Someone said "the Igbos will will not appreciate Buhari for this...." are the Igbos not tax paying Nigerians? So we should kneel to Buhari because he is repairing runway. |
Happy new year! 2020 has no choice but to be my year of All Grace. |
I see reasons in what CAN and PFN are trying to do. Everybody must!I mean must!! protect his own. The muslim fanatics have mislead us for too long,in our constitution nothing shows we are a unified nation because sharia is mentioned several times. The muslims are protecting and pushing forward their own so christians should do same. IBB and Yaradua cheated on christians and that action needs to be reversed. |
Politics is a game and the winner is the best player. It takes a last minute turn-around for all the efforts of a particular individual to be fruitless. Don't trust PDP on this one and APC should not glory on this kind of statement because it is political. Every politician can mobilize crowd, that is what they know how to do best. PDP is not bothered about the crowd following Buhari because the actual knowlegible people that will vote are in their offices and shops working and doing business. The crowd of jobless people, paid people and few party supporters can easily be manipulated so its a matter of you playing your cards well. Has any office or shops closed because PDP or Buhari is doing campaign? The game is still on!I give it to nobody at this point in time. As Ekwueme said "it is after election day we will know." I have to say this,GEJ still has the advantage!! |
So we should blame it on GEJ. What are the State and Local governments doing with their allocations? We should learn to hold our leaders at all levels liable. |
The rev has always been on his own. The Holy Spirit can not be confused and nobody,I mean nobody has the right to portray the Holy Spirit as being confused. Men of God should mind what they say on the alter. If they want to take bride or turn politicians they must drop the microphone and leave the pulpit alone. They should not drag or confuse the congregation. I know who I will vote for because I know he truth. 100 Rev. Mbakas, 1000 Pastor Tunde Bakares and 1000000 prophesies will not change my mind.So they should stop wasting their time. |
OBJ is not sure of what he is saying. How can a man base his writings on mere hear say, "I heard that" and "I heard that" Did he research or inquire properly? Secondly, was his administration better than GEJ's own. It is evident that infrastructure wise GEJ's administration is far better. What is the use of a fat bank account when you have no food in the house. Thirdly,is OBJ not part of the problem!?He should sit down and stop making noise,we know the truth and will not be fooled. Finally,GEJ should just ignore him as usual. You know when you ignore a man who is saying non sense, his conscience begins to tell him words. As OBJ's conscience is now making him say"I am not quarrelling with GEJ" as if we care. Make your point and move on afterall, its your opinion and Nigeria is not your property. You are entitled to your opinion. |
Always trying to run when you have not crawled properly. Always wanting to show off when you are dirty inside. Please come and clear the garbage on my street first before you start washing Lekki phase 1 and Alausa. |
Is Amaechi trying to mock himself? Well, there are lots of people who are not interested in all these political drama. Our politicians have nothing new to tell us that we have not heard in the past. In the end they would have shared the positions among themselves ,we know those that will win. |
I thought Ghana said they will be exporting electricity to Nigeria but they don't even have gas to cook. Such a careless talk from the president of Ghana. |
The era of godfatherism must end in this country. That has been one of the reasons we can not practice full democracy in Nigeria. If I was GEJ,I will not beg OBJ for any reason! I will go all out and use all within my ability to ensure my return. After all,its all about the people. OBJ,can not win any election even in his street at Abeokuta. He has been overrated over the years. His mates like IBB has left the stage and is allowing the younger generation to take the stage. If OBJ wants to be relevant,he better move up to an elder states man for his own good. |
I have been thinking about this boko haram issue for a long while now and have come to a full conclusion that individuals within the North East are sponsoring them. We read in reports that 80,45,50,100,150 etc boko haram members have been killed and the questions I ask are: 1. how do these numbers grow? 2.who are those who volunteer to join them? 3.how do these volunteers get paid?etc We should stop looking outside the North East for the sponsors of boko haram but look within the North East. Their numbers are really growing and this should give us concerns. Concerning the missing plane,it might have crashed or................let them keep looking. |
Goodafternoon all. I took time to read most of the post on this topic. OP, you are right in most things you talked about but one thing I will never agree with you is your saying that "what you leave school with determines what you get in life."What you will be in life far outweights your certificate. Your certificate is a piece of paper compaired to what your potential in life is. My MD graduated with HND, civil engineering YABATECH, worked hard and developed himself. As we speak, he is an authority in Water and Sanitary Engineering. Your potential matters alot in life. Your landing a good job does not depend on your grade in school but your ability to perform when it matters most. 2.1 grades are on the streets while 2.2 grades are getting jobs because of their ability to perform when it matters most. Some 2.1 grades don't even get a chance in those big corporations you listed because of the long queues. I did alot of test in oil and gas companies when I graduated and nothing came out of it. Many even decide to run abroad to get Msc in oil and gas to increase their chances of employment. In the labour market what you need is God's favor!I work as a Consulting Civil Engineer, I never believed I could get this far. I have done very big budget projects but while I was in the university, my course adviser never mentioned my name. As we speak, an executive director asked me if I could take a job as an assistant Project Manager in the IT firm he works for because I do basically contract management. He said his firm prefers people from the construction industry to take such roles. Look most of my mates who graduated from Oxford University don't have the kind of opportunity I have. Lesson to be learnt: work very hard, aim for the bestest, be focused and always know that no man has ever become great without a supernatural intervention-hold on to God. Thank you. |
The proprietors of schools have gone to bribe the government. The selfishness of a few will destroy this nation. We should be concerned of the health of children and facilities should be put in place to keep our children safe.We are no longer thinking straight because of money. Fashola and other state governors should intervene in this matter.Things should be put in place before school resumes. |
Amaechi has shot himself in the foot again. He has proven to the political class that he is a baby and should never be trusted.APC is watching him! One thing that people should know is that when there is a crisis, how are you able to be managed?do you have respect for the party that you are in crisis with?Amaechi has failed in all respects.Imagine a crisis involving Amaechi and the APC leadership, alot of secrets will be uncovered,APC be warned!men like Amaechi are bomb shells!! What Alams told Amaechi is TRUE,GEJ will do all in his power to make sure that Rivers state does not fall to APC.PEJ will relocate to Rivers State because of Amaechi, infact INEC might not function in Rivers state if need be,it will be war!! And for saying that APC has fallen to Rivers State is a lair!!Let us wait and see. |
I read somewhere that the doctors were begging. The person who posted this topic I guess is a doctor, he just wants to prove a false point. I visited a government owned hospital on Wednesday and was told that other doctors were already applying for the position of the sacked resident doctors. Before now, I had a soft spot for doctors but now, I see them as greedy, self-centered, and selfish. I even approached a Consultant doctor who without shame told me that people who are critically ill should visit private hospitals, immmediately she said that I looked at her with so much disgust. They are fortunate to meet a GEJ or to be in a time when democracy is accelerating in Nigeria if not, they are due for kirikiri! |
People just come to nairaland and make comments, where have you travelled to?Don't just sit in your backyard and make comments! |
One thing I give to APC anytime is their ability to use the media,to draw crowd from any and everywhere but one thing I know PDP for is their ability to spring surprises when needed.PDP is the game! As far as Rivers State is concerned,APC will never get it!Amaechi is just dancing to his last music and he knows it. |
Most Nigerian graduate are really unrealistic in their quest to secure jobs. When I finished school, I was doing test with oil firms but I later realized that the queue was just too long so I decided to do something about it. I went for experience believing that if I get it, I would not have to stand in queues to get an oil job. I started with small firms that paid me as low as N13,000 a month. In such firms, I was everything. After 6 months, I would resign and move to another firm. As I moved, my experience increased and my money also increased. Today I am grateful to God that I work as a consultant now, fully qualified and still moving higher. N13,000 is not up to my tithe now and age is still on my side all thanks to God.I will soon move to that oil firm which I desired for years ago as an experienced hand. Also, most Nigerian graduates do not understand the terrain. You as a Nigerian graduate is competing with a foreign graduate (LAUTECH graduate against an Oxford graduate) who has a better edge than you, so you must work harder and know something he does not know. So stop blaming corruption, think global and work with that mentality. |
GEJ means good for this country but still, this is a game of power control and its all what politics is about. He wants to show show is boss. The incumbent has so much power in this country than you can imagine and no body can oppose him. I pray God will guide GEJ to govern this country better. |
When APC came out,I looked at them and was delightful though I did not like the sight of Tinubu. The recent turn of events has really surprised me.Why is a party that came out and told us that its mission was to oppose PDP and wrestle power from them to change the system still injecting the same PDP members into its fold? Today Amaechi is a bad man because he is in PDP, tomorrow he is a good man because he has moved to APC.This is all political confusion.APC is a confused party! After you sign an agreement with these formal PDP members will they not be part of your governing system? It is the people that make a party not the party that makes a people,so how and where will the change come from? PDP is passing through a transformation process and I believe they will be stronger after this. They are throwing all their confused elements to APC so I think APC is the confused party. I will rather remain a supporter of PDP and uphold the Jonathan's administration. |
I wish this makes front page so I can get more advice.A friend of mine brought in some phones from abroad and they are relatively cheap. His prices are so cheap compared to the open market, like almost 2.5x lower than the open market price. I know this is xmas period and prices of items abroad have dropped due to clearance sales but how good are these phones?I don't just jump on cheap things because they cost me less cash,I believe in quality also.If a Samsung Galaxy sells at N35k then I need to really understand how,why and what is the quality compared to the open market. |
There are two kinds of people that leave the shore of this nation: 1. The hustlers/niggers/fine boys/godfathers 2. Others Your kind depends on how you left this country, the condition you left behind and the information you have.Si where do you belong? This babe belongs to ...................... |
I agree that most Nigerian songs are nonsense. Its the producer that give these songs life with beats. Actually, the songs are not what baffles me but the title "Superstar" that these artist give to themselves.Someone whose lyrics are nonesense calls himself a star soon they will start receiving national honours.See what it took MJ and other foreign artist to become superstar but our own is different. With any stupid song they start walking on the red carpet. |
Mr President,I observe that alot of people don't like you and sometimes,I wonder why.Other presidents have come, they have never achieved what you have achieved but they were not even called as much bad names as you have been called. They don't realize that you have just spent 2-3years in power. You can not turn Nigeria around over night. I support you, alot of realistic Nigerians especially the youths support you and there is nothing your critics can do about it.Criticism is welcomed in democracy but I challenge your critics to be objective. I personal wish you long life, health, wisdom and sound mind. HAPPY BIRTHDAY |
As I said before, vote APGA!APGA is the Igbo brand and we need to believe in it and work with it. As for the election, its a Nigerian system.Even the APC can not deny electorial malpractise in their states. Its a faulty system every body takes advantage of when its at your disposal. I want to congratulate APGA in advance because at last count out of the 21 LGAs they have won 14.Even if you dash APC the rest they can not win.I want to also congratulate the PDP,they fought well. I predicted the result to be: 1. APGA 2.PDP 3.APC and its turning out to be so. Tinubu should go and rest just like he did in Ondo State.Go and assemble your lawyers and lets see how it goes. INEC just suspended or postpone the elections in those wards just for the records incase anybody goes to court.INEC's legal team is also very smart. Congrats to the people of Anambra.Goodnight. |
Vote APGA!!Don't allow your state to be ruled from Bourdelon road,Ikoyi.Let us Igbos believe in our brand, develop it,package it and sell it to the rest of Nigerians. APGA can never win a stool in the West but they want to win a seat in the East. Vote APGA!!!!!!!!!! |
We the Igbos should maintain our brand which is APGA.We should believe in APGA,pray for APGA,develop APGA and package APGA to the rest of Nigeria.Let us don't allow a foreigner or foreigners to tell us how to run our own state with their head quarters at bourdelon Road,Ikoyi. Go and vote for APGA,if APGA has its short comings deal with it. Why should APC win a seat in Igbo land when we can not win a stool in their tribalistic infested land. GO AND VOTE APGA!!!!!!!! |
APC rules more in the media than on ground.Nigerians will not be deceived by media politics. The same thing is going on in Lagos State, politics by media. In Ago Palace Way off Okota Bus stop the road is not up to 4km and the construction has been ongoing for more than 4 years now and just bet me,tomorrow Fashola will bring camera men and produce a film of his so called achievements. |
its not about the party but the people who elected the leaders and the leaders themselves. We as a people are getting what we deserve. Now APC has emerged without looking and considering the people that make up the party(party leadership)the people (electorate) have started praising them, in few years to come when the people don't get what they want and another party comes out the people runs to that party and the circle continuous. Now everything that comes from APC is good even when the governor paints the road black and builds a house withs millions of naira allocated to them.Do we really know what we want as a people? Now everybody is condemning GEJ because they have seen APC without considering the progress the nation has recorded in the last months.Let us open our eyes as a nation. The circle continuous! |
