As a strong supporter of Dr Chris Ngige, I'm so disappointed with his take on this issue. I bet that his comment wont play out well among Anambra voters. APGA will make a political meal out of this statement. |
EUROBOMBER: Nwannem, that Fashola used the term 'Host State' does not necessarily imply that he meant Igbos are refugees. I also do not see any threats in his response. No one needs to be told that an all out war would be very bloody and destructive.Alright, permit me to recap Fashola's response. He started by reminding Igbos that we have large population in Lagos markets. . . “I think that there are large Igbo community in the state. And their presence is evident in Alaba with the Alaba International Market and the ASPAMDA market. Then comes his veiled threat. . . “There is too much at stake for anyone to begin to insight the Igbo community against their host state. There is too much at stake here. It is a very dangerous and unwarranted precedent. And I hope that common sense will prevail here. Also for those who are praying for blood should know that there is too much at risk here.”I think he had Ladipo market leadership crisis in mind when he used "incite". But before that, he brought in a totally unrelated topic of Anambra upcoming gubernatorial election. . . “This is a political season and Anambra will be up for contest. And in a political season, unusual things happen and perhaps we are living in an interesting time.He also said this. . . And it is really important to say that our hospitality in Lagos state is legendary. And it is a global legend that the people of Lagos state are hospitable people. And so is the present government of the state and previous administration”.I really can't figure out why he made that comment. Maybe he is telling us that other parts of Nigeria are hostile and inhospitable |
baby_123: Are igbo's the first and only people returnedIgbos are not the first to be deported is enough reason to support Fashola's action. Why do you guys reason with your emotions? |
gratiaeo: With this, Ngige governorship ambition is dead and buried.Let's not bring Ngige into this feud. He is a true Igbo that has the interest of his kinsmen at heart. He did far more than Peter Obi. We are debating on Fashola's deportation of his fellow Nigerians and his use of the term "host state" as if Igbos are refugees in Nigeria. He went ahead to issue a veiled threat, by giving an indication that he is ready to escalate the feud by targeting and possibly their means of livelihood. Finally he decided to make a political meal out of the stuff by bringing in Anambra upcoming gubernatorial election. Fashola will trigger a chain reaction that will consume him an his kinsmen if he continues like this. This is what happens when ultra-nationalists are in power. Remember Milosevic! Fashola should learn from him. Hope he applies his common sense. |
“There is too much at stake for anyone to begin to insight the Igbo community against their host state. There is too much at stake here. It is a very dangerous and unwarranted precedent. And I hope that common sense will prevail here. Also for those who are praying for blood should know that there is too much at risk here.”This is more of a threat. Are we still living in one-Nigeria? How can a so-called educated man speak like this in a country where citizen are free to acquire property and go about their lawful business? I'm trying to figure out why he used the term "host state", as if Igbos are refugees in Lagos. Truly, this is a very dangerous time in Nigeria. The repercussion of Fasholas actions is capable of consuming everybody. I hope he subscribes to his common sense. This is not about politics. This is about doing the right thing. |
Yeske!:Ketamine no fit knock down an alcoholic, let alone this hardcore multi-drug addict. ![]() |
^^ Why are you so vexed by my comment? It's time you check in to rehab to take some shots of haloperidol. Your aggressive comment is suspicious. ![]() |
A comment on anonymous forum now represent the opinion of Igbos? SMH |
toseen29: I read thru d comments & one thing strikes me; majority seems to bliv in this man ability to be a change agent in Anambra. You ppl shud not limit your support to just comments on blogs, facebook and Newspapers. 65% of Anambra electorate don't read blogs e.t.c. u can do more interms of ur support by campaigning on the streets/villages of Anambra. This can be the much awaited electioneering campaign that will change the way we run politics/elections (not for money or possible appointment) in Nigeria. YES I BELIEVE IN SOLUDO!!!hahaha, tacit admission that online support does not necessarily translate to street support. Peter Obi, Soludo and their gang members will be trounced in the next election. |
Mod-on-duty, can you please deal with this psychiatric patient below before I lose my cool?

Zona.com:Ngige will only lose here on NL, not in Anambra. Peter Obi is in a panic mode. He is throwing darts at a smooth wall, hoping it will stick. He introduced divisive politics, but my people are too noble to descend to petty politics. Come next year, we will disgrace Obi at the polls. His likes will never come close to that seat again. |
Emeka Offor's cousin(Obinna Offor) who was killed and dumped in Ezu river by his SARS hit team
|
[size=18pt]The above quote is not only the truth, but it is the gospel truth. Emeka Offor is Mr Donatus. He goes about donating money to every organisations and politicians while his home is in a state of disrepair. His cousins wallow in poverty. One of his cousins, Obinna Offor was among the bodies recovered from Ezu river. Some said that he was involved in kidnapping activities, while others said that Emeka Offor decided to liquidate him. The young man came back from Malaysia to visit friends in Lagos when the same Emeka Offor's SARS squad picked him off and later executed him. This man is a monster. |
Rotation of political posts is a very big issue in Enugu, Imo, Delta, Ebonyi, etc, but it is a non issue in Anambra until the advent of Peter Obi. Peter Obi introduced divisive politics to Anambra. |
duality: Bro I don't thinks it is divisive politics, Its about Equity and stability. Look, when a certain region are always in power they become unnecessarily too powerful. I'm from the next state and I know what I'm sayingYou are talking nonsense my dear. Anambra is new to your concept of rotation. Anambra North which comprises of Onitsha, Ogbaru and its environs are already powerful. They are political heavyweights. Pls don't bring divisive politics to my dear state. |
Frontpage pls! Soludo moves to APGA as the gubernatorial candidate Soludo is officially a political prostitute |
Afam4eva: Is it part of the zone that Peter Obi wants the governor to come from? NO! |
Obiagu1: Firstly, I'll say Gov. Obi screwed up by bringing divisive politics into Anambra State. Which one is North, South, Centre, etc? We are all Anambrarians and let the best candidate win; We don't need this silly quota stuff in the state.I can't agree more. Anambra is not used to divisive politics @Post, mark my word. Soludo will lose |
sincerenigerian: I wouldn't blame the guy for refusing to the amputation. I was exactly like that when the doctors made the decision to amputate my wife's leg on Chrismas day of 2010. I refused to accept it because I could not imagine something of that magnitude happening to my wife, but as I was crying and wailing, my wife said they should go ahead and amputate the leg. Our kids were 2 and 3 years old then and we just started to enjoy our lives. But doctors said she was likely to die within days because blood was not flowing through the veins in the leg. Her blood began to cloth in various parts of the body. She was put on blood thinner for some time and up till this day she is still on high dose of blood thinner. So touching. I sympathize with you in this difficult time. So hard to imagine what you are passing through. Be strong and don't lose your inner strength. |
kingbang: Where is that clown called Abagworo? Peter Obi is a blessing to Anambra State.Wait! Buildings does not make a hospital. If you doubt me, ask Parklane(ESUTH) |
alj harem: This is serious but I don't blame the man. Trust me if you were in his shoes, you might have done the sameHe is gone. Hard to know the choices I would have made if I were in his shoes. But with what I know, I would have given consent for amputation. It's a sad loss. We are still in shock. |
berem: eyaaa! abeg you people should not make me cry o! all these stories can make me abstain from food for one week. abeg e don do o! RIP to your friend. So sad, really sad. . . |
While I commend Peter Obi for his effort, I must say that the design of this hospital is poor. For instance, the Accident and Emergency section should have been designed in a way to ensure unrestricted access with wide doors. However, this is a step in the right direction, there is room for improvement. |
Get well soon Dr Eziachi. I thank God that you took the right decision to amputate the dead limb. Our family friend had a road traffic accident 4 days ago and sustained a deep laceration at the groin to the extent that it affected the major blood vessel to the leg. Delays made it impossible for vascular surgeon to intervene at appropriate time. The limb was gone after twelve hours. He refused the medical advice of the orthopaedic surgeon to amputate the limb. Requested for discharge against medical advice. Ordered for the tourniquet at the groin to be removed. What happened next was shocking. I witnessed the phenomenon called "reperfusion injury" for the first time. He was in crisis. The kidney shut down within hours. In his crisis state, he consented for the leg to be amputated. But it was too late. He had his last breath before the surgeon and the physician could intervene. He was only 36yrs with 4 kids. The youngest is 3 weeks old. He refused to heed my advice that half-life is better than half-death. So, I congratulate you for taking the wise decision. It is well with you. |
I have no qualms with any decision of the site owners, afterall, it's their site. But I get concerned when some mods acts in a rogue fashion by hiding comments that did not break any of the site rules. Thereby failing to abide by their own rules. Maybe, Seun should simply tell us that some mods are empowered to set rules based on their emotion. ![]() |
