The redmi note 5 pro is the indian variant of Redmi Note 5 in china, it is almost the same device save for the difference in front camera; 13mp front camera for China version, 20mp front camera for the India version. Also, the India variant launched with Nougat 7.1.2 while the China variant launched with Oreo 8.1, but I think the india variant should already have the update to Oreo 8.1.

The second the device up there is just the redmi 5 plus as named in china, it is named the redmi note 5 in India(this is the main confusion ). My advice is that you should take the china naming scheme more seriously because that is where you would most likely be purchasing your device.

Back to your original request, just as @Gptech posted, get the Xiaomi device with Snapdragon 636 available on Aliexpress.
It has the 3+32gb, 4+64gb and 6+64g variant; na your money go determine where you go dance go.

Note: make sure you get the one clearly marked Global version not just global rom; it has all the 4g bands utilized in Nigeria save for band 28 used by Glo.

I was about selling my phone to get the Note 5 when I saw another Latest M something again.. KILODE!!!

Lastly, Xiaomi should try and be unique with their designs , I am tired of people asking me if the phone I am using is IPHONE or SAMSUNG

I broke the screen of my xiaomi redmi note 5a prime, the 3g ram yesterday. First drop ever, the screen shattered despite a screen guard not designed specifically for 5a prime. Could not get one for it and using that pending the delivery of the rugged case and screen protectors I ordered for from Aliexpress. Can I fix the screen in Nigeria? Any idea as to price also? Hello Xiaomites, I have been trying to add my account and device so that I can start my bootloader unlocking process on my Redmi Note 5 but I keep getting an error to connect to the network and try again but my data is active and the network is quite strong, I have even tried while connected to WiFi but the same error. Please who has idea what I should do because on a serious note I'm having a bad experience using MIUI and I wish to install a custom rom.
