😁😁 Can you now agree that Your life and existence on earth is meaningless without wailing and crying Igbo ooo and doing tribal banters 😁😁.

You will be in your dying bed still be wailing and crying Igbo ooo😁😁😁.
It's your destiny na.
Same can be said of the Igbo OP that left all the poverty and lack of infrastructure plaguing his own state, but instead is focusing on another man's state. That is foolishness.

These guys are just so dumb that they wake up and "Copy and paste" slogans from other climes.

This was how @PeterObi woke up one day and travelled to Egypt. He claimed he went to learn how to generate electricity (he visited a switchboard in one Egyptian power station and returned- that was it!). Now he is here asking to "tax the rich" as if the electricity tariff increase is not for the same rich and overfed good-for-nothing rich buccaneers as if fuel subsidy removal was not meant to benefit the Nigerian nouveau riche, as if the rich pay taxes.

They support their Uncle @officialAbat to decimate people with low incomes; as soon as people with low incomes are further destroyed, they start commissioning boreholes for them. DUMB People!

By the way, how do you tax the rich who hide their wealth in tax havens?

This is so ridiculous that a presidential candidate will stoop this low. How is this any different from giving people transistor radio like Sheu Sani did the other time.

Is this what he want to use to get Muslim North vote in 2027?

CC: Mynd44
If he like, he should gather all the almajaris and eat concoction rice & chicken leg with them from now till next election, and even call the camera men like Channels and Arise TV like he always does, he is just wasting his time. In addition, he has 20,000 boreholes to build and 40,000 geepee tanks to buy.

Nigeria and Naira saboteurs are yet to recover from the instructions given to banks to stop using foreign loans as collateral. The CBN knows that no debtor will be able to abruptly liquidate a loan within 90 days max period. The implication is that the debtor will be forced to sell the fx to the bank at prevailing rate. No bank wants its exposure risk-weighted 150% of CAR.

To people still hoarding the dollars, please continue. grin

Peter Obi also failed when he tried to be a godfather to Obiano.

Chimaroke Nnamamini (Ebeano) is the only one that comes 2nd to Tinubu; however, Nnamdi Kanu poured sand into his garri. Rochas Okorocha, Sullivan Chime, Peter Mbah, Frank Nweke, Ekweremadu e.t.c are all products of Ebeano.

voiceofpaul:

Dr. Allen Onyema’s Air Peace’s airline inaugural flight from Lagos to London is a significant economic achievement and the most wonderful part of this story is the Isi-Agu that the airline’s hostesses wore. Putting on the Isi-Agu is remarkable as the cultural and historical stories behind the design of these cloths have amazed the whole world – right now, a lot of people including myself would have known now that the Isi-Agu attire is reserved for men who have killed a leopard, a show of strength, valor and honour in the Igbo Culture. As short as the story is, there is an economic power behind it. This is true because the demand for cloth can rise astronomically and it can become a global phenomenon. The same way that global consumers adore those who wear expensive Balenciaga, Prada, or Louis Vuitton, is the same way that those who are not Nigerians would appreciate the magnificence of Isi-Agu.

Provided that there is a global demand for Isi-Agu, the purchase order from these demands would flow to the Nigerians manufacturing the cloth, and in return, the producers would have to hire a lot of people to help them meet the demands – hiring people would mean that people have jobs, their taxes, insurance, retirement, social security packages are paid – and that way, the government has more money to reinvest into the economy – this is the way to grow an economy.

Additionally, one of the passengers on Air Peace posted that the airline served pounded yam, and Jollof rice on board. This is huge and commendable. What will happen is that demand for pounded yam, efo riro, oha soup, ogbono, egusi would increase astronomically and by so doing give jobs to people in the value chain of that business. Imagine that Nigeria manufactures all the Boeing airplanes that Air Peace wants to purchase. Statistically, it would cost Air Peace about 20 trillion Naira to purchase these planes, but the sad part of it is that the money would go to the American economy and not into the Nigerian economy.

Last but not least, we need to give accolades to the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu for granting approvals to Air Peace. I learned that the company has faced obstacles for years in getting permits. In essence, let us support everything Nigerian, everything African, be it our language, food, clothes, vehicles, and many more, this is the only way to grow economically as a country and as a continent.

My only comment on Isi-Agu is that Nigeria is a multinational country, just like Russia with different ethnic groups with their own cultures, traditions, and philosophies of life and the most predominant are the Igbo, the Yoruba, and the Hausa. Since Air Peace still operates as a Nigerian firm and offers their services to everyone within the country, the company could have just represented all the cultures in their attire – this will show inclusivity and diversity as one of the values that the company believes in.

Good article but just a bit confused about the history of isi agu. Maybe someone can elaborate on it.

Isi agu is a recent entry to Ibo clothing culture. I doubt any leopard (even though the prints are lion) were being killed anywhere in Nigeria.

Isiagu is also velvet fabric. Origin is likely China.

My friend had a look at Gatwicks Instagram to see if Air Peace received a water Canon salute when the inaugural flight landed.

Not only did Air Peace not receive a water canon salute but also Gatwick did not even bother to announce the inaugural flight on their Instagram. Airports always announce new flights on their social media. You can see in the profile above that they announced new flights with airlines from Azerbaijan and Swiss Air in the last few days.

This is disgraceful behaviour by Gatwick. Air Peace PR personnel really need to make noise about these things

Crime / Court Sentences Tiktok User To 3 Years Jail For Defaming Eniola Badmus by adamusuleiman1: 8:26pm On Apr 04
Nwakaego Okoye was convicted on Wednesday, April 3, after she pleaded guilty to the charge brought against her.

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos State has convicted and sentenced a TiKTok user, Nwakaego Okoye for defaming a Nollywood, Eniola Badmus.

Nwakaego Okoye was convicted on Wednesday, April 3, after she pleaded guilty to the charge brought against her.

She confessed to have defamed actress Eníola Badmus because a friend, Fortune Ibe, promised to pay her N200,000 to do so.

However, for being remorseful, Justice Oweibo gave her the option to pay the fine of N150,000 in lieu of jail time, saying that her action contravened Sections 24(1)(b)(2)(a)(c) and 27 of the Cybercrimes Act, 2015.
It was learnt that Nwakaego and one Chimabia who is now at large were jointly charged for the offence.

Meanwhile, in 2023, the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) said that the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Court had declared Section 24 of Nigeria’s Cybercrime Act vague, arbitrary and unlawful.

SERAP said the ECOWAS Court gave the ruling in a suit it filed before the court, saying that Section 24 of the Cybercrime Act was contrary to the rule of law; therefore, "the Nigeria Police cannot charge anyone with cyberstalking based on the provision of Section 24."

“The ECOWAS Court has ruled (in the suit brought by SERAP) that Section 24 of Nigeria's Cybercrime Act is vague, arbitrary, and unlawful.

“So, it is contrary to the rule of law for the police to charge anyone with supposed "cyberstalking." Section 24 is INVALID," SERAP stated on its Twitter page.
