Orikinla: If you don't like this post, that is your headache and heartache. Why not castrate them because they are poor? Your post reeks of arrogance. Someone who had a humble beginning will not make this comment. For God's sake, those people are not poor by their own design. Failure of the government to perform its most basic functions condemned those people to the life of poverty and misery. The fact that they are poor do not mean that you should deny them their freedom to make choice. I don't share your view brother. You have no right to pokenose into the affairs of two consenting adults. |
Yorubas should mobilize themselves, invade Anambra and vote for Ngige at the polls. It's not enough to boast online. |
The truth is the first full-blooded Igbo and indeed the first African to read medicine remains Dr James Africanus Horton who graduated from the Kings College, London and later University of Edinburgh in 1859, over one decade before the other Sierra Leonean resettled slaves he claims as Yoruba! And if the parameters are re-assessed Williams, an ex-Sierra Leonian slave apprenticed to an English law firm, can never be Nigeria’s first lawyer. And it was to the credit of this same cosmopolitan Africans: Horton and Herbert Macaulay, that they arrived Onitsha and Lagos respectively to champion the cause of education and nationalism in Nigeria. This part caught my attention. Very few in Nigeria knew that Lagos indigenes are predominantly children of resettled slaves from Congo in East Africa to Gambia in West Africa. Very few knew that the majority of Lagosian during the British rule resists every attempt to be grouped with Yorubas. They(like every slaves) bears western names e.g. Williams, Ransome, Brown, etc Very few knew that Lagosians identifies with NCNC. Very few knew that Awolowo first made inroad in Lagos only after Lagos was merged with the western region. The problem is that very few people know their history. Very few. . . |
Abagworo: Enugu is not densely populated and I know Enugu just like every other Igbo town like the palm of my hands. It is a sparse city and even more like a sprawl with some few concentrated settlements.hahaha. . .dude, you are seriously funny! First, the video was shot either in the morning or in the evening. Secondly, the video was shot on the road linking government house to Bisala road. That area is notoriously cool just like Trans-Ekulu. Thidly, Okada(either commercial or private) was banned in Enugu since 2010. Folks! scroll to 1.48 to see people moving with okada. So, your video is atleast 3 years old. If you want to estimate the population density of Enugu, visit Abakpa-nike, Coal camp, Obiagu, Achara layout and New haven(lower Chime) |
This is nothing short of blackmail. Do they know the number of Anambrarians that are dying from cancer? Why do they think that theirs deserves special attention? Peter Obi is the custodian of taxpayers money. Maybe they should plead with Peter Obi to fund the treatment from his private purse. |

Awolowo was stoned in Aba. Do your studies well. |
Abagworo: And finally let me make my own contribution since the tribalists, envious ones and ignoramus are quiet. What an ignorant comment! Enugu is densely-populated. Moreover, large number of international travellers of Igbo extraction resides in Enugu. Who told you that Asaba airport is used for international flights? Your problem is that you are yet to visit Enugu. All you do is to expose your poor knowledge everyday on the topic of Enugu. I have no doubt in the economic viability of enugu airport. Time will tell. |
Seun is a shrewd businessman. He knows that controversy pulls traffic. Heavy traffic is good for business. No wonder why he appointed Maclatunji as a mod here. He is well aware that it will cause controversy, thereby attract traffic like my humble self. I wont be surprised if Seun retains him here. Seun is wise. ![]() |
Sunny_bobo: Since Ngige is so loved by the APC members who see him as a messiah of some sort, can they please present him as their presidential candidate? They are hypocrites! |
abbeylincon: If u reject Ngige's selfless service this time, on flimsy reasons, then Ngige shud jus wait till 2015 wen APC Wíℓℓ make him Minister of Health! Ngige would have bn your Messiah,I was passing thru Onitsha wen I stop over on my way to Aba, I felt sorry for that state, no single tarred major street road! Too bad! Ngige leave them to remain backward all in the name of APC,wit or without u, APC has come to stay, only Kano state is more than the entire east in terms of population, so wot re we sayin? Why d braggin? You are a first class liar! Your lies clearly shows that you have never been to Onitsha. Maybe you mistook Ado-Ekiti to be Onitsha. For you to pass through Onitsha en route to Aba, you must have passed through Head bridge to Upper Iweka. Then from Upper Iweka to Owerri through Onitsha-Owerri road. Those roads are in good shape. I'm ashamed that you have to lie to make a point when you have never been to Onitsha.

Feraz: I'm still looking forward to the day we will discuss like the intellectuals that we Nigerians are supposed to be rather than resort to insults just to pass a statement across. No, they wont have it. It's their way or no way. |

tankoemmanuel: I am an Igbo from Anambra state. I want to clear the air on certain issues that have lingered too far.Your comment exposed your bias. Peter Obi appointed a Yorubaman as his chief press secretary. Apart from that, Igbos have sizeable population in Lagos state with a large voting block. Some are speculating that Igbos constitute 25% of Lagos population. If you factor Igbos population into the political equation, you will know that it will be stupiid for a politician to not to give 25% of the voting block a say in his government. Compare that with the population of Yorubas in each individual Igbo states. An Igbo governor can afford to ignore Yorubas because they are inconsequential to his political aspiration. So the two scenarios are different. On Ngige issue, I've said it that Yorubas are arrogant. They think that they know what is the best for Anambrarians. You guys are not doing Ngige any good by campaigning for him. If Peter Obi fails to capitalize on the opportunity of discrediting Ngige as "Yoruba stooge", other political parties will not let the opportunity slide. Out of all the highly capable candidates in Anambra, Yorubas are telling us that Ngige is the most capable without any proof. Gone are the days when Igbos swallow the opinion of Yorubas through their mass media. Internet has changed everything. BTW, Why does Yorubas want to force Ngige down our throat? |
I couldn't snap the photo from a vantage point since I used public transportation. Moreover, I couldn't secure a front seat. I only want to share the magnitude of transformation taking place on that road. The area looks beautiful. Unfortunately, I couldn't capture its scenery the way I want. |

Now, it looks like this:

Nebeuwa: Igbos should ask Okorocha about how he feels about this deportation saga.I bet that Okorocha will avoid getting involved in that mess after seeing what it did to Ngige. |

Point of correction! British aid money only goes to northern Nigeria. Southern Nigeria hardly benefits. |
Rooneyboy: Nice write up dear, indeed, the rate @ which people consume these drinks is so frightening.I used to be a coke addict when I was in the university, owing to the fact that meals we were served at the canteen was terrible. So I resorted to cokes and other soft drinks to improve the palatability of the meals. I thought I was hooked, but I dropped the habit without knowing when I did that. I think that I achieved that feat when I started to consume delicious meals. |
Learnt that some imported energy drinks in Nigeria now contains morphine. People should be mindful of the energy drink they consume, especially the ones offered freely by strangers at the gym. Morpine addiction is terrible. |
