Ive been a victim. I never pray that incompetent and corrupt people should continue being in government. Nigeria is a danger zone now, almost everyone now is a fraudster , since most believe they can have their way due to our weak justice system. I voted for sowore last election but now I'm thinking of voting for Peter Obi. I'm Yoruba but I've never experienced the evil been perpetrated during this Buhari regime since I was born. This last 7 yrs is just like hell on earth. If Tinubu win next year election , Nigerians should be ready for war or run bec he is embodiment of corruption. Corruption will be at highest level. He can't tackle banditry, kidnapping bec he will only be there to satisfy the Fulani master, as he will be seeking for 2nd term. He never condemn those Fulani atrocities for once. So while will he now tackled their attricities. I pray 2023 election will not split Nigeria sha.

This is a History that deserves to live with us forever and what democracy meant to young Nigerians then.

On October 25, 1993. Four dissatisfied
Nigerian teenagers hijacked a Nigerian Airways airbus A310 that was flying from Lagos to Abuja and diverted the plane to Niamey, Niger Republic.

They were dissatisfied by the annulment of June 12 elections by the military Head of States, Gen Ibrahim Babangida. The young Nigerians, Richard Ogunderu was 19, Kabir Adenuga was 18, Benneth Oluwadaisi was 20 and Kenny Rasaq Lawal 19.

They all unassumingly boarded the flight at MMA alongside other passengers. About 16mins before landing, they waited until the pilot announced that passengers should fasten their seat belts and prepare for landing. Next thing the passengers heard was:��

“Ladies and gentlemen, this plane has been taken over by the Movement for the Advancement of Democracy. Remain calm, we will not harm you. You will be told where the plane will land you. You do not move or you die”.

END QUOTE

The leader of the hijackers, Richard Ogunderu a 19 year old, walked into the cockpit and seized the process, and then one other followed. Two remained to watch over the passengers. When he got to the cockpit, the pilot knew immediately this was an attack, so he had to obey instructions given to him.

Ogunderu then asked the pilot to divert the aircraft straight to Germany. The pilot convinced him the plane did not carry sufficiently fuel to crossover the Atlantic and then suggested they divert to a nearby country, Niger or they will crash and everybody dies.

The two hijackers told the pilot what they wanted was where they could give publicity to their reason for the hijack. They told him they wanted Germany, because they could have a good press coverage that would support their democratic cause for Nigeria. But that couldn’t happen because of the fuel shortage.

They agreed to land in Niamey, Niger Republic. Upon landing the hijackers found themselves surrounded by hundreds of armed Nigeriène soldiers at the airport. They had earlier distributed their demands in a pamphlets among the passengers calling on the Nigerian government to overturn the annulment of the June 12 election. They gave the government 72 hours to meet their demands or else they would set the plane ablaze.

To show they were not ready to kill anyone so long govt listen to them, they released 34 of the 193 passengers, among whom were top Nigerian government officials.

The leader of the hijackers spoke to a BBC correspondent. The correspondent asked what they were fighting for, and he told him, they wanted to actualize the mandate given by the Nigerian people to M.K.O Abiola.

Nigerian government sent 24 delegates to come and talk to the hijackers, but none of them entered the aircraft to talk to them, instead they were in the hotel, asking them to come down.

The Nigeriene soldiers did not storm the plane because..the hijackers claimed to have rigged the plane with explosives, and so began negotiations, keeping the remaining passengers hostage. For three days, the hijackers and the passengers fed on coffee & biscuits.

At some point, they ran out of water for coffee, one passengers demanded for water. Under the guise of bringing them water and food, the Nigeriène soldiers eventually realised the hijackers were not armed, and under the cover of darkness, they stormed the plane.

The four teenagers were arrested, cuffed hands behind their backs and taken straight to a prison cell. The hijackers spoke neither Hausa nor French and nobody made any attempt to question them in English. They were denied food for days.

The hijackers were remanded in oNiamey prison for 9years before they were released in 2001. The Nigerian government didnt even brother requesting for them to be extradited. They wanted them away from Nigerian soil, to prevent them becoming a symbol of resistance to Nigeria's youths.

TAKE HOME:- These TEENAGERS representated the generation of Nigerian youths 1993. Intelligent, bold, patriotic and courageous. They courageously believed they could save Nigeria from the tyrannical steel claws of the military Junta.

Even as teenagers. They placed their lives on the chopping plank to save Nigeria. They weren’t asking for what Nigeria could do for them, they thought of what they could do for Nigeria. They were only teenagers, yet they wore the chest of warriors.

It's a shame and pity the kind of things happening in our country. The kind of people we have around us, human life now worthless. Even the lives of chickens, goats and cows are more valuable because those ones can be priced in the market, before the struggle to slaughter, but not so for humans as there's no safety anywhere- on the road, airport, rail, at home, at the market, place of worship, just mention it, everywhere is red.

.... So yesterday I visited my friends house and I was amazed when he was watching MBC2, MBC4 and maX satellite directly on his LG TV without a decoder

I later found out it had an inbuilt satellite function, turns out my TV ( Samsung) has same satellite function too.

My question now is?... I used to be very professional with satellite installations even Cband, so I want to attempt to install this dish myself at home even though I'm very rusty now after many years of neglect.

Please I need the symbol rate and frequency, polarisation. Will a 60 or 90cm do the job? ( I didn't have a chance to look at my friends dish size) , also is it one of those satellite I can just install/attach an LNB to an existing dstv dish?

90cm offset dish will pick mbc channels. Mbc 2,3 is on nigcomsat/ Turksat 42 east on 12518H symbol rate 29500 or you can track it on Badr sat 26 east close to where multi tv are on 12284v symbol 27500

No...all imported items are cleared in lagos through nigerian custom before handed over to speedaf in lagos, so lagos and environs enjoy faster delivery from speedaf for non standard shipping items but other states do not because speedaf hand over their non standard shipping items to NIPOST. My 5 non standard shipping items are still with NIPOST for the past 2-3 months since arrival in nigeria because my delivery address is PH. Speedaf have 2 offices in PH and they only deliver standard shipping items to us

Ok. 2 to 3 months is long o. This is main reason I stopped ordering on AliExpress till speedaf came in. I would advice anyone far from Lagos, to use relative contact in Lagos area or Ogun to collect their packages and then waybill to your destination. Here in Ogun State once you track any shipping item and is with Nigeria custom, you will surely collect it in the next 3-5 days through speedaf . Speed of item delivery is always within 2-3weeks now whelter standard or non standard goods

Once speedaf have an office in your state, all order will be delivered directly by them and not through nipost. Initial in ijebu ode, speedaf used to send non standard shipping items to nipost, but now all order whelter standard or non standard are delivered to recipient directly by them . Speedaf is far better than those useless entity called nipost

Not in all cases. Now speedaf handled both registered and unregistered packages from AliExpress. In ijebu ode here all packages are delivered by speedaf . Only that the speedaf rider will not delivered to your house but only called you to meet them at one popular point to collect your package. Their is no difference now on order from either for cainao special goods or super economy goods. Speedaf don't send package to nipost again for delivery in ijebu area. They even combined all orders together and delivered as one, just make sure you order all products the same day. To be sincere speedaf is the best , no glitches and I pray they continue with the good services being rendered. Major issues now is the bank dollar limit .

The decoder has been reset to factory default. So you need to reconfigure and set it up again. Chat me up on WhatsApp . I will guide you using different picture. Which satellite package on it before? Is it nigcomsat, tstv, multitv etc.

No fault, all channels selected. Go to satellite list, manual type the satellite name and create the frequency you want to scan

Try Badr 5 26°E mbc 2,3 etc are there. You can track with single dish 90m ,both multi tv (astra 28°) and badr 26°E. You can add tstv side, belintersat 51.5°E moreplex package, some channels are free there. Satview is now on Turksat 42°E

Nothing wrong with your setup. The 12518 signal is not stable for now. It's fluctuating especially during daytime. I think the nigcomsat satellite is getting old, and may stopped working with time

You can even stay more than 2years, if you have a good lawyer, who knows the law very well.. The eviction notice, was it from any chamber? If no, then start there to pepper Dem, if its forged na big wahala for them. Make sure you don't misplace the notice, they gave to you.. Cuz time shall come when they will deny it.
