PoliticsRe: Federal Government To Fix Personal Income Tax Rate At 25% For ₦‎100M Earners by Acidosis(m): 5:01pm On Oct 16, 2024
Stealing 25% from hardworking Nigerians when Yahaya Bello is still 'at large' is just c r a z y.

If you earn around N105-120m, better downgrade your earning to N99.5m.
InvestmentRe: My Father's Dividend After 11years Of Investing In Transcorp Shares by Acidosis(m): 4:04pm On Oct 16, 2024
In a country plagued by extreme inflation and currency devaluation, not all investments are worth your time. Long-term investments in Naira ke? Your father get mind.

You could invest N1 million in shares today, and by 2034, that amount might only be enough to buy a bottle of beer (N2m for two bottles grin ). At least right now, with N1 million, you can still buy a brand new iPhone 14. cheesy

Thank you Acid.
We are the architect of our problems.

I have boys.
Oga cook while his boys watch. Fast forward, they own the kitchen now. Just that I spent triple on spices and herbs and whatever. Its a complete nightmare but i really care less. Nobody tells me they have finished until I want to use them.
I can't remember when last I loaded the washing machine, vacuumed or mop. If you fail to do any, you are grounded. We will start taking off your privileges. Passworded all tv, no phone, laptops are for homeworks only. Will simply tell you to go and be creative with your time. Sult for all I care. If you disturb me more, I will tell you to write I am sorry 500 times grin

This way, you teach your male child to be proactive at home. We spoil them and still cry woof.
I don't even have a female around me. Growing up was that way too. All men around me do exactly what women do and more. I just don't understand the things I read online
😂 😂

Your system is spot on, my sister. Honestly, teaching boys to handle things at home is so important. We can't spoil them and wonder why they don’t step up later in life.

That "write 'I'm sorry' 500 times" part 😂
BusinessRe: As Economic Hardship Bites, Superstores Lose Patronage by Acidosis(m):
Not entirely true. If you know where to shop, now is the time to visit certain superstores. Justrite offers some of the best prices. Every item I buy from Justrite stores is significantly cheaper than the prices at conventional markets. Every single item.

PoliticsRe: I Believe God Didn’t Create Nigeria To Struggle - Obasanjo by Acidosis(m): 9:24pm On Oct 13, 2024
Baba OBJ, God has no hand in the creation of states or countries. Nigeria is a man-made entity; one created to fail from inception.
FamilyRe: Married Women Share Battles They Fight In Their Homes by Acidosis(m): 6:10pm On Oct 13, 2024
If you look closely, you'll find that some of the women who complain about their husbands barely helping with household chores have sons they rarely allow to do the same. I once asked a married woman why her two boys, aged 10 and 7, couldn't make a simple meal like noodles. Her response: 'They are boys.' This same woman complains every other day about her 'lazy' husband.

Women who expect more from their husbands should start by raising sons who actively contribute at home. Be the change you want to see.

Also, men who complain about Nigerian girls should strive to be the change they want to see. Be a role model to your daughters, raise the standard, give maximum financial support to your daughters, and the complaints will reduce.
PoliticsRe: ₦1,030: Petrol Price May Go Up Again, Experts Warn by Acidosis(m): 3:26pm On Oct 13, 2024
Nigerians will have to beg Tilumbu to return subsidy and defend the Naira because frankly, the mass suffering hasn't even started.

The PDP borrowed money to fund the subsidy and defend the Naira, while Tinubu is borrowing more money to address the hunger and hardship caused by the removal of the subsidy and the floating of the Naira (aka bags of rice).

Acquiring loan is bad enough but in this case we have no choice as our tax reform is still infant but taking loan to defend a depreciating currency?
Bruh, even SS3 economics student knows that is a very foolish move
So how do you want to improve your tax when majority can no longer afford to eat ordinary egg without thinking about their account balance?

Very funny.
PoliticsRe: Obi Just Exposed Himself As a daft illiterate by Acidosis(m): 10:31am On Oct 13, 2024
richmond500:
Oga, depreciation is caused by accumulated debts and Obi feels like acquiring more loans is the best idea? I don't have to explain.
Even Obi said he took his best advice from mad men grin grin
And TINUBU is taking more loans than any Nigerian president.

A microphone licker don't even have the brains to solicit or process any advice.

richmond500:
I am against loans, unlike u, I didn't defend Tinubu blindly.
The difference is that Tinubu didn't borrow to fight depreciation, Obi is very daft
It is better to borrow money to fight depreciation than use it on private jets, yatchs, coastal roads, and bags of rice that will neither get to you nor anyone you know. Obi is obviously more intelligent than you and BAT.
PoliticsRe: Obi Just Exposed Himself As a daft illiterate by Acidosis(m): 4:14am On Oct 13, 2024
richmond500:
Jesus, do u even know what is going on in Nigeria abi u just felt like defending a politician? What we are suffering is depreciation of the local currency, and one of the reason why a currency goes through depreciation is accumulation of external debt.

You think borrowing and incurring more debt is the best solution?
Sometimes it's better to understand the problem before defending our politicians.
Why is Tinubu borrowing aggressively like a palmpay addict? Just 3 days ago, he borrowed $6.4 billion from the Word Bank. Under 1 year, he has also borrowed over 20 trillion Naira from domestic investors. Another 2.9 trillion Naira loan from the CBN was obtained before May. Are you still against loans?
PoliticsRe: Obi Just Exposed Himself As a daft illiterate by Acidosis(m): 9:39pm On Oct 12, 2024
richmond500:
I think borrowing money to save money isnt a smart move.
If I was the president, I'll do the same thing that Tinubu did but I won't implement all the policies at once, he was heartless in executing these policies but it's the best policies, punishment that we are suppose to suffer for 10yrs, Tinubu is making us suffer everything in 4yrs, that is not a wise thing to do, but it's still better than using money to save money
Borrowing to defend the Naira is a smart move. You can borrow to keep the Naira even as you simultaneously fix the economy (refineries). That's the smartest thing to keep Nigerians alive/afloat.

Tinubu has borrowed more money in the last 12 months than any past government has ever done in 42 months. To what end? A fraudulent "man know man" coastal road contract that cost over a trillion naira? Yatch? Private jet? Vice presidential villa? Bags of rice? 🤣

Let this sink in again:
Tinubu is not defending the Naira
Tinubu is not paying subsidy on petrol
But Tinubu is taking loans faster than a Palmpay addict.

It’s natural to lose some of the excitement about something once you’ve been through it yourself. It doesn’t necessarily mean the thing is bad, but your perspective changes with experience. As a pro-marriage advocate on this forum for over a decade and as someone who experienced a solid marriage to a perfect and complete "Proverbs 31" woman for a few years, I can say I no longer advise people to get married—except for consecrated Christians who are committed to avoiding the sin of fornication. Marriage has serious complexities that are absolutely beyond your control, and I’ve come to understand that it's not for everyone.

Don't get it twisted, though. Relationships these days are harder and more challenging. The only difference is that in a relationship, you can easily get out, but in marriage, you can't and often won't. I still believe that two heads are better than one—after all, 1 + 1 equals 2. But in mathematics, it takes less than a millisecond to add 1 + 1 to get 2. In marriage, that simple math can take two weeks to solve.

Finally, take some time to ask why they advise you against getting married. If their concerns are about money and you know you're not financially stable in terms of savings, earnings, or overall stability, I would join them in advising you to reconsider your decision. If you must proceed, open up totally to your woman before you dive in, and this is not even a threat, lol. Na only she go protect you when and where it matters.

PoliticsRe: As Petroleum Marketers Buy Directly From Refineries, What Will Happen To Pricing by Acidosis(m): 11:21am On Oct 12, 2024
Marketer or no marketer, petrol will never sell below N1000 again. Those arguing over a price difference of N50 rather than confront the man who took the price from 200 to about 1000 are extremely s t u p i d.

Nigerian APC journalists really need to stop this m a d n e s s. The real m a d n e s s is Tinubu's decision to remove subsidy at a time the Naira had zero value. That's the main problem. With exchange rate moving closely to 2000, no amount of "after-thought" N50 NNPC "subsidy" or yeye price regulation can reverse the trend.

What are these m a d individuals even regulating? Exchange rate and the fuel price have always moved in tandem. If Naira falls further to N10, 000 per dollar, Dangote will sell his fuel for 8000 per litre. The maths is simple.

You don't want to pay tax?

Nigerians hate paying tax or any other dues but want to enjoy things free. That's not saying our leaders have been good though
There is no country in the world, where majority of the people love to pay tax. There's none, and that includes places like America where developments are visible even to the blind.

The main question is what exactly do you want to tax? And what have you done with those you have collected?

The total internally generated revenue of Kebbi, Taraba and Yobe States put together amounts to N30 billion. A single individual in Kogi stole N110 billion according to the EFCC. Do with this information whatever you want.

I align with your side of the argument. Scripture supercedes any mandate. A mandate that reserves lifetime office for the founder, but retires men who built the church with him from the start, is one that must be called to question!
That is the best thing that can happen to any church. There can only be one founder. Every other person leaves after 4 or 8 years.

I expect the RCCG to adopt the same model.

Board of trustees for church?
There is no church without a board of trustees. It's important for continuity. And if you must register your church with the Nigerian government, you also need one. On paper, it is not a one man business.
