IbeOkehie:But we are already buying petrol at 230-250₦ per litre. Why can't Government just leave it like this and gradually withdraw the subsidy till we finally get used to it |
Kobonaire234:Kobonaire, I've red your well explained analysis of petrol subsidy on how it continue having negative impact on Nigeria economy. To those guys tackling you, I urge them to be logical for once and reason it out. To be sincere Nigeria can not continue like this. When ugly fuel scarcity started again this December, it was really hell for most motorists, getting fuel is really a tug of war. For how are we going to continue like this? Kobonaire , my question is ,if subsidy is finally removed, don't you think average Nigerian can not afford to buy petrol at 500₦ per litre. When subsidy was removed from kerosene, suddenly poor Nigerians can't afford to use their kerosene stove and many resort to using fire wood which is primitive. If subsidy is removed on petrol, prices will be determined by market forces and as you analysed here, for present time it may sell for 500 per litre, won't prices of commodity skyrocket to extremely unexpected level. How do you think poor Nigerians will be able to cope . Also , this subsidy has linger for too long, can't government gradually be removing this subsidy at least adding ₦10 per litre every two months till all subsidy is finally removed. The same problem of petrol subsidy is what we are experiencing in our tertiary education funding. Government can't continue subsidising everything if we need better economy |
Insecurity, ASU palaver, kidnapping, High level of insanity, extreme corruption in almost every human endeavour, hindrance to career growth or advancement, poor and dearly road network, poor infrastructure, too much dependence on God and not government, unpredictable government policy, too many crooks as citizen and also in government, all of these and more can't be bought with money. People Japan to enjoy sanity of life. If your dream is to be rich like Dangote stay in Nigeria. You can easily buy your way out |
Mrnairalandd:Because they can't cheat the system unlike in Nigeria where you can easily buy your way out. Shikena!!! |
Fearyourcreator:Dindirin, what's the excence of governance, if not to protect life and properties of individuals!!!! |
Fearyourcreator:I thought you're a reasonable human being until you degrade yourself to this level . Oponu, so you think you can live a secured life without a proactive government. I'm successful to certain level but I don't see myself and my children living a secured life. Any calamity could happen to anyone at anytime because life here is insecure |
Fearyourcreator:Lie!! Maybe you're not conversant with what's happening in your environment. What happened to me personally is even worst than been kidnapped. Nigeria really failed me despite my trust in her and my patriotism never favour. I regretted not leaving Nigeria when I was young. I pray you will experience what's I've experienced due to useless government we have here |
gassbee:That situation is random with the probability of it happening very low because they have a proactive government. In Nigeria the probability of kidnapping his professor dad is very high. If the Dad can pass through ijebu ode-ibadan road or lagos-ibadan road in his Toyota Camry by 8pm to 5am successful, even to fix a flat tyre he has Gods protection over him |
imagrg:Having better governance is a mirage. Governance in Nigeria is a rocket science. We are just hopeful that 2023 will make a change. To be sincere Nigeria is no longer worth living in. Things are just not normal again. |
gassbee:But is his father at peace as he? The father can be kidnapping at any moment with no one to rescue him. Earning big salary in Nigeria is not the main thing now. Nigerians living above average life now are the main target of kidnapping, robbery etc. No sanity again. Even if you buy your security by employing personal guide, your life is still not safe |
Gerrard59:Ƴes, you got it. Age is a factor to be considered before settling in foreign land. Once one reach 40, it's better to stay in your country, acclimatizing is a huge task for those who have lived most of their life in a place where they were born , grow and educated. But some people can still cope especially for those who have nothing to lose and with no home tie |
Primusinterpares:It really worth it if you want to live a life of sanity. Nigeria is no longer habitable for normal, honest and hardworking individual. Those who claimed you can easily make it and build a house are mostly those who have been benefitting from the corrupt system. Many Nigerians now are into fraud, scamming and all sort of illegal things, so such kind of people don't see any sense in leaving the country. Please if you're below 40 and have the means to leave legally please do now before it will be too late. We that are over 40 now are regretting not taking those decisions then. To live comfortable in Nigeria is a huge task now, no where is safe, security is at lowest ebb now, health care is nothing to write about, standard of education is low, anything investment now is scam. Youth and those below 40 especially graduates in STEM field, my advice for you is to plan your life, so that you won't be entrapped like us who believe so much in this country only to be disappointed. If not for age and cost of leaving and settling in foreign land, I won't be in Nigeria. My children are grown up now |
lordprogress:I don't know that drones are contraband. |
Bvav8gavvg:You will surely never end well with this your journey of duping people. You think you are smart but remember law of karma will surely pay you back |
CSTRR:The senators are also confused like Buhari. They don't know the best path to take, remove subsidy and inflation will quadruple, leave subsidy and continue borrowing to fund the economy. Nigeria is really in big mess. Next president will be more confused than the present liveless one we have now at Aso rock. |
Governance is really more than rocket science. No hope for Nigerians, remove subsidy and economy will collapse, leave subsidy continue borrowing to fund critical sectors of the economy. We are really in deep shit. Can Obi bring us our of this big mess. Is it Tinubu or Atiku!! God guide Nigerians in making right choice in electing next president in 2023. We are almost on the path of destruction by commiting another mistake by electing another non innovative, non challant and irresponsible leader like Buhari. God save Nigeria. Not everyone have the capacity to Japan. God save us. |
*How PMB/APC Government put Nigeria in perpetual debt and they think APC will win 2023 election* https://www.premiumtimesng.com/regional/nwest/544216-nigeria-broke-as-debt-payment-exceeds-revenue.html *SERIOUSLY SPEAKING :* Nigeria is sinking to bankruptcy by 2026. And only presidential candidates with disposition and competence to re-engineer of economy without corruption and padding could rescue this nation from the brink of collapse of the Naira, inability to pay salaries and contracts, recession and retrenchment should be sought for at this critical time. I do not think people realize how important 2023 is. That is why it seems very few are focusing on issues that matter. *What a pity.* Let me explain Last year Nigeria made: ₦970.3 Billion from oil ₦1.6 Trillion from non-oil taxes [More revenue from this than oil] ₦2.8 Trillion from a cumulative of other sources. In total the country brought in ₦5.5 Trillion in revenue Then it gets really crazy from here. Out of that ₦5.5 Trillion revenue, ₦4.2 Trillion was spent on servicing (repaying) debts from January to November. So what is left after paying debts is ₦1.3 Trillion. Which, as a matter of fact; means that what is left after repaying what we owe is not enough to run the country… …because in the 2021 national budget, the nation needs to run on a total of ₦13.57 Trillion. So since we just have ₦1.3 trillion left, an extra ₦12.27 trillion is needed. Where do we get it? Yes, you guessed right - we borrow. In 2021 Nigeria spent ₦12.56 trillion - most of which were borrowed money spent on things that do not bring money back (salary, fuel subsidy, LOOTING, etc). So if Nigeria was a man who makes ₦100k a month, he borrows ₦5 million every month to pay for light bill, and running of the house. See the picture now? Scary, isn’t it? The excess Crude oil account (which is like our savings) is almost empty. So not only does this man borrows like a crazy person, he has no SAVINGS for emergencies (like if his boss decides not to pay salary). Anyways, the finance minister thinks we are doing alright. That what we have is a revenue problem - and not a debt problem & if we make more we will be alright (this is why they are taxing everything) Of course, she could be lying. …but she maybe right too. The rule is we should NEVER borrow more than 40% of our GDP. We are at 36.9% 3.2% more and all the alarm bell goes off. Now - imagine if our revenue keeps dropping, and the debt keeps increasing. And one day - voom - 3.2% crossed! Then we will really have a debt problem. Since we currently borrow to pay salary, when the alarm goes off - further borrowing is a disaster: The Government will struggle to pay salary. (Which is scary considering that the Government is the biggest employer of labour in Nigeria) More Taxes will be imposed to raise money, Including tax of Goods which will increase the prices you pay on Foreign rice for example. Our currency will get futher devalued. Which means things will get even more expensive in the market. This is the state of the nation…YET… …the politicians still loot and take home fat salary. Imagine if we get the wrong President in 2023, who will not get these things fixed. Imagine the disaster if we push over that 3.2% If you think politics does not affect you, then maybe you do NOT see the full picture. Which is why i laugh at people who ignorantly say - ‘’I am not interested in politics’’ Well, guess what it? It is interested in you. The person who becomes the President will affect the price of your bag of rice… …your cynlinder of gas It affects whether or not it is safe to drive from Kaduna to Abuja or fly… …or whether you need to pay 7.2% or 20% VAT on your Facebook ads. It affects whether you keep selling on your Instagram page or whether Instagram gets banned in the country OUT of the blues. It affects the shipping fee you pay on your Tokunbo car. Get the picture? This is NOT the time to be tribalistic. Or want a President from any part of Nigeria. It is a time for THE RIGHT ONE. You really need to get involved. In any little way you can. Even if to get PVC, try go vote. If your Vote does not count they won't be chasing people away at polling stations. *God Bless You Richly As You Respond To This Clarion Call !* Copied |
Stop converting dollar to naira since you're not paying in naira and you earned in dollar. Cost of living are not the same |
johnfem321:The same judge will only give 4 to 10yrs to corrupt politicians who stole billions. Nigeria situation is just too complex, and these the reasons why young people are japaing. There is no sense in this judgement meted on these young people, stealing phone with armed cutlass is still a burglary case not fully armed robbery. |
Ogun07032601473:Oloriburuku. They should contact you for money ritual. |
rusher14:Yes, why not. We need to get rid of these kind of people from our society because they cause more harm than good. I hope you're not one of them. |
dollynnn:And those who duped people and stole billions should be given presidential pardon after been sentenced to 4yrs in prison. |
rusher14:So robbing with a cutlass is a grievous crime and scamming , fraudulent acts are non grievous. Do you know how many life's has been destroyed due to activities of this corrupt people. It's only China that really got it right by executing corrupt politician. We will continue living in our present pathetic situation if we continue to reason like this. Arm robbery is bad , equally politician stealing billions is also grievous. Both should be sentenced to life imprisonment or death by hanging |
Budget minimum of 1million for 2kva setup. 2000w pure sine wave inverter is around 150k, 400w solar panel , at least 5, 80k per one gives 400k. Mppt charge controller, 60A around 80k. At least 2 ,200ah deep cycle battery, around 125k per one give250k for two. This is just minimum setup that can work for at least 8hrs during the day. This setup can't power your device in the night except for lighting . I assumed that the mini flat is not using power hungry devices like electric iron etc. |
So one year will soon be wasted. This country is a joke and when it is close election , the useless government will succumbed to ASU demand. I foresee December or January as resumption time for ASU |
Namzy:Ok. Open dispute with evidence to prove that the seller really goof. Some sellers are really stupid, there was a time one criminal sent two fake 64g memory card as original. I just did a video recording of how I use h2test software as evidence to back up the final judgement by AliExpress customer care. I won and my money was refunded. Just show all evidence to win your case. Those seller are sometimes smart on buyers |
chiboyne:When no video of him opening the package. His friend is a suspect |
jboixxx:I've never heard this before but I suspect his friend |
burner44:Is a lazy Nigerian youth |
Encitee3991:Most are fake memory card. If previous buyers have not tested it with h2test don't buy it o |

ILuvKIDS:That's the problem with nigcomsat/ Turksat. The signal is not always stable. Most times you will be seeing no signal |
