DerideGull: I say Kudos to the House of Representatives for the support of administrative and financial autonomy for Local Governments as well as the abrogation of State Independent Electoral Commissions, SIECs. These moves are signs of grass root democracy. There is no need for SIECS since Nigeria has INEC which is capable of conducting any form of state election.
In addition, I call for scraping of Senate and position of governors in Nigeria. The Senate has become a useless body and governors have become despotic. Anybody, such as Senate, which did not deem it necessary to extend democracy to the local governemnt level has no place in Nigeria. You know it's never gonna happen. |

Abagworo: Igbos feel too comfortable investing outside Igboland and that is one of the reasons their host communities detest them. Other Nigerians are so mindful on how they invest their earnings that you wouldn't even know they own a lot in their hometowns. A typical Yoruba millionaire from Osun based in Port harcourt has one house in Port Harcourt, 1 house in Lagos and 8 houses in Osun while a typical Igbo millionaire in Lagos owns 9 houses in Lagos and one seasonally used duplex in his village. Raw truth! |

Abagworo: I'm in support of Fashola. Igbos need to stop investing outside Igboland and come back home. Most rich Yorubas in Port Harcourt refuse to buy land or use Port Harcourt as their head office even though they make more money here. You can't be investing all your life earnings in other parts of Nigeria and at the same time calling for Biafra. We need to retrace our steps. You are on point. My Yoruba friend in Enugu drives jeep while living in a one room apartment. He has never harboured the thought of buying land in Enugu, even though he has the financial shoulder. Kept his family in Lagos while he flirts here. As a matter of fact, he can pack all his property to west at a moment notice. I don't know why Igbos buy lands and acquires properties in a distant hostile places. |

Emperoh: It is a move the give the people of Anambra North a chance which i think is quite fair But at the same time, i hope we are not writing an unwritten rule.
Obi has done fairly well and i expect him to handover to someone who will take the stakes higher. What i don't know is how they intend to resolve the leadership issue with APGA since Obi's man friday Maxi Okwu has lost out to Umeh.
We are watching. However, there are things i don't want to see. As you stated above;
I don't want to see an Ngige (suddenly become too mouthy) or the fraud called Ifeanyi Ubah I don't want to see a PDP take over! Hell NO!!! Unless of course if it is Charles Soludo I don't want any of those hawks who ran to APGA after power changed hands. Career politicians will take us back to the dark days
Ultimately, i want to see a scenario where Anambra North is given a chance at the power equation in Anambra State. So we are waiting on November.
Meanwhile, i am surprised Chino didn't deem it important to take some pictures to at least help promote his paymaster's work here? Even ACM10. . . . this is grand-hand falling!!! I was driving when I passed through the area. Moreover, I was in a haste. So, no time to stop and snap pics. |

chino11: Good..
I saw the entire corridor up to Upper Iweka and Head Bridge with street lights. [s]I decided not to take pictures just for NL members to see, because I know that Onitsha being strategic city connects entire Nigeria via road, that most Nigerians will be witnesses to the revolution. Due to the nature of my job am privileged to know a PA to SSG, who told me that the entire expressway will continue in that manner to Amansea-Awka end of the road.
He equally told me in confidence that Obaze will be the next governor, that his first agenda on the table is to deliver the already federal government approved International Cargo/Passenger Airport to Anambra within 8months of his stay in office, of which the site has been mapped out and fenced by Obi at Nteje-Aguleri areas.. Spyder, Onitsha has really transformed. My Imo colleague was full of praises for Peter Obi. Though I don't share his sentiment. But please revisit those roads. It has changed look. Infact, no where in Igboland can be compared to Nkpor-onitsha axis. I'm really proud to be Igbo. Feel free to visit, take pictures and post online. |

ozodigboo: This thread is so funny, because i just lost N18,000 online, less than 10 days ago. Maybe i was to blame - the guy posted an advert of a software by which u can track someone else's sms messages, incoming/outgoing calls. He said its all at allphonespy.com
His name [ which i suspect is fake ] is Joubert Betre. i paid into his first bank account.
i asked him about his unusual name - he said i should agree the biz is illegal, and he s protecting his identity.
am not usually this gullible. i don't know what happened , how i managed to be cheated. That's the highest amount i ever lost. I saw the advert on NL and checked their site. I discovered immediately that they were conmen. I never knew that someone would fall for their scam so fast. I think Seun should do more to protect his forum users. |

But seriously, I don't find this lady sexy. She looks like a doll. Aint she the one pleading for a male lover?http://www.lailasblog.com/2013/05/karen-igho-desperately-needs-boyfriend.htmlJust take a good look at her pictures and see all the goodies you stand to gain. Come on, guys! Shake body for Karen nah, abeg.
Here is her touching plea for a boyfriend, true love. She says she needs someone to go to the movies with, and her requirements are not even that high. Seems she was on our blog yesterday o, cos she too is asking how guys that double date do it. How long can you stay with out sex Let's be realistic here. Does it really matter who calls or text who first. Does it really matter if you had sex the first time you met. What will be will be. I just want the right guy and am scared of getting hurt cos when I love I love with all my body and soul.
It's so difficult with fame to find a guy dat will love you and trust you. not all women in the industry are loose. Guys and girls dat have more than one gf\bf, do you really love them all? I can't double date. one guy is enough for me I will die for true love and I will give my all for true love. You don't have to be cool to be my man and you don't have to be rich to rule my world. All I want is your extra time and your kiss. I wanna go on a date, go to the movies God will make a way Karen is in London right now though, where she will be attending Chris Attoh's birthday party hosted by Kokobar, and also for school. |

Adejoro74: Accomplishment is in the eyes of the beholder. What are the criteria? Wealth, education, politics, leadership, touching humanity positively, business acumen, highest degree, religion, culture etc
And any such ranking should be done age-for-age and opportunity-for-opportunity. Just accomplishment - Nigerian standard |
