When op signed up, he went to the Doctors' Thread on NL and got no response/advice, prompting the need to move this to the home page.

If the doctors had advised him initially, this thread wouldnt have seen the light of day.

Now, a few quacks are all over it and some of us are making notes for future reference.

One chap comes up and authoritatively prescribes an instant solution, which a desperate and confused person afraid of seeing an unknown doctor would gladly jump at, and a doctor in the house "prays/shudders".

The least i would expect would be an explanation as to why that drug was wrong, not just a shudder.

Someone reading this next year wont know who the real doctor is among the two: the person praying/shuddering or the person prescribing.

A little education will go further than that "prayer".

You only need to read from page one to see my advice.

Its only the quacks that are allowed to prescribe based on 'someone with a similar complaint'. It is unethical. Treatment is individualized and based on history, physical examination and investigations. All we have here is the history, the best a doctor can do( and am quite impressed by that here i must say) is to tell u to go see a doctor.
Allow the quacks to run their mouth, i.e ACM10 and co.

At independence, Awolowo invited Azikwe for Southerners to unite even Awo offered to be the junion partner but Azikwe preffered to be the slave of Balewa (Bellos boy-boy). That was it for the first republic

Second republic A highly learned Ekwueme chose to be slave under Shagari ( Igbos second in command to hausa again While Yoruba stayed in the Opposition)

Third Republic : In the aborted IBB elections Yorubaman Abiola contested, Tofa a hausaman contested where was the Ibo man? He chose to hide under their hausa masters in Sylvester Ugo

It is ignorant to call Ojukwu a coward.  He saw his people being killed and he stood up to fight for them.  That in my opinion is very noble.  Did he make mistakes?  Yes he did.  But to call him a coward is very unfair.

Ojukwu left when it was clear and unequivocal that Biafra had lost.  The day after Ojukwu left, the Udi airport was captured by the Federal troops.  If Ojukwu stayed, he would have been captured, humiliated, tortured, and killed.  At that time, Igbos loved and admired Ojukwu so much that if he was killed, they would never have seen themselves as Nigerians.  The last thing that post civil war Nigeria needed was for Ojukwu to become a Biafran martyr.  If Ojukwu was killed, Igbos would have view it was an unforgivable sin by the Nigerian government.
