pastors. No organisation in the world (not even the Nigerian government) can offer free burial grounds for 200,000 people. This is just the number of pastors o. Now add pastors' wives, their children, deacons/deaconness,elders, etc. If every RCCG member decides to request a space for their loved ones, the entire RCCG camp won't be enough. |
Any marriage that involves police services or interference has already ended - a complete waste of time and the police should do well to help such couples terminate their marriages. There are several traditional instruments for settling marital disputes. |
santaclaws:The mess is now irreversible. No sane person would take such simultaneous measure. The gain he thought he could realise from fuel subsidy removal has been completely truncated by the Naira devaluation policy so bad that Nigeria would have been better off without any of the policy measures. |
Magicalsineros:Men who are ritua list can also apply this same l a m e excuse. |
doggedfighter:Thank you, dear 😊 |
doggedfighter:You want to give me high BP with the word 'scattering,' abi? 😅 I don’t joke with orderliness ooo.. Ah! They’re doing absolutely fine, though - still learning to sit up nicely with minimal support |
descarado:I'm really sorry to hear about all the stress you've been going through Thank you for your kind words. I believe there is a life after death. Take care of yourself, and try to rest as much as you can. |
doggedfighter:Engineer dogged ![]() |
descarado:Your babies and I are doing well o, my sister. They’ll be 5 months soon. It hasn’t been easy juggling everything with the two of them, but it would have been so much harder without the supports. Every day, I wake up thankful, and watching them grow and hit new milestones keeps me going. I should start sending pictures/videos to you ![]() I completely understand what you mean about this place making you sick. The struggles are and heartbreaking. And with the recent hike in tariffs and fuel prices, I can’t even begin to imagine how much harder things will become in another week or two. Even business owners are struggling, but we keep pushing forward. How have you been too? I noticed you haven’t been around much lately. |
Holycity:That is the disadvantage of Band A. |
psucc:This is so funny. Please take it easy, boss. |
You want to kidnap a toilet cleaner in Nigeria? |
The brutal truth is that the current situation is irreversible. It was an avoidable situation, though. Floating the Naira while also announcing subsidy removal on the other hand has got to be the d u m b e s t decision ever taken by any Nigerian leader. |
Lamanii22:Seriously?? 450g or 900g? |
Sign of a loyal APC supporter |
Yeah, with rigging and judicial banditry. |
Secure your tomorrow if you can. Under the APC government, Nigeria won't get better, Naira won't gain anymore value, prices of goods won't come down. Trends don't lie. |
Reported cases? |
Lamanii22:Double?? The same SMA gold the op bought for N3500 in 2013 cost 24k now. |
Thundafireseun:Sending money is not enough. Get involved. Join Telegram and WhatsApp groups about motherhood. Do your research and learn to shop yourself. Thank God you got to know about caritone, but what about the other things you don't know like "agbo/concortions"?? Some people's kidneys started dying a week after birth due to agbo/herbal medicine and drug abuse by those stubborn "never-ready-to-learn" grannies. |
bobo65:Ecclesiastes 9:11-12 I also saw something else here on earth: The fastest runner does not always win the race, the strongest soldier does not always win the battle, the wisest does not always have food, the smartest does not always become wealthy, and the talented one does not always receive praise. Time and chance happen to everyone. No one knows what will happen next. |
Such a great guy with great impact. May he find true rest. It is well. |
BlackRoook:True, I believe in luck and chance. Thank you so much, my brother 🙏 |
babestell:Thank you, my sister 🙏 |
Angelfrost:Always insensitive to attribute issues like this to excessive alcohol intake or clubbing. While such activities are known risk factors, genetics and hereditary issues also play major roles in diseases. Some people's "crime" is that they were born into certain families with certain histories and genes. Do not be quick to attribute everything to lifestyle. |
He said the suspect confessed to the crime, claiming that he acted alone but under the influence of Indian hemp, methamphetamine (locally known as “Mkpuru-mmiri”), and Action Bitters alcoholic drink, which he consumed earlier. The op emboldened everything except the most important information. All drug addicts are potential murderers. None should be spared. |
Lol Threats never work. The economy has completely crumbled. |
DaddyCoool:Getting people's attention in your twenties has nothing to do with value. The mistake we make is assuming that the world revolves around sex-starved men and attention-seeking women. I can't speak for all men but attention should really be a major red flag. I mean, why would you want what every other person wants? That can't be value. The value of a married woman in her 40s or 50s should be seen mainly by her husband. Why would she want to drag attention with social media teenagers who are yet to see or know LIFE? You may be right about child bearing and how a woman's body becomes less attractive, but that really relates to personal care or hygiene issues. More so, attractiveness to people who have been married for years differ from an outsider's view. Some of the things that irritate you are things they've grown to love. You can't understand, but it is what it is. Moreover, declining attractiveness in your context applies to men too. Don't be carried away by sugar daddies' moves. We all know why women move close to these men. It has never been about attractiveness, good hygiene, or bedmatics. With the right amount of money, a 70 year old woman with poor hygiene will get the same result. Your last point? Well, I can agree. |
DaddyCoool:Love can often be a conscious choice. If you find a woman who loves you deeply, give it time, and you may come to love her in return, even if it’s not to the same extent. No one is truly unlovable. When someone loves you deeply, they are willing to be whatever you need them to be. Too often, we fail to see the bigger picture and are easily influenced by material things and the arbitrary rules others create in their own world. Take, e.g., the irrational mindset some people have about short men, simply because society says unkind things. If we really think about it, apart from those senseless opinions, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being short. That being said, it's often better for a man to be with a woman who loves him more. Considering the amount of attention women get from men, you'll be doing yourself a disservice by being with a woman you constantly need to convince or compete for against other suitors. This is the reality in the dating world. People wey dey date dey try. It is very easy to get a man to love you than have a woman love you hopelessly. Such women are rare. Rarity ALWAYS gives ultimate and more value. BTW, I don't agree that a woman loses value due to childbearing. What does value in this context even mean? When men say women shift their love and attention to the children, this usually only applies to women who were never deeply in love with their men. For a woman truly in love, her partner remains her priority. Any other thing, including children, are secondary. |
